Very picky about the type of beers I drink and each one I tried was great. I had the Java Stout, Caramel Apple StruggleTart, Blueberry Muffin StruggleStout, and Pecan Pie StruggleStout, not pictured: Mango Habanero Cream Ale. Also the staff is greater. They will take awesome care of you. I highly recommend if you're looking for an adventure with beer.

Great brewery with delicious beer on tap! We especially liked the Red Headed Stranger Amber and the Gose with their Michelada mix!! They have a food truck outside, too, with lots of seating in and out. The locals are so friendly and helpful!

First of all, I want to apologize because I don't remember her name. She had long brown hair with bangs. She offered us excellent customer service and made sure we were taken care of during our visit. The flights were good! My husband enjoyed his as well. The pickle beer with michelada sauce was my favorite. Looking forward to visiting again when we are in town.

I wish we could have just sat and worked through their whole menu... we'll definitely be back next time to sample more. On this first go-round we had the meatball apps and boudain eggrolls. The meatballs were very tender and well seasoned. You only get theee per order but they are a nice size, not tiny. The eggrolls were delish and paired wonderfully with the mustard dipping sauce, but I thought they could use a boost of spice in the boudain - between the fried wrappers and the mustard, the nuanced flavors of the boudain itself gets a bit lost. Still excellent. For the beer we opted for No One Asked, which is described as a brown ale but drinks more like a porter and was a nice choice with all of the apps and pizza. We settled on the Meat Machine for a shareable pizza but I would have also loved to try the Gochu-Gang and the Herbed Ricotta, but they all sound creative and tasty... so many options, so little time! If you haven't been here yet - DO IT!

It's a super awesome setup with ample parking and great walk up. We had premade reservations via Open Table. They aren't required but we did just in case they were busy. Our server was Megan, who made great recommendations and was super helpful. (Ask for her!) Anywho... We ordered Parmesan crusted fries to start with me having the Barrel and Bough for a starter drink, and Honey had a Lake front Lager. He described it as being light and delicious. The Barrel and Bough was chefs kiss... a welcome spin on my favorite Old Fashioned. He ordered the I-10 Smash Burger with a truffle Fries, and I went for the chicken and sausage gumbo, with a side of brown butter mashed potatoes. The meal was excellent. Honey wasn't super impressed with the smash burger, but it was great presentation with good flavor. I, however, devoured my gumbo. It was the perfect blend with spice but a hint of sweet. Reminded me of my mother's gumbo and that's hard to beat!!!! We finished the meal with a cup of coffee. We got cans of Fruit Stand blend to go, and we loved it. We will for sure be back for more trips to enjoy their delish faire of foods. It is seafood heavy but there are options for vegans and burgers available as well. Overall... chefs kiss and a salute to the chef!

While looking for a backup, I came across this place. I was surprised to find that they provided a variation of counter service instead of table service. We ordered at the counter, received a number and the staff later brought the food to us. However, with the beer, we ordered at a different counter and brought it back to the table ourselves. This was a while back, so I'm not sure if things have changed since then. Seating was available indoors (2 levels) and outdoors, complete with live music. We ordered the eagle wings & fries, margherita pizza and pretzels & beer cheese. The chicken wings were dry and the pizza crust was less than desirable. The pretzels were salty, but better once the salt was dusted off. The beer cheese was interesting but not my favorite. Overall, I didn't care for the food. The atmosphere was lively, but I wouldn't return just for that. There's 26 photos that should post with this review.

You just don't see that often and I wanted to try it. The stars aligned and my family and I met up here for a weeknight dinner. Alvin is the true definition of a small town. It is just south of Pearland and life moves a little slower out here. Atleast for time being as it is becoming more developed now. The building itself is old and full of character. Everyone seemed to know each other. The staff was very welcoming and friendly, but service was a tad bit slow at times. My family isn't a big drinking family so we stuck with water and sodas, but they have quite a nice bar program here. They have a really impressive beer selection, a long list of specialty cocktails and lots of wine to choose from. I'm definitely coming back to check that out without the fam. For appetizers, we got an order of the scotch eggs and the Bavarian pretzel sticks. This was my first introduction to scotch eggs and a wonderful one at that. You really can't go wrong with anything wrapped in sausage and deep friend. It was a nice treat and something I will not be sharing next time. The pretzels were also very good. Our waitress suggested some cheese sauce to accompany those. These sticks of goodness were excellent. For my entree, I was stuck on a few items as their menu is pretty extensive. Our waitress said my option for the Pork Milanesa was the way to go, so I did. I've had milanesa at Mexican restaurants, but never in a tavern nor prepared this way. This was hand battered in panko and then topped with a mushroom gravy. It comes with broccoli and mashed potatoes but I substituted the veggie for mac and cheese. This dish was very good and the portions were very generous. Enough for me to have a full second meal minus the sides. The pork was thinly pounded and kept it's crunch even doused in gravy. The gravy was rich and very delicious. My family got a mix of items like the philly cheese steak, flat iron steak salad, tavern salad, and chicken fried steak. For research purposes and for my loyal readers, I tried everything. There wasn't anything that was bad to me. We were full so desserts didn't happen on this trip. Overall, Gordon Street Tavern is a solid spot that I would happily return to if in the area.

(Great place, the owners are fantastic, and if you have not been by there, why not? ) Back to the brewery. I was pleasantly surprised by this visit. Perhaps it was because it was after dark, the place was nicely lit, and we sat at the bar. The first time in was in the cold light of day, the place felt like a high school cafeteria and we all turned around and bounced right on out of there. Night time, the cosy lighting, and sitting at the bar with the restaurant (cafeteria feel) behind you is so much better. I found their service lacking for the lack of patrons in the place. Our glasses were empty for far longer than they should have been and we had to wait on our check to leave. The servers did appear to have great conversations with each other at the other end of the bar. Perhaps being more mindful of their customers would be more appropriate. The pluses are the Blueberry Blonde was as good as I remembered and we were introduced to Celtic Cross mead which led to a visit to their meadery. Would I come back? Yes.
