I ended up having a fascinating discussion with an artist about some of his stunning artwork depicting photos of nebulas and other beauties of outer space. These works are full of glorious color and I simply couldn't believe they started out as photos taken from here on Earth ... they looked Hubble-worthy! I ended up purchasing a very special wire animal sculpture that called to me, and I believe I will be back to add one of the astral photos to my collection at a future date. Prices were very reasonable and the owners (George and Rebecca) were very friendly. George even carried my purchase to my car, parked a couple of blocks away! If you like art and unusual gifts, don't miss this gallery!

We walked to see the store and we greeted the lady quietly as she was on the phone and we didn't want to interrupt. I saw that they had cigar box guitars so I was fascinated by them. I checked to see if they had a sign or anything but they did not. So I carefully picked it up gently and strummed some chords. It was all hooked up to an amp and everything so I assumed it would be okay to strum unplugged quietly. She quickly got off of the phone I assumed to help us but instead she accused my girlfriend if taking pictures when she was not. She was merely checking a fb post. She continued to talk us down by saying that there is a sign near the door when you walk in and that it is common knowledge that you don't pictures in art galleries and museums. She also said that it is nice to ask permission to touch items in the store before doing so. She continued to tell me most people have respect for other people's things. We shrugged it off because we didn't want to start anything. It wasn't really until my gf told me she wasn't taking pictures that I lost my patience after we left. Because I was apologizing profusely for her taking pictures when she wasn't. I went back and let her know that her practice of business is garbage that the way she talked to me and my gf was not okay and she needs re visit customer service if she was gonna continue to run a successful business. She was very quick to show me the door and to not tell her what to do with her business. I wished her luck running her business.

I had them sent to me, and took them to be framed by Artists Edge Poulsbo. The charge was almost $600 for two rather small items, but I paid it anxious to see my 3-print set reunited. I was told they would be ready in two weeks. On the day they were supposed to be done, I got a voice mail message saying the machine they used to cut the matting "ate" the mat, and they would have to reorder it, delaying finish by another week. The next week I called to confirm delivery on the day promised (Thursday) and this was confirmed. I didn't get there til Friday (I drove specially from Bainbridge Island to pick them up). The framing wasn't done. Then when I got home, I found another voice mail message saying that they had damaged one of the prints, and would try to find a replacement. The other print would not be ready until the following day. Despite ruining this rare print, and missing delivery deadlines multiple times, I never got any apology or other expression of regret on their part. They seemed to regard it all as no big deal (maybe missed deadlines and ruined prints are a common thing at their business). I demanded a refund, which they gave me. I will now try to find another print, and start the process all over again. I will certainly never do business with Artists Edge again.

Friends recommended Adem at Shirvan Rug Gallery for cleaning and repairing our rug. His wife Birgul put us at ease and told us to bring it right in. She told us that her husband could do his magic on the rug and not to worry. We may have sacrificed a good glass of wine, but Adem and Birgul didn't just rescue the rug, they made it look like the wine never stood a chance! It looks like new! Hopefully, we won't spill another glass of red wine on our rug, but if we do, we'll call Adem and Birgul. Thank you for a terrific job! We highly recommend Shirvan Rug Gallery for their beautiful carpets and excellent customer service. Rick & Lilly Ransdell

They are experts at cleaning, repairing, and restoring Oriental rugs, and their prices are fair and reasonable. Not long ago I almost ruined the lovely Oriental runner in my kitchen. But my story has a happy ending. This rug is perfect for our home. The only problem is that as the years passed, I noticed that my lovely rug was SO soiled that I was too embarrassed to take it in for repair and cleaning. I love that rug, and I wanted it to be gorgeous again! Adem, the owner, is a GENIUS at hand washing, repairing, and restoring Oriental area rugs.
