My husband and I used Misha Media for our engagement photo shoot as well as our wedding. Our photographers were Mindy and Bryan and our videographers were Joey and Noelle. Although I have not gotten the wedding photos or video back yet, I felt inclined to write the review anyway based on the engagement photos and the experience of both the wedding day and the engagement shoot. Where to begin....getting photographed isn't something that my husband or I have ever experienced so it was a little nerve wracking and awkward at first but Mindy and Bryan helped us pose and made conversation to help make things more relaxed and comfortable during our engagement shoot. I definitely recommend the engagement shoot since it helps you get to know your wedding photographers and you know more of what to expect during wedding photos. During the ten hours that we had Mindy and Bryan and the nine hours that we had Joey and Noelle they were all ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL. Mindy was the lead photographer and she truly seemed like she was a part of my bridal party. She knew my bridesmaids by name and made suggestions for photo ops that I never would have thought of. Bryan did a fantastic job at making sure all the little detail shots I asked for were captured and he did a great job directing the groomsman on how to pose. Joey and Noelle did an amazing job recording the whole day - they never once got in anyone's way and truly did their job with elegance and grace. One of my groomsman said he didn't know what to expect with so much going on at once but he could tell that everyone from Misha Media were extremely professional and knew exactly what they were doing. We are so happy we picked Misha Media to shoot our wedding! The wedding planning process was stressful, but the first time I got on the phone with Michele I felt completely at ease. She understood that this was something we had no experience with and was there to guide us. From the initial pre-wedding photos taken of my friends Liz & Nevin at Wrigley Field, I had a predetermined notion that their ability to enhance their subjects through photography while using the natural elements from the surrounding settings was simply remarkable. Everything ranging from the tones, clarity, and texture of the initial photos were breath taking and worth viewing with both appreciation and profound humility. On the day of the wedding, three members of Misha Media's team were on staff to photographically record the events of the wedding day. A few notes observed through their operation during both the wedding ceremony and reception. - Outstanding communication - All members of the staff worked in conjunction to strategically locate each individual member and equipment to acquire the proper shot. Whether it was a camera with a 50mm Fix or a 300mm Telephoto, all members of the team worked swiftly and with precision to capture each moment. - Respectability - Throughout the wedding ceremony, the activities of the photographers were conducted with stealth and grace. At no point would any attendants of the wedding state that the photographers interfered with the ceremony nor violate traditions by certain conducts. Simply put, the manner in which the Misha Media Photographers conducted themselves was professional, if not exemplary. To add to the professionalism and "going beyond the call of duty", members of the photography team scoured around most of the Intercontinental Hotel to locate spots of interest to take shots of the Bride and Groom. For about 30 minutes during the ceremony, the photographers requested the attendance of the Bride & Groom and took additional candid photos of them throughout various spots in the hotel. Furthermore, the photo booth located outside the reception hall played a nice role to attendants of the wedding. Guests of the Bride & Groom were privy to having their own candid moments captured during the special occasion. What was most fascinating was transition time of the pre-wedding photos available for display. Within a mere 6 hours, Misha provided guests with sample pictures taken of the bride and her wedding party prior to the ceremony. The candid pictures not only displayed the quality and integrity of their work, but also provided a stunning viewpoint leading to the development of one's holy matrimony. The pictures displayed can best be described as a story unraveled through the eyes of a photographer. The images captured of the bride were simply remarkable. I know Misha Media is known for their wedding photography and looking at their website, I totally know why. Their work is beautiful and so creative. But what should also be noted is that they do beautiful portrait photography as well. Toddlers are inquisitive little folks but Michele did such a good job taking my son's pictures at their studio. She was fun to work with but also so patient when my little guy wouldn't sit still in front of the backdrop. What came back were gorgeous pics that really captured my son's personality. We recently got married and used the Misha Media to capture our big day. I originally met with Michele the owner at a Starbucks to view their work and talk prices and what I was looking for. Michele and Andy's shots are seriously beyond amazing. Unfortunately, they were out of our price range. Lucky for me, they were in the process of launching the Misha Media Bench Mob! The package allows you to use their associate photographers for a cheaper price. We also had a free engagement photo shoot to get comfortable in front of the camera and to work with the associate photographers - MIndy and Erwin. It was supposed to rain the day of my wedding and MIchele helped calm me down and suggested indoor locations. The day of, the rain held off and we were able to go to a bunch of locations throughout the city. It was a long day and Mindy and Erwin were just great. They provided much needed direction for my awkward husband and handled the organizing of the family pictures with ease. They were seriously awesome. I can't say enough good things about them. We got our online gallery within 2-3 weeks after the wedding. There are so many good pictures it's going to be hard to choose! If you want fantastic newborn photos, Misha Media is who you call. Mindy arrived on time, was able to settle my baby, take fantastic shots and stayed a little longer than the allotted time since my baby finally passed out! I can imagine most photographers saying "two hours are up, see ya" but she didn't and am very thankful and appreciative for it. I got almost 150 shots out of the session and for the price, well worth it. Don't be a sucker for the hospital shots, they will never be as good as their pictures and for the price, you get more digital copies in the end. I hands down recommend them for any event. Selecting a quality and experienced photographer for a wedding is one of the most important aspects to me and my now wife during our wedding planning. A good number of our friends worked with Misha Media throughout a number of events mainly engagement and wedding pictures. My fiancee and I scheduled a meeting with Michele at Misha Media during this meeting we learned more about their passion, creativity and value for photography. It was a nice meeting as some meetings can feel that the business is trying to sell you on services but not this meeting as Michele really wanted to learn more about us as couple getting married, our styles and what we expected. What we really liked about Misha was their specific expertise and experience in regards to weddings. We also liked that they had a specific team of photographers and that they did not outsource any of their work to third parties. What was also nice is the different types of packages they offered based upon budget needs of their clients. Some other aspects that attracted us in selecting Misha Media for our wedding are: - Great reputation - They have a strong contract (as we have seen some other contracts from other vendors that aren't put together that well) - Fully insured (as some venues do require certificate of insurances in order to do photography in those locations) Throughout the wedding planning process, Misha Media was very proactive in preparation in regards to providing us a timeline/time frame for the day of the wedding. A true life saver was the formal shot list that they provided to us, which is the pictures that some people take after a ceremony as this helped taking pictures after the mass so organized as the timing and flow of a wedding day is so important. I liked how Misha Media was honest with us as our original shot list was too long for the time we had in the mass so with their recommendation, even though we didn't want to, we trimmed it down which was the most sensible/correct thing to do. We actually were lucky as we were able to select our photographers for our wedding day and we went with Noelle and Joey. In regards to working with Noelle and Joey, they were a blast to work with. They were truly professional as even when I wanted them to take a break, they would still be taking pictures. Me and my now wife are not the ones that like to be at the center of attention but Noelle and Joey made everything so comfortable in regards to taking pictures. They were able to direct us what to do, how to pose but most importantly let us be how we wanted to be for the pictures. They were really creative with the spaces and locations in which we took pictures at from our first look at the Westin Hotel, Hurley Gardens, St. Isidore and during the reception. They captured all of the many special moments of the day with us a the couple getting married but also of our guests so we were able to see so many images of things that we weren't able to see being the bride and groom. The only regret that my wife and I had was not taking a picture with Noelle and Joey themselves. Big shout out to them: We had 35 table picture to take with our guest and according to my memory, I think we accomplished this in between 20-24 minutes. Amazing (and the shots turned out great) I could go on and on about how happy me and my wife are. The turnaround time on getting final pictures were amazingly quick as we had the full online gallery ready 3 weeks after we got married. We couldn't have asked for a better group in to work and they delivered on all aspects and have the wonderful, beautiful pictures that we will have for a lifetime! When my wife and I were looking for a photographer early on during our engagement, we knew that this could be the most important decisions we make durign the wedding planning. We were referred to Misha Media from a close friend of ours and instantly fell in love with the samples and personalities upon meeting for the first time. It was an easy decision after that and Andy and Michele did not disappoint at all. Everything from the online surveys to the overview days before the wedding went as smooth as can be. Our wedding took place in December of 2013 and we were fortunate to have good weather throughout the entire weekend. The big day began at the hotel and from a basic casino hotel, they helped find the best locations just outside the hotel next to a river and old bridge that made for spectacular photography. We also took advantage of the getting ready time for wonderful photography as well as a first look moment outside the hotel that I still smile when I think of it. Misha Media are experts at maximizing and using light and they did a wonderful job here as well. At the wedding venue itself, Andy and Michele worked magically and never got in the way of any happenings. They were as calm as could be throughout the experience and always courteous and kind to every guest and bridal party member. Many guests and family members commented on how wonderful the photographers were without even seeing the final products. We were strapped for time throughout the event but they improvised and kept things on schedule as to obtain all the necessary shots. We booked our wedding with Misha Media Benchmob, and we couldn't have asked for anything better. Mindy and Bryan were absolutely, beyond a doubt, extraordinary to work with. Neither me nor my husband are from Chicago, so when it started to rain the morning of our wedding (thereby causing potential problems with all of our outdoor photo spot choices) Mindy and Bryan were so completely calm and upbeat, rattling off a bunch of beautiful indoor places we could try if the rain didn't let up, while simultaneously reassuring me not to freak out because the rain may stop and they would be more than willing to battle weather and tourists to try to shoot in the spots we originally chose. We hired Misha Media for our engagement and wedding photos and absolutely loved working with Michele and Andy. They made us feel so comfortable during our engagement shoot and even stayed with us for a longer period of time than planned to make sure they got all of the shots they wanted! For our wedding photos, they surprised us by bringing two extra shooters (more photos!) and, again, stayed until they felt they had captured all of the shots. From the beginning, Michele and Andy were clear about their "vision" for wedding photography and worked with us to figure out the best package/approach given our budget. At the same time, they were receptive to listening to the types of photos we were hoping to get captured for our big day. They did a fantastic job with the photos, especially the "getting ready" photos and the evening photos. Misha Media Photographers did an excellent job in capturing our wedding day last month! We knew their work from other friends who had hired them for their weddings so we knew that we would like their style. Also, we did research other photographers and found Misha Media's offerings were reasonably priced and affordable. Michele was extremely easy to work with during the planning process. She was organized and very responsive to emails. Mindy and Veronica ended up being our photographers for the day and they did a phenomenal job working with us, our bridal party and guests. They were very professional and friendly! They went with the flow, especially when we weren't ready and had last minute changes. Most importantly, our photos turned out so much better than we could have imagined! They captured over 1000 moments and so many details.
