I'm fairly disappointed with my experience here. It has also made me decide I probably will take my own photos of my kid, rather than continuing to pay anyone. What's included in the package is made unclear, so I never got what I expected. In addition, during the shoot he said that he could take my arm out if I had it on my kiddo and when I reminded him of this later, he said that was considered a complex edit and would cost money but they'd do it complmenetary that time. Had he told me this at the time of the shoot, we would have done something differently to get photos without me there in the background. Not cool. read more

We booked the Outdoor/On-Location Family Portraits package from MN Photo Studios for our mom as a Mother's Day gift, and it turned out great. Miguel came to my parents' house and took photos in their backyard. He got pictures of my parents together, with each of us kids, with our own families, and with all the grandkids too. Miguel was super professional, friendly, and easy to work with. He made everyone feel comfortable and was really flexible with what we wanted. I booked MN photography because they had so many positive reviews. I actually traveled from the suburbs because I was so impressed. My family and I have never done a family photo shoot and we were excited to at least get one photo for a canvas. We had no idea how to pose or what to do. Miguel was the perfect photographer, especially for people who are not experienced in getting their photo taken. We love all of the poses that he suggested. He was so funny and personable which helped capture some really organic smiles and happy moments. We also included our puppy in the photo shoot and he did such a great job capturing our dog and getting her attention as well. Needless to say we've gotten much more than one good photo that we set out for. I would definitely recommend MN photography to all of my family and friends and look forward to booking again in the future. I cannot recommend Miguel highly enough. It was easy coordinating the session with him beforehand. Communication was clear and he addressed all of the specific needs we had. He was great in person during the shoot as well. He listened to all of the shot requests we had since we were a large group of 10 adults and 4 kids, and he handled the kids really well. Miquel was awesome !! Party was in September of 2023. This review is long over due but, I knew I'd get to it. That's how great he was and I wanted to share my experience. From the time he responded to my request, I could see how efficient he was. I couldn't have chosen a better photographer for my Sisters 60th Birthday Celebration and I went through several, it was a hard decision because she trusted me with her memories. This was an overall fantastic experience. Miguel has a studio space in the city, which is hard to find--many photographers just shoot outdoors on location. Miguel was super patient with us--we had a toddler and an infant who had to cooperate --and afforded us plenty of time and accommodation. He had some great backgrounds and props to use and offered a variety of pictures: family photos, newborn, one parent with kid(s), headshots, etc. Turn around time was as promised (maybe sooner), around 4-5 days. Proof is in the pudding at the end of the day: photos turned out excellent. We had probably a dozen+ really good shots (I would have been happy with a few)! Miguel includes his time shooting, all digital prints, and some touched up and printed final selection for his package price which is amazing. Miguel is truly outstanding. We had a family photo with about 25 people and Miguel was incredibly accommodating, patient and kind. We were taking a family photo spanning three generations, and Miguel went above and beyond to accommodate everybody's needs (including very elderly people with mobility issues and those with special needs).
