Decided that sounded a bit off for a Subaru Forester with 5 years and only 66k miles on it, and no evidence to me that I'd ever had a leak, so I brought it to Charlie. He did a really thorough diagnostic workup, found it was a PCV valve, and replaced just that, saving me thousands. They're also kind, personable, communicative, and realistic about when they can get work done and they then meet those promises. I assume it was a fluke so I drove on toward home As I was driving, I noticed that all sorts of messages started to flash but did not seem to impair the travel of the truck. When I got home I called and left a message for Brad, the serivce writer who took my truck in. No return call. I called back an hour or so later and still no return call. It's now the following day and I still haven't heard from the dealership. Pretty bad service from Capital Ford Hillsborough.

The worst part about our experience with Accurate is that they did not listen to what we were asking them to repair. We understand that mechanics have to get their own diagnostics but we took it to the dealership AND another reputable service center and both places gave us the same reading (many repair shops including dealer won't work on transmissions). Accurate decided to do what they wanted, most likely to save $$ on their end. Then William, who takes the calls, got an attitude with me after Accurate had our car for 2 months, when I asked when we could expect our car back. I will say, Accurate ended up paying for our rental car which was a huge help after paying $3k to get our transmission fixed. I will keep you posted on our cars progress as we've had it for about 3 weeks now and all is well.

Unfortunately it is an issue that requires the Dealer (computer problem), but the guys coached me through the problem and what to say to the Dealer. Yesterday I stopped by Jiffy Lube because they had forgotten to reset my oil light after my last…read moreoil change. While I was there I mentioned I had smelled a burning rubber smell recently so asked them to check it. They said it looked like my transmission was leaking so they referred me to Cottman's. I didn't know they normally require appointments so I just went in yesterday afternoon and explained the situation to the woman at the front desk. The owner was in the back and heard what I said and told her I needed to be moved to the front of the line. If I truly had a leak it was extremely flammable so he wanted them to immediately check it instead of sending me away to come back later because there was a chance my car could catch on fire and he didn't want to risk that happening. A mechanic immediately came and checked my car. After their inspection they said I had a few oil leaks, it wasn't my transmission and I could drive it without risk of it catching on fire. They referred me to the mechanic next door since they don't fix oil leaks there. While I didn't end up getting anything done, I really appreciated their sense of urgency and concern. The inspection they did was free which was nice. If I have any transmission issues in the future (which fingers crossed I don't) I would absolutely come back here.

I finally found a car here at Charles Boyd Chevrolet, I asked a bunch of questions, got pictures, video, history, and decided to purchase, CAME TO A PRICE with their salesman Parker. I advised him I would be there the next morning. I live over 2 hours away from this dealership and you do not drive 4 hours total for a look see, the decision is made. I had to make arrangements for a car service in the morning as well as pet sitting and picking up a certified bank check for the amount discussed out of my bank account. Lives disrupted. Within a few hours I get a text so sorry the car's been sold, would I consider an alternate vehicle? As if I would continue to do business with them? why so they can do it again? I was supposed to be there in the morning!?! What kind of people does this dealership hire and how do they sleep at night? It's a shame underhandedness still surprises me, I hope they made a buck seems they made a sale but they certainly lost a customer and I will let anyone who cares about shopping with these people know. Hugely disappointed.
