Worst experience ever. Today I had a hair appointment at 11:30am I wasn't able to make it because my 80 year old father had a stroke this morning and I could not make it to my appointment as I'm sure many other people would do the same. I'm currently sitting in the ICU. I called to reschedule and yes this is not my first time rescheduling because life does happen, the women who answered refused to reschedule me and refused me services. She also refused to give me her name and hung up. I've been going here over two years and spend tons and tip very well to now be treated like this. I've been coming to Studio 455 and working with Dawn since 2010. She is truly wonderful to work with and does an amazing job, both with color and cut. I've gone from blonde, to red, to dark brown, to blonde, to brown, and back to blonde. Throughout the process, she has made it the healthiest it's been in my adult life. She always gives important feedback about the amount of time and process it will take to do colorings correctly (transitioning colors and shades). I have been going to Studio 455 since they opened. When you walk in the door you are greeted with a warm welcome by the reception staff. The salon is beautifully appointed and updated frequently. Most of the staff has been there since the beginning and are all very talented. Although the assistants change from year to year, many stay on as stylists after they have completed their course work. The salon offers all the necessary services to keep us looking well groomed. I moved out of the area 3 years ago but still come to Studio 455 for my grooming. read more

Lisette the hair stylist I'm using is CONSTANTLY cleaning before you sit, before she puts equipment on the tray and washes her hands before she begins. Not to mention she is a GREAT stylist! Wow!! As someone who has curly hair and is terrified of getting her hair cut (so much so that I hadn't gone in over a year), this was the best experience I've ever had in a salon. Jen was absolutely fabulous! I told her my hair concerns and as fellow curly haired lady, she was able to empathize. She took care to only cut what needed to be cut and gave excellent guidance for my hair care specific needs. From now on I am a loyal customer! The studio itself had a really interesting look that read unique and modern. I liked the mirrors hanging down in the middle of the studio. It added a change to the typical chair-facing-a-mirror-against-the-wall format. The receptionist, the hair dresser, and even the shampoo girl were all very professional but never was overselling their kindness. Everyone seemed genuine and never fake or obnoxious like other salons. Overall, the experience was very enjoyable and my hair came out looking great.
