Stuart Rose was by far the most affordable and even though it was getting to be summer and probably one of their busiest times, I had my installation scheduled within 3 days of signing my proposal (in late April- early May 2018). Long story short, they took my "consultation" fee and never fixed the issue with my AC unit. They supposedly ordered parts and were going to contact me for the repair when they came in. But I guess if you can take the consulting fee and not do the work, it's much easier. I wouldn't trust these guys for any repairs or consulting. Stuart Rose came to our rescue in a desperate situation. We were in dire straits after a prior contractor botched the installation of the air conditioning ductwork in our new home. More than 15 failed "adjustments" later, we were exhausted, irate, and suffering through a scorching summer of record heatwaves, without any means to escape. Taking matters into our own hands, we contacted several HVAC specialists, each of which, literally refused to touch what they called a "hack" job.  Mercifully, a kind soul recommended Stuart Rose. Bo and his crew were quick to respond. They were professional and compassionate after seeing that we'd been stuck in a sauna for months with young children during COVID quarantine. They came out, diagnosed the problems, and identified viable solutions without having to tear down all our walls again (as was indicated by each of the prior HVAC specialists). After seven years of totally satisfactory service my home AC, I walked into their front door to discuss a bid on new construction AC for a 4,000 sq ft industrial application. Tom was a gentleman and seemed knowledgable and we got along fine. Tom told me I needed to talk to Bo so I called a day later. Bo seemed to be having a psychological crisis and he hanged up on me. I thought that were was some misunderstanding so when I went by Trader Joe's a couple of hours later, I stopped back in. Ever meet someone who's behavior screams that they need a 5150? (72 hour psychiatric hold) Well, Bo was so outrageously obnoxious that I thought he was kidding so I became very polite and deferential. Bo was such a profane asshole that I had to either apologies to the lady at the front desk for intruding or physically beat The shit out of Bo. So I ran away rather than commit a felony. I've used Stuart Rose many times through the years and I have always found their service to be first rate and the prices are reasonable. I'm a customer for life and have been since the 1980s. Recently, I had service done on two different rental properties. Both servicemen, Mark and Hector, were amazing! Mark got an old unit back to working condition, and Hector troubled shooted another unit and explained some important details about the system. I'm so grateful for quality service people and honest work with no up-selling. Although, I am signing up for their maintenance service as it's so worth the $149 a year cost to keep these older units running smooth--20 years and counting!
