His crew showed up three days in a row at 8 am on the dot and did an amazing job. It was noisy the first day as they took the old stucco off around the windows, but they did a great job keeping everything clean. We had Steve with Stucco Dr. just finish redoing the stucco in our atrium. We had old 70's ugly stucco. He came out, gave us an estimate, worked with our schedule and gave us a great price compared to everyone else. He was very responsive. The finished job looks amazing! The finish is a smooth finish stucco finish that has the look of Venetian plaster. Beautiful. His workmen, Burt and Burt Jr were professional, took extremely good care with protecting everything in the house (they needed to come through the house to get to the atrium) and totally cleaned up after themselves. A Doctors exam with a happy ending. I am a spa. My stucco has been a flaky, itchy bubbly mess! It was embarrassing to have friends comment as they got in me for a soak. The diagnosis was made and surgery scheduled for the next day. After preparing the site with tarps and masking tape, a large scraper was used to remove my unsightly coating. Special fillers and adhesives were applied to my scarred surface and expertly smoothed. I was allowed to dry overnight and prepare for tomorrow's procedure. It was time to repaint my house (over 15 years since the last time) with tons of cracks, flaked paint and bubbles, and just generally horrible shape. Absolutely needed to get the stucco repaired first. Steve, the business owner, was able to visit me promptly several weeks ago to look the job over. I found him to be extremely professional and easy to talk to, but was surprised by his level of candor. There were some things he could help with, but others he told me will recur because of structural design issues - and he told me that some things I wanted to be done would probably be a waste of my money. It was also like he was talking me out of spending the money, because he just wasn't going to blow smoke to make a sale. Fortunately, I resolved to use his company for the many cracks and bruises my west facing two story home had accumulated while following his advice about what he couldn't fix for the longer term. And, I wanted it done fast and before the heat began in earnest. He was able to schedule me in with 2 weeks notice and his workers just finished over a week of work here. These guys were so professional and polite. And worked their butts off. Just outstanding workmanship. I'd give them 10 stars if I could. I tipped the workers because I was so impressed, and actually grateful. I am a 60 something year old divorce attorney with a pony tail. I'd become pessimistic about the 'youngers' - you know, world going to crap, blah blah. Steve and his workers are just top notch. Had whole house re-pipe done, I was responsible for stucco and dry wall repair. Contacted Stucco Dr, sent several pics of repair area to Steve he sent me a quote that I was happy with and put me on the schedule. Repair was scheduled for the 27 of May it was repaired on the 28th. Anthony the plaster did a good job overall and a great job with texture match the repair will be painted but he got the color really close. We had a long crack in or stucco wall. Steve came out and quoted a reasonable price for the repair. A few days later, Andy arrived to do the repair. He protected the area around where he was working and cleaned up afterwards. The repair itself was excellent. They were not good at matching the color because their hurried mixing methods changed with each batch of stucco. Consequently, my home is patchy - correct color here, incorrect color there. I had a lot of broken Styrofoam trim around doors, small holes and several cracks in the walls that needed repairing prior to repainting the house. There aren't many stucco contractors so I took a chance on Stucco Dr. even though they had limited reviews. Steve the owner came out to the house and was on-time...as a matter of fact, he called the same day to reconfirm. Steve explained the process and also mentioned he was third generation in his family of Stucco Dr. He walked the property and noted all of the cracks and broken edges and holes in the stucco trim. His bid price was not cheap, but not expensive either. I considered what he was going to do as being fair and shook on the deal. His men showed up on time and went straight to work. They knew exactly what they were doing. and all of the imperfections from weed eaters, weather, and time were quickly addressed. As well as gluing cracks and squaring broken edges of Styrofoam, all work was secondarily troweled to match the initial pattern of the stucco. Johnny and Lee were top notch. Hard workers, cleaned up everything and knew their craft. There are many houses on the market right now that I notice have the same broken pieces on the garage door edges that you notice when driving by. I'd recommend any seller or realtor to invest a few hundred dollars for maximum bang for the buck. When our house is painted it will look brand new. You can count on this review as genuine.
