Ghost Gallery is now in the Pacific Place! And it's a bajillion times better than it's ever been. You now take an elevator up from your parking area. An elevator is a small room that transports you to entirely different altitudes. And there is also a chance you will need to use an escalator. An escalator is like a set of stairs that doesn't require you to burn those calf muscles. But once you arrive in Ghost Gallery you will no longer be required to use any sort of altitude adjusting means of travel. And once you arrive, you can then buy all kinds of sweet and sick jewelry, artwork, wine, and household goods that your pseudo goth and witchy friends will forever be envious of and/or the grateful gift recipients of. read more

This is an adorable little gallery tucked away behind a wooden fence and down a path on a lawn lined with lights. The collection brought together is lovely - fun, affordable jewelry made by local artists, miniature art that's accessible to anyone and a main rotating exhibit. There's some vintage clothing and a nice selection of affordable wines, and everything just comes together so nicely in the space. Maybe I'm biased because the curator is also my building manager (how lucky am I?) but she's a lovely person who has done amazing things with the space and the collection. read more

Lovely. I liked the fact that there were a multitude of options when I got a gift certificate, I thought art, but left with some covetable jewelry instead. Not that that weren't tons of art options, from cheapy-cheap to about $500 if I remember correctly. Super affordable, really accessible pieces too. And WHAT? Wine too? No you didn't. Seriously, this is like my soul's grocery store. I just went to Seattle for a mini-vacation. I live in Hawaii, so I definitely wanted to go somewhere cold and somewhere where I could go to small shops, antique stores, and art galleries that I can't really find here in Honolulu. I looked on yelp and saw strong reviews for the Ghost Gallery. I was intrigued by the name, so I decided to go take a look. It was my first night in Seattle, so I set out walking. I was a little confused when my GPS stopped me at a fence and said I had arrived. It wasn't until I peeked my head aroud the corner that I saw the little walkway leading up to the small gallery. I walked inside. There was only one girl working there, and she was very friendly. This place was exactly what I was looking for. The art on the walls was so amazing. I can't remember the name of the artist..maybe Christopher? There were smaller prints for sale and i'm kicking myself for not buying one. The art was affordable because there was all different sizes to choose from as well as prints. The jewelry was phenomenal. There were so many cool pieces and I loved how they were placed throughout the store; tucked away in little drawers, peeking out between paintings. There was also a selection of wine and a small rack of vintage clothing. I am really happy I found this cute little place and if any of my friends are ever in Seattle or if I ever go back, I will be sure to visit again. read more

The Ghost Gallery is a very interesting art gallery! When you go in around the corner of what looks like an apartment building at the same address you are in for a treat! The day we went here it looked like they were selling vintage clothing in their yard. I have to say I really like Seattle's vintage clothing options and this was no exception at all since they actually were selling clothing you would have fun wearing! Closer to the entrance they were selling small plants. They may have been Aloe or something similar and you could mix and match the pot and what color of gravel you wanted. They made some really cute centerpieces if you chose to use them in that fashion. Inside is the main art gallery where they have lots of unique jewelry. The necklace selection was very cool! The art for sale here is also very impressive. When we were here They had more abstract work from several artists. One thing I really enjoyed when I first came to Seattle to visit about fifteen years ago was the unique local art for sale at reasonable prices. So much of the time I don't get much local art because it is too expensive at least for someone who is not an art collector I find it too expensive. However the prices here are very reasonable and the art that is displayed here is full of creativity and life so the gallery's choices on whose art they display is spot on in my opinion. Someday I will be back and hope to get an art piece here because I would love to support a gallery like this! read more

Being a seasoned art walker and wine poorer at 108 occidental, I was excited to see Ghost Galleries new venue at the old crawl space. I like to use a lot of analogies when trying to communicate my thoughts or feelings but in this case I will just say, impressive and memorable. The current show is a best of representing the best of the ghost gallery over the past few years. The success of the show could be seen in the attendance maxing out even up to the point of the time the opening was to be over. Hidden on Denny and Olive between the St. Florence apartments and the I believe the hillside mini-mart is this wonderful gallery. My recommendation would be to hit Faire Cafe and see the art there, journey to ghost gallery and then off to B & O espresso for dessert and conclusion to a comfortable art day. read more

I've bought earrings, nicknacks (japanese magnetic boar-skull mounted hunting trophy?!!!), silkscreened dishtowel, cards for birthdays and thank-you's, framed-style art. Prices run from as cheap as $5 to $300. That's a wide range and a wide range of stuff. There is something for everyone. I love this little tucked-away gallery, although I only just discovered it after a year in the area. I had walked past it tons of times, but personally I think the pink sign out front looks pretty tacky and so I never felt inclined to peek in, until I read a rav review in The Stranger Suggests. Well, they do say don't judge a book by its cover, and Ghost Gallery adorably exceeded my expectations. A pleasantly cozy space, packed top to bottom with jewelry, trinkets, and various artworks by local artists. Love it! They have a small, rotating selection of vintage apparel (I bought some cute woven leather sandals) and beautiful jewelry - today I picked up the custom crystal and gold necklace I had ordered - gorgeous! Laurie Kearney is a genius and wonderful owner of this little gallery that has more heart and soul than most gallery spaces in Seattle. They have a featured artist in the main area, and around the corner, they have framed work by different artists. They have a variety of cards and miniature works of art and wearables. What a cute little store! It is a little difficult to find this place, which is situated in the back of a side yard in Cap Hill, but the most often have a sign out front. The wares range from paper goods, to art, to clothing, to wine. The counter help was friendly and encouraged me to browse at me leisure, even offering me a sample of wine. Since the items are all artisan made the prices are kind of all over the place based on whatever the artisan thinks their items are worth. I can't wait to return and check out some jewelry for myself. I follow Ghost Gallery on Twitter, and they are constantly posting about new items coming in, so stop in often. I didn't come here for the art gallery, admittedly. I came for the jewelry! I love rings and necklaces, and this place has loads of interesting ones made by local artists. I especially love Knuckle Kiss jewelry, and they carry her stuff here. The store attendant on the day I went was super friendly and welcoming, even as I lingered for a loooong time just admiring everything before finally buying a brass wrap ring and temporary triceratops tattoos. Lots of funky silver jewelry, and some with interesting rocks and gems, and others with horns and feathers. Definitely more for someone with a gothic or bohemian style. read more

First visited this little hideaway during a Blitz Capitol Hill arts walk. A must see! This month Kelly Clark is the featured artist and for $185 what an amazing steal!!!!! You can't buy wall art from IKEA for less than $185! Truly is a shame for some of these artists that their work is being sold so cheap but for the buyers what a great find! That's the art side. For the jewelry and gift aspect a must !! I went here because of the Capitol Hill Garage Sale. The workers were extremely nice.They had nice art and handmade jewelry. Nothing that really made me want to buy anything. I could have sworn I had reviewed this place already. This is a cute little space with nice art and affordable jewelry. I'm a guy, but I like buying edgy jewelry here for my mom (she can rock it). I'd much rather shop here than at the mall for Christmas gifts and Mother's Day stuff. I also buy artwork for my home. Their prices are pretty reasonable for most of the art, especially nice "non originals". Best of all, no attitude. They're happy to let you wander around without pestering you, but they are also friendly with information about artists and happy to have a conversation. Shop Local!
