I cannot say how much I loved working with Alysia and S2 Photo + Cinema! I originally got the recommendation from my sister as she used Alysia and S2 for her wedding. I loved how my sister's pictures had turned out and she raved about Alysia, the team and the whole process. It was an easy choice to make when it came to my wedding and Alysia was one of the first vendors I booked! Overall, the entire process was so easy and calm. Alysia's pre-wedding process was so straightforward and she was great with coming up with suggestions on places to shoot our wedding photos. Alysia and her team were amazing to work with during our ceremony and reception as well. We didn't have to worry about anything and we got the photos and video footage that we wanted. The picture quality and shots are GORGEOUS and I cannot stop looking at the pictures! We also were able to do the film package as a trial for the company and we were blown away by those photos as well. They gave us a bit of nostalgia from our childhoods and were such a different type of photo but absolutely beautiful. I highly recommend adding it onto a photo package! Alysia was so helpful in helping us curate the vibe we were looking for in our wedding photos. She was so creative during our photo shoot and amazing photos resulted from that! Alysia and the team are also so friendly and personable which made taking photos so much fun! One of the photographers even gave me her coat to warm up after we were outside for awhile by the river in some pretty cold temperatures and wind. We cannot recommend Alysia enough as a wedding photographer!!! We are not a couple that loves being in front of a camera, but Alysia gave us prompts and guidance to make us feel comfortable and at ease with so many eyes and cameras on us throughout the day. If I had a nickel for every compliment I have received on our engagement photos or our wedding sneak peek photos (which she got to us in just a few days!), I feel like I'd come close to covering the cost of our wedding. In addition to complimenting our photos, our friends and family also complimented the photography/videography team for their respectful approach in capturing the day without barking out orders and directions as I'm sure everyone has witnessed at one wedding or another. Throughout the planning process, Alysia was always available via text, phone call, or email answering questions and offering expert recommendations, providing me reassurance that we were in good hands for the big day. We booked Studio 2 Imaging for videography at our 8/13/22 wedding and are very happy with the result! Well before your wedding they send you a form with lots of questions to get to know you and find out your wedding style, as well as whether there are any must-captures on the day of your wedding. Christina was our videographer on the day of, and she was the sweetest! She was quick getting her shots, and she worked very well with our photographer. She also complimented our first dance at the end of the night, which really put a smile on our faces! We just received our video highlight and it's absolutely adorable, it captured everything we would have wanted from the day of. We booked Alysia from Studio 2 Imaging for our wedding on 2/22/2020 and she nailed it!! After our first meeting I knew she was going to be awesome to work with - she is friendly, personable, and so so easy to talk to. Upon my request, we met in person several times to discuss any concerns or anxieties that I had. On one occasion we met and scrolled through tons of photos so I could point out what I liked and didn't like which made me feel confident that we were on the same page. On another occasion we met and discussed all of the combinations of photos I wanted - for example; a first look with my dad, individual photos of me and each of my siblings, family photos, bridal party photos, couple photos etc. After each meeting I left feeling relieved - she was always very understanding of my feelings and constantly assured me that we were going to capture some beautiful photos, and she was right! On the day of the wedding she was timely and professional and brought an assistant to help capture some photos of the guys getting ready while she was with the girls. We only planned for an hour and a half of photos after the ceremony between the reception and it proved to be plenty of time thanks to Alysia. She does not mess around when it comes to taking photos and runs it like a well oiled machine. She gives great direction and made sure we stuck to our timeline while still capturing all of our photo combinations. The package we chose included the most beautiful photo album as well as two smaller albums for our parents. We customized them and gave them as gifts for Christmas and they were such a hit. My brother-in-law and his fiancé were so impressed with our photos that they chose to hire Alysia for their wedding this September. I think that's the best compliment ever. I can't speak more highly of Alysia - she ends up feeling more like your friend rather than a hired photographer. She was always kind, understanding, responsive, and flexible. I am so grateful to her for capturing the most beautiful photos that will always remind us of so many priceless memories. From day one we were impressed with the level of detail and care we received from Studio 2. They treat you like royalty every step of the way. We worked with Jack through the set up and Stephanie was our photographer. Both are amazing people! Jack takes such time and detail into your conversation and Stephanie is a rockstar! Great wedding experience! Jack was the photographer for our wedding this past month, and there are not enough nice things we could say about him. For starters, he took the train out to the west loop (where we live) to meet us the first time just to discuss everything his company has to offer. After meeting with him, we immediately knew he was our guy. While he is artsy (in the great photographer kind of way), he is also very type A and had a great plan/vision for exactly the pictures we were wanting. Then, he comes to meet us for a 'get to know you' photo shoot, just because he wants us to feel comfortable working with him on our wedding day (this is included in their already low prices). We ended up spending over 3 hours going to each spot around the city that we wanted to take pics of on our wedding day. I cannot stress how much of a difference it made on our wedding day to already know the plan, where we were shooting, and what he was looking for. As for the all important wedding day, Jack was always in the right place at the right time. We took the wedding party out on a trolley for pics around the city- Jack knew exactly which route the trolley should take, where the trolley should park, etc. His experience was a huge part of the day going so smoothly. Also, he was the perfect mix of instructive (to make sure the group stayed on task and got the desired pics done) and receptive (my wife decided she wanted one different location on the day of the wedding and he already knew the best place/angles to shoot it and how to get in and out without the hassle). Fast forward to a few weeks after the wedding, and we are in love with the pictures he took. He really captured the feel of Chicago while highlighting us and our friends/family. Alysia (photo) and Eddie (video) are the BEST!! I was annoyed when my church, Old St. Pat's had a list of photographers we had to choose from. But if it weren't for that list, I'm not sure I would have found Studio 2. Alysia and Eddie were professional and very committed to their craft. We got back proofs quickly and a flash with all of our pictures and another with our videos in a timely manner. I worked with Studio 2 Imaging for my engagement and wedding photography and couldn't be more pleased with the quality photos they took and the above and beyond customer service! I contacted Jack as Studio 2 Imaging as they are one of the preferred vendors for the church where my now husband and I were married. From the get-go he was extremely welcoming. Although they are based in the suburbs, Jack agreed to meet with us near our apartment in the city. After an initial meeting and review of their photo packages we were sold! In my experience, I found they had the most reasonable pricing while not compromising on great photography and editing. After looking through various event files on their website and telling Jack the ones we liked the best, he suggested we meet with Alysia. Alysia too met us downtown and we instantly hit it off! My husband and I brought Pinterest pictures and explained the photo-journalistic look we liked and she totally got it. So, we signed a contract and scheduled our engagement photos! For our engagement photos, we wanted to return to where my husband proposed...which was on the top of a dune over a mile hike in at the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore. "Not a problem!" I was honestly stunned that there was no additional fee or at least hesitation--instead she was excited to shoot at a new location! In fact, two additional photographers and a videographer joined-in to take advantage of the 'unique' setting! Fast forward a year to the days leading up to the wedding. Alysia reached out to go over the details of the day and what photos were most important to us. She even offered to go to the off-site locations to do a test run and make sure we would have enough time on the day-of to shoot everywhere we wanted. On the morning of the wedding Alysia was perfectly on time and got right to work. I genuinely enjoy her company so it was great having her there, but I also felt comfortable letting her manage everything--she took complete control of who needed to be where for what photo and I was totally confident that everything was in order. I had the pleasure of working with Studio 2 on two occasions. Once on a professional level when I was doing hair for a wedding. The photographer knew exactly what to do and how to go about everything as the poor bride was too distracted to make any decisions. She showed up early and took some awesome getting ready shots of everyone and set up the first look magically!! I viewed the pictures when they were available and they all turned out beautiful. On the second occasion it was own wedding, I used them because of the great job they did at the first wedding. Jack came all the way out to the city to meet up with me and discuss everything about the packages offered and what to expect day of, he was very helpful since I'm not versed in these things. Jack also answered all my calls immediately (even when he was on vacation!) between the first meeting to the day I received my flash drives. For the engagement photos and the day of Stephanie was our actual photographer. She was very professional and fun to work with! She kept in touch between the pass off to Jack till we received our pictures 3 days after the wedding. That's right 3 days!!! We met Jack in the late fall of 2015, prior to my daughter's June 2016 wedding. I immediately wanted him to photograph every memorable moment for the rest of my life. I used studio 2 imaging for my wedding photography in September. Alysia was great she did our wedding and engagement photography. I do feel as though it was not worth cheaping out on wedding photography. Stephanie was supposed to be there the day of the wedding as the second photographer. Without any notice, jack showed up instead of Stephanie and did not seem to know what he was doing and was arguing with the main photographer about my first look photo in front of me which was very unprofessional. He also handed out cards at my wedding claiming it was letting people know where to find the pictures after the wedding but I saw it as promoting his business which he did not check with me beforehand to see if that was ok. Another one of my friends said that he sat at their dinner table eating ice cream from the dessert bar. Now I don't mind if the vendors eat the food we're serving but it's a little unprofessional when you sit at a table that is assigned for my guests. On top of all of this, it has been over 130 days and we still have not received our wedding videography when I was told the latest I should receive it would be 12-14 weeks after my wedding which would have been the first week in December and now we are in the middle of January and I am yet to receive any response to my emails. read more

My husband and I utilized Studio 2 Imaging for our wedding photography and we were so pleased with the service we received as well as the results. Studio 2 Imaging was one of the studios that was provided to us by our church and after meeting with a number of them we decided to choose Studio 2. They had many flexible packages and were very reasonable in terms of cost and pricing options for the various packages. The one thing I really appreciated was that their packages did not have any upfront requirements such as having to purchase a wedding album or other requirements. Many photography companies require you to have 2 photographers or purchase an album before your photos even come back. Studio 2 offered a great package for 10 hours of photography with 1 photographer that you can hand select as well as a free engagement session and then an additional upgrade that would be included such as parent companion albums or rehearsal dinner photography. I found that offering a free engagement session was something that was hard to find with wedding photography companies so I was so pleased to see they provided this in their packages for no extra charge. The engagement session gave us a chance to learn about ourselves and the photographer too so we were comfortable on the wedding day. We used Alysia Mattea and she was absolutely fabulous! On the day of the wedding I didn't even feel like she was there which in my opinion is the sign of a great photographer. She acted almost as part wedding day of planner in helping us make sure we stayed on track in terms of timing and captured all the special moments along the way. I would highly encourage you to consider using Studio 2 Imaging and to work with Alysia for your wedding photography. read more
