First and foremost, Victor (our photographer) and Matt (videographer) were amazing. They did a great job capturing our special day and if I'm rating them, they get all the stars. The company itself and the manager, Frank, are a different story. We found ConceptOne Photography at a bridal expo that we attended sometime in the Spring/Summer of 2021. Our wedding was October 2022. So we were looking for vendors with plenty of time to make things as less stressful as possible. Out of all the photographers and studios we spoke to, we really liked ConceptOne. It was within budget and offered different services depending on the package you chose. We chose a package that included the engagement shoot and Photo Booth. We also paid for video service that was supposed to have a YouTube link with our wedding video to share with friends and family. We never got that link. We only received our video on a USB drive and it was only after so many emails and calls requesting our video. Our wedding was on October 1st of 2022. We got our wedding albums in the mail, June 8th 2023. Eight whole months after our wedding. Back in March 2023, we were told via email by Sara from ConceptOne, that it would take 4-6 weeks for us to receive our albums in the mail. Eight months is way past the 4-6 weeks that we were told. When I asked for updates, I wouldn't get responses for days and the last email I sent requesting an update went completely unanswered. There were countless phone calls from me and my husband to Frank, the manager. We had left voicemails, and it got to the point where Frank wasn't calling me back, but only calling my husband back. We felt that Frank was giving us the run-around and avoiding us. This is supposed to be a 4-5 star company. If you're so overwhelmed with clients, stop overlapping clients or hire more people. That's not an excuse for you to ignore clients. Frank never ignored our calls when we still had a balance owed, but the second services were paid off, radio silence. It almost made us feel like we got scammed which is not a feeling we want to associate with our wedding day. read more

This is a review on the photobooth service for our wedding last Fall. Easily our nightmare vendor of the whole day and service was below expected/ promised. Pros - one of the cheapest options in the area since others charge ~$1000 - arrived on time - good quality digital copies - was willing to work with the space we had (it was slightly smaller than the desired 10 ft) Cons - low quality prints - used the wrong photo strip frame even though I tried my best to prevent it from happening -- had to correct this in the middle of our cocktail hour in front of everyone -- stressful!! - didn't collect a copy strip from everyone - took one of the props I had brought in and had in a separate pile :( - started packing up earlier than in the contract - had to ask twice for things, poor follow up read more

After my negative experience, the owner Sal reached out to me and assured me that my next event with Concept One would be nothing like my last. So I took a chance with them for my brother's engagement party and they were AWESOME! Booking: Everything is done online which is convenient; booked a photo booth for 4 hours. A couple weeks before the event, they will reach out with design options for the photo-strips; they have several and they are customized with your names and date.They worked with the venue to for set up and break down times. When we arrived at 5 PM for our event, they had already set up. There was a large rectangular box filled with a wide variety of accessories to chose from: signs, hats, glasses etc. Our attendant, Frank, couldn't have been better. He made sure to grab me or any other family members for photos he thought we wouldn't want to miss. He was right- those impromptu memories were captured. My brother and his fiance got their photo guestbook (well-organized with family pictures in the front) at the end of the night. Frank also helped all the kids by getting them chairs so they could be in the frame and removing them for the adults. Then, less than 48 hours later, I received the digital copies of all the prints. I can't say enough good things about Concept One! From our initial meeting with Ryan to sign our contract, to our wedding day, it was easy and seamless. Arnold was our Photographer, Ryan was assisting, and Frank was our Photobooth Assistant. The first stop was my moms house for the getting ready pictures. I was immediately put at ease as Arnold talked me through the timeline and got photos of my accessories while I was finishing up getting ready. I have always been awkward in front of a camera and never know how to pose and he was very clear and specific on ways to pose that made me feel like a natural in front of the camera! We opted for a first look as when I got the pictures back I felt that it was captured perfectly! They were very efficient at getting all of the family and bridal party photos we wanted before the ceremony. When we did our recessional, Arnold told us to stop for a kiss and it turned out to be one of my favorite pictures! He was very good at creating awesome moments I wouldn't have thought of otherwise. During cocktail hour and the reception they were all over the place, I can't even count how many guests came up to me and said how great the photographer was, they never stopped moving and taking pictures!! At one point I was stressed and needed to be bustled and Ryan was right there to ask what I needed and ran through the crowd to get my maid of honor. They truly went above and beyond the entire night. The photo booth was so awesome, Frank was great at dealing with the large groups trying to cram into a photo and they make copies for every single person in the picture! The book we got at the end of the night with the pictures and messages from guests were great! We got our photos in about 4 weeks and we had 1500 pictures!! We absolutely loved how they turned out. The album that's included with the package is such great quality, and the layout is so amazing and creative. I can't even begin to describe to you how amazing this company is. Five stars isn't enough of a rating for them!! Our engagement shoot was with Victor, he was so accommodating and personable! We loved shooting with him and our photos turned out so amazing!!! We LOVE them!!! On our wedding day we had Joe and his wife Renatta as our photographers and they we absolutely incredible! Joe ended up brining his wife along free of charge because she had a weekend off. They took the BEST shots and our photos turned out so amazing! They were both so fun and my whole family loved them! They made the family photos and everything so effortless and stress free! Our Videographer was Matt and he was also amazing! His talents allow us to relive our wedding day whenever we want to. He was so accommodating and always there to capture all of our special moments. Lastly, our photo booth attendant Luke was truly awesome!! He had all our guests take the best and most fun photos! He was so engaging and even made us a take home book with everyones photo booth photos and had them sign it for us! I really, really dread giving any business low ratings, especially family-owned businesses but Concept One has not lived up to what they had promised to do. You can read my whole review for everything that happened during and after the wedding, but the TLDR version is that we will not be receiving our wedding photobooth photos due to technical failures the day of our wedding and lost equipment. I hired them for a photobooth for my wedding two weeks ago. A few weeks leading up to the event, I let Ryan know what photo strip design I wanted and the backdrop color for the open photobooth. A few days before the wedding, the photobooth attendant called and we even confirmed the design and the text. Day of the wedding, the backdrop and photo strip design was not what we agreed upon. If this was the only thing that has gone wrong, it would have been fine. Not great, but fine. The day of the wedding, the photobooth camera AND printer broke multiple times throughout the night. I didn't make it to the photobooth until the second half of the night, and the camera was being rebooted (for like the 5th time) and the printer was already broken. You would think they would have backup equipment...The attendant was apologetic to me (as the bride), but assured me all our photos would be available online for download. The few days after the wedding, I caught up with friends and families and I heard from numerous people that the photobooth attendant was extremely rude. Fast forward to 2 days after the wedding, I get a call from Sal, the owner of Concept One Photography. He apologized for all the things that went wrong, and also let me know that after my wedding someone broke into the attendant's car and stole all the equipment overnight, which meant that none of my photos would be recovered. Not only did me and my guests not get more than half of the printouts from the wedding, all the photos that the attendant had assured me would be available online, was completely lost. Although Sal has refunded me the full amount of the photobooth and I respect that he owned up to his team's mistake and the series of unfortunate events, I cannot say I recommend them. As professional photographers, I would think it would be standard practice to back up photos. Concept One also provides wedding photography and videography services, and I can't imagine how devastated I would feel if this happened to my actual wedding photos. I understand that technology can be unpredictable and the supposed car breakin was outside fo their control, they couldn't even get the strip design and the backdrop color correct. It has now been over two weeks since this incident, and I still have not heard an update from this team. We are extremely upset we will not see the photobooth photos we took with our guests and it sucked for us to inform our guests who were looking forward to getting their photos that they wouldn't be. read more

I dragged my now husband with me to one of those bridal shows. He dreaded it but I'm so happy we went together because we ended up with a great deal from Concept one photography. We were looking for a wedding package that had the photography, videography and photobooth. We stopped by Concept one booth and greeted by their friendly staff they weren't pushy and their package looked great. We tried out their photobooth and decided right there to put a $50.00 deposit for the package. A few weeks later we met with Sal at his office in Bloomingdale he thoroughly explained the package and even gave us a timeline for the wedding day start to finish. We were sold! Sal was really easy to get in contact with and the photographer, videographer and photobooth person were in contact with me the week before. Arnold our photographer was a God send. He was absolutely so accommodating and the pictures he took were absolutely beautiful! He helped a lot of the staging of the photographs and directed my bridal party. He had a lot of great ideas for poses and at our reception he was at our beck and call if we wanted certain pictures. We just received our wedding album and it is beautiful. The pictures are gorgeous! Steve was our videographer and he was great as well. I didn't even notice that he was there (which is a good thing right?). We haven't received our video yet, but we can't wait! Our photobooth was so fun! Our guests enjoyed it especially the kids and the album was a great souvenir. Overall, concept one is a great vendor! TL;DR: Do not use Concept One. They are extremely disorganized which resulted in us: not having a photographer assigned to us until 4 days before our wedding, missing half of our photos for several days, and still not having everything we paid for almost 6 months after our wedding. This stress is not what you need when planning a wedding! I do not take leaving bad reviews lightly as I know they are very important to small businesses. However, I feel obligated to let other engaged couples NOT to use Concept One. The disorganization and stress throughout the entire process is just not what you need when planning your wedding. I will say our photos are beautiful, but there are many skilled photographers who can provide the same quality without the hassle. We have still not gotten everything Concept One is contractually obligated to provide almost 6 months after our wedding when initial turnaround time was quoted to be 30-60 days. We also had NUMEROUS problems throughout the process such as: 1. We were promised an engagement photo package with photos we could use for invitations. We were told we'd get a call 3-4 weeks prior to the shoot to pick a time. Months went by with hearing nothing, and when checking in with Frank again, I was told that I was at the bottom of the list because we were just added. He then had the audacity to suggest that there was another person with the same name who had just signed a contract and they got confused. (My maiden name and husbands name are not common...this is not believable at all) 2. We did not have a photographer or videographer assigned to us until FOUR DAYS before our wedding. This is not what you need when family starts coming in and you are gearing up for your big day! 3. Our photos were uploaded in three different batches when we were repeatedly told "these are all the photos, there are no more" yet we were missing photos from half of our wedding. 4. Our video flash drive had to be sent twice times because they sent us photos (not even all of them) instead of videos. We still do not have our highlight video because they failed to upload it to the same flash drive. 5. On day 60 after our wedding when we were promised our video with a turnaround time of 30-60 days, we got a call saying there was a problem with the sound system at our venue and concept one did not have the right hardware to connect to the venue's AV equipment. The videographer arrived at 3:00pm on the day of our wedding, so what were they doing for two hours instead of trying to get the equipment needed to film our wedding properly? We now have all kinds of problems with background noise because they weren't able to connect to the AV equipment. 6. Our video is not professionally edited. There are numerous color saturation differences, editing mistakes with the same clip showing up twice, and missing audio. After SEVERAL attempts to contact Frank and Victor, we have had radio silence and no update as to when this will be fixed. read more

This company is totally amazing. The staff is friendly and takes a no pressure approach. We found them at a Bridal event in Batavia. Sal has hired the beat staff in the business. Frank our photo booth photographer was amazing. Their option to spread out the 4 hour photo booth session is worth the extra money. We chose an all day photo session and Brian couldn't have done a better job. Not only did he help us make sure that our tuxedos were on straight, but he went way above and beyond the call of duty by taking the bride to the wedding venue so that she didn't have to take a cab or have the groom take her. He helped the bride relax during her part of the pre-ceremony photos by helping her take deep breaths. It isn't possible to have a better experience than the one that the bride and I had. Their ability to know what their clients need before they even contemplate it shows their not only their level of experience, but their amazing talent with making sure thr bride and groom looks better than they could have imagined. I strongly recommend anyone to use them for any of your photo needs. read more

Concept One had provided the photo booth for my friend's wedding at the Ashiyana Banquet in Downers Grove. Lighting was fantastic and they offered some very innovative and creative props that i had never seen before. Unlike most booths this one was very easy to use and took 3 pictures with clear prompts and indications. The booth was big enough for big groups and every picture came out crystal clear. They had a cool idea of making a scrapbook for the couple getting married and pasted a picture from the booth with a message from each couple, individual or group. The best part though, was the booth host's patience with everyone and the fact that he would print as many pictures as we liked. No complaints whatsoever. Please do not rate this vendor a 5 star if you have not experienced their service yet! I went with them based on reviews found here and I realize now that most of them were from before the wedding even took place. It's after the wedding that things fell apart. I am a week away from my 1st Anniversary and I still don't have the correct highlight video and corrections for my wedding video. I was told that we would receive our video 90 days after our wedding. It took over 5 months to receive anything. It was only after repeatedly contacting them, asking them for more information, getting told that it was the next one they were doing, to get anything. After receiving the videos, I realized that the highlight video is the ONLY place you will see any of the getting ready time or first look. Frank told me I wouldn't want to miss these moments, so I paid the additional amount to be sure I was covered. Flash forward to having 30 seconds of these hours in a video. I asked why they didn't include this time in the longer video and was told that is how they do it. They also didn't ensure that my sisters who sang a beautiful song during our ceremony were connected to the video sound and we have lost that moment forever. They also chose a random song to put with our highlight video and when I asked why they said "I thought we asked you?" Nope. Was reassured by Victor that it could be updated and resent to me. Still waiting - that was in August. Please, please, please reconsider before using this company or you may face the same challenges of them being "busier than we thought" and they stop communicating. What makes this place awesome is that it's full day coverage instead of only a few hours, which is what a lot of the other places were offering. I would recommend this company to people in the future. They are very affordable and kind. Booked them through a bridal show over a year before our wedding. The price given as a "show discount" is actually what they charge normally. Our photographer was inappropriate towards my female guests and bridesmaids, making comments about their looks and even following my maid of honor to the bathroom which made everyone extremely uncomfortable. While we did get the photos back in a timely manner, they are not well edited. Many of them look like they just had an Instagram photo filter put on them and sent as an edited version. I emailed the company about this and never received a response. However, our photo booth photographer was EXCELLENT! Very kind and patient with the kids. read more

We were beyond pleased with Concept One for our wedding! Arnold was our photographer and was absolutely on top of everything! He was attentive and efficient, and saw opportunities for photos that I know will turn out great! At one point, later into the evening, he approached me and asked if I wanted a picture with my brother, since we didn't get one of those yet. The meeting with Sal was nice, professional and explained everything that will happen on our wedding day and what the time line will look like. Joe our photographer was there the whole day, meaning the whole day (8am-11pm). This sets them apart from every other group out there. Unlimited photos, access to originals, raw video footage... all for a great price! Sal was very professional and so on top of his game, he gave us the pros and cons of both first looks and traditional photos after the ceremony. He expertise was very helpful as it essentially helped our coordinate our entire wedding day. Our photographer Bryon... one word AWESOME! He everything and then some! We learned about Concept one at a Bridal Expo, and they already had great energy. We were looking for a photo booth for our wedding and they gave us a great price with a bunch of perks! Every time I had a question, I would send them an email and I would get a quick response (I love that!). When it came closer to our wedding we found out our attendant was Frank, he gave us a call and let us know how it all works and if we had any questions. Fast forward to the wedding, He was very friendly and social. My guests loved him- so much that a friend that is getting married in 2019 booked their services! I used Concept One for photo booth services at our wedding at the end of November. I dealt mostly with Ryan and was very pleased with their service. The day of our wedding Zach was our photo booth attendant and he was very professional as well. Pricing is competitive when comparing other photo booth companies. I would definitely recommend Concept One for photo booth services at any event! I also opted for using Concept One for our Thank You cards as their pricing was better then my photographer's. I'm still working with Ryan on the production of those but I have no fear they will turn out wonderfully as well! read more

Concept One did our son and his wife's wedding last month and we could not have been happier with the staff. The photographer was amazing and followed us from home to church to the reception and was busy shooting all day long. The photo booth was lots of fun and the book of pictures was a perfect keepsake. We used Concept One for our wedding in downtown Chicago in August. Overall everyone was very happy with the photobooth and the pictures were hilarious. We were a little worried about using an open photobooth rather than an actual booth for our day but the guests loved it. The props also were very entertaining. First of all, thank you for sending Steve as our attendant. He uploaded some pictures onto CapsuleCam for our wedding (he didn't even know anything about this APP, he learned and did it!...he helped people with the props...he reminded people to write something meaningful onto the bride and groom's scrapbook (which my daughter adores)...Steve was remarkable. The only thing I wish could have been done better was that Mickey Finns wanted him to set up in a corner that was out of the way...I wish he was more in sight...because after people had a few drinks and noticed he was there, people started to line up and EVERYONE LOVED IT!!!! We all had so much fun with your photobooth. It was private enough so people would have fun. My daughter's dress got stuck on the chair (it must have moved on her gown) and she yelled...STEVE! He came running and removed the chair. It was sooo funny! He was soooo helpful and worked hard. He stayed for about 50 minutes over what we contracted him for and it only cost $50, how reasonable! However, we really had no choice, the line was so long by this time, and our guests were having so much fun that this was money well spent. In fact, the DJ played his last song (especially for the bride and groom) but no one danced, not even the bride and groom, because everyone was by the photobooth! If you are reading this, it has been TWO YEARS and we have still not gotten our wedding photo books printed or DVD errors fixed from this photo company. How sad...clearly they just care about hooking people in through bridal expos, getting paid, & forgetting about their customers after they make their money. Words cannot even describe how I feel about my photo experience on my wedding day... I was so bitter about it for the longest time until I finally just decided to crop & upload my photos through Walgreens & make my own damn scrapbook. Our photographer was the worst... she had been dealing with some personal issues & it was her first day back at work on our wedding day... clearly it was the worst judgement on management to send her back to work because clearly she was not in the right mindset to photograph a special day that a bride can never get back or recreate those moments that she missed. This review was LONG OVERDUE, but this is legitimately among the worst experiences of my lifetime. I can go on and on. I recommend spending the extra money & going with a more trustworthy company. Invest your money into people who understand how critical those moments are and how capturing them is a once in a life time experience... literally words cannot even describe. I hired Concept One for my wedding Photo-booth. Everyone love the services especially because some groups were like 5 to 6 people at once and every one will get a copy of the picture.
