From the get go we knew we were in fabulous hands with Jaysin. His energy, love for his craft, and his excitement for us as a couple was nothing short of amazing. His advise throughout the process went above and beyond Videography. Something as simple as, 'remember to take deep breaths during the day, the brain needs oxygen to remember all the special moments!' Maybe I am a weirdo, but Jaysin, our videographer, was one of my favorite things about my wedding. Here is a list of why: 1. He honestly loves weddings, and it shows in his work. 2. He is easy to get to know in your first meeting. 3. He arrived at our staging area on wedding day right on time - before I did, in fact as I was late! 4. In pre-wedding and day-of emails and voicemails, he was genuinely excited for me and my now-husband and was encouraging and supportive. Like a friend, not a vendor! 5. Our wedding trailer was done within a week, and IT IS AWESOME. We have received more compliments on it than anything else, and everyone is completely blown away. Even us. I wouldnt even need the whole video, the trailer is that good. 6. He saved the day with a last-minute equipment failure from one of our other vendors, and he stayed late to capture a couple details we wanted on tape. And send a thank you note afterwards to boot. Jaysin is an effin baller. We met him through a networking group that my husband was a part of for weddings. My husband does video and we met Jaysin at this event and knew we had to have him. When we started out this whole wedding production, I was more than willing to skimp on a videographer to save the money. Now that we've worked with Jaysin of Night Owls Media, I'm like, "What else can I have him work on us with? What else needs to be taped?!?" I'm ready to pack him in my suitcase and take him on our honeymoon! Everything from Jaysin was top notch. He had our wedding trailer done in less than a week, and it pretty much blew us away. We hired Jaysin as the videographer for our wedding in December. We originally had not thought we wanted a videographer on our "big day", but as it got closer, I changed my mind and our wedding planner had Jaysin as a recommendation. As it turns out, because of our late booking with Jaysin, we weren't able to meet him until the day of, where he was filming our ceremony and reception. He came early and stayed late, and made sure to get all of the important angles and moments. We chose Jaysin after seeing a video on someone's Facebook page. I didn't know the couple, but the video made me tear up. My photographer told me "you'll know you picked the right videographer when they make you cry at stranger's videos". This is true! I immediately emailed Jaysin who was VERY responsive (I don't think he ever sleeps). We met in person, and he was so interested in our story and his personality shines right through. We knew it was a perfect match. On our wedding day, Jaysin made me feel comfortable and like the most beautiful bride in the world. I was a little worried about having a camera on me all day, but to be honest, I barely noticed! Neither did our guests, which is a plus because it allows them to be themselves without worrying about a camera. He made it seem so natural. Jaysin was a pretty fun wedding guest, too :). He got down on the dance floor with us! We just received our online 2 song edit, and we were completely blown away by the finished product. JAYSIN JAYSIN JAYSIN!!! No words could truly express our gratitude for your work, and more importantly, YOU! You have been so involved in our wedding, from the very beginning. With that said... I feel like it's only fair to write you a review for three stages: before, during, and after our wedding. :) Let me preface this with saying, I am obsessed with all things video and photo when it comes to weddings, even before getting engaged... so I was SUPER picky in choosing my videographer. After weeding out DOZENS of potential videographers, and watching hours of his wedding trailers, I set up an appointment to meet with Night Owls. Another preface: this review will sound like I am writing a review about a friend. I did not know Jaysin, at all before meeting him professionally, so I am truly reviewing upon our professional relationship... which in the end... he will turn out to be a great friend of yours. :) BEFORE our wedding: Upon meeting Jaysin, we were met with the biggest smile, and an even bigger heart. Jaysin's excitement for his work, as well as people is unreal. All wedding vendors have to act like they are excited when meeting a couple, it's part of their job. But Jaysin? I truly felt like he was beyond ecstatic from a deep genuine place... we fell in love with him instantly. He was so excited to hear our story and I instantly felt like he was our biggest fan. His presentation was well organized, detailed, and exciting. We didn't look any further, signed him on the spot. He encouraged us to be sure, he didn't want us to feel obligated to sign. NO WAY, we are signing! LOVED HIM! Throughout the wedding planning process, Jaysin was as involved as any of my friends. Helped throw me other wedding vendor recommendations, helped talk with me to make some detailed decisions, even helped me through a timeline crisis at 12am the week of my wedding. A videographer doesn't need to do any of this... he genuinely wants to help and WILL help and will calm down any of your panics. DURING our wedding: Jaysin showed up to our hotel room, as excited as I was. All my bridesmaids talked about how he put them at ease, and how comfortable they felt around him. Some were worried "a guy in the room while we get ready?". After he chatted and made them feel comfortable, he seemed to camouflage into the day. He caught so many special moments, and would preview us special sneak peeks throughout the day, only getting us more excited. He had so many great ideas. The smile never left his face, and I felt like he was there most as a friend than a vendor - with how happy he was for us, while busting his butt to get all our moments. AFTER our wedding. Our wedding was on Saturday, today is Wednesday, and we already have our trailer!!! And let me tell you.... SPEECHLESS! I watched MANY of his trailers, if not all... so I had high expectations for our trailer. His trailer EXCEEDED my expectations. Not only did he deliver FAST, but the work and quality really showed his passion for not his work, but for us a couple. By seeing all my quirky faces that he caught, I can tell he really got to know us and strived to deliver our personality and our relationship in the video. And WOW. Just, WOW! My now husband... RARELY sheds a tear... HE TEARED UP watching the trailer. I was BAWLING... it was beyond perfect. BEYOND. It's one thing to have a good quality video, it's another thing for your videographer to truly capture the essence of who YOU are, and who you two are as a couple. I had people calling me in tears with how beautiful it was. No joke. JAYSIN, no words could thank you enough! You don't need him to sell you... in fact, that is not his style. He is not pushy at all. But once you see his work, and meet him... stop your search. AND if your deciding whether or not to even get a videographer, think again. SO WORTH EVERY PENNY!!! As the bride and groom, there is so much of your wedding day that you won't even see! He will get it all, and make it look even more amazing! Also, for those of you that have already booked with him and / or awaiting your trailer... I HIGHLY recommend you video record yourselves watching the video for the first time.
