I loved Brews Brothers So much! The most incredible craft burger I've ever had. Beets, goat cheese!!! Yum! I also really appreciated that I could have a side salad without additional charge. The salad was actually incredible as well. Service was friendly. The wait time for the burger was not incredibly quick, but we were enjoying the atmosphere and it was so worth it. They have a great number of beers on tap. I counted 20. They also serve wine and ciders. The inside is a bit dark but it has a NOLA vibe which makes me happy!!!! read more

Service was absolutely horrible. Took an hour for a damn burger and some fries. The workers all look as though they're high. Several people came from the "kitchen" no hair nets, no gloves, and one even came from the back with a beer. STILL NO BURGER!!!!! Finally comes from The back and basically throws the damn plate at my husband. No apologies or anything If you're African American, don't go here. We had such a fun Saturday! It was ArtWalk and downtown was buzzing. After all the art, music (so glad there was so much to hear. We went to Ryan Guidry's show at Bienville Wine Bar), wining, and chatting with friends, we made it to Brews Brothers for our late night bites. Usually we dither a bit about where to dine, but I had seen Brews Brothers' post about their vegetarian curry dish so I insisted and nobody in my party resisted. Because there are chicken wings y'all and they are very tasty fare for those not wanting to take the curry route. Before I say anything further, I have to give loud, enthusiastic applause to the folks here for providing a vegetarian option so packed with flavor. This wasn't an anemic salad or a pretend burger, this was a legit stand-on-its own dish. Overall I was very happy with it, especially because the curry flavor was just as I imagined it would be - rich and delicious, warming but not hot. My only quibble had to do with the amount of potatoes - it was too potato heavy and the potatoes needed just a little more cook time. With udon noodles already present, the spuds over starched and unbalanced the dish. With all that said, I cleaned my bowl. For the wing eaters, everything was a-okay. Brews produces huge, meaty monster wings that completely satisfy. Yay! The only other glitch, for Dan at least, was flat beer. It seems that all his potential choices would not support a head. Since I was enjoying a delightful chardonnay, I was tepidly sympathetic and perhaps not as outraged as I should have been. My niece's beer was properly foamy and she seemed to like it just fine. Dan had a coca-cola! My takeaway: go to Brews Brothers, order the curry and let me know what you think! I make it out to the Strand in Galveston about once a year, usually for a pub crawl. Brews Brothers is always a must stop for my friends and I. Like most places in the area, it is old but full of character. It is pretty large inside with some patio seating out front for people watching. I can always count on them to have the Astros or other sports playing. Customer service is good, no complaints there. What they have here is lots of craft beers, wine, cigars and bar food. The beer selections are always pretty great. Whether you want something light or a heavy stout, they have those and everything in between. I prefer a nice draft, but the can and bottle selection is pretty impressive too. I'm usually on a liquid diet here, but they got food if the hunger hits. It's definitely a must stop if walking the Strand! read more

I've been coming to Brew Bros for many many years. Staff are all great, knowledgeable about their beers, happy to chat about anything. Burger of the month is ever changing and usually awesome. Fresh nugs for the kiddos, and the avocado fries as well as the fried mushrooms always a delight. Beers to go, and a very kind spot to take in Mardi Gras festivities. These reviews are complete lies. The food absolutely sucks and the bathroom actually looked cleaner than the kitchen. Someone wrote "best hotdogs on the island" they were COLD and tasteless. The Big Tex burger was just a big hunk of meat. Couldn't even taste the bbq sauce that was supposed to come on it. But maybe my senses were a little off from the people lighting up cigarettes literally at the table next to us. Now the fries were actually good I have to say, along with the bartenders, they were nice. The server/ food runner (not sure which term to use since everything is get it yourself) lacked spatial awareness and almost ran into me twice. If you are wasted, starving and low on cash then sure stop in for a bite. But overall I won't be back. read more

We had to go up to the bar to order which was a bit annoying, but so be it. They advertise having the most extensive beer list in town. It was quite varied. Sadly we did not get to try the food. Saturday morning we visited them right at 11:00 am. There was no sign of life and no sign (that I saw) with hours on it. Stopped in to brews bros for a burger and brew. The place looked like it used to be a brewery, but the tanks weren't hooked up anymore. There were tables and chairs randomly pushed around the space. We went up to the bar to order beer, and there was an extensive tap wall. We were satisfied. Ordered the beer and they brought it to our table, which was nice. Ordered burgers and fries. Surprisingly good, especially considering the whole place smelled like incense--not burgers and fries. I don't know what to say about this place. Food was good while hot. Good variety of beers. No frills place, they have a few outside tables and they allow smoking inside. Lots of beers to choose from. Brews Brothers is a casual brewery with a small patio out front and some table top seating and seating at the bar inside. They have several TVs and The Olympics were on while I was there. I started off with a beer (naturally) and was impressed with their beer selection. They have a lot to choose from including a ton of beers you don't typically find at a bar. I've been here several times for a glass of wine. They have a white similar to a Sauvignon Blanc I like. I'm not a big beer drinker but this is the place go if you are! Local, exotics, sours...their hamburgers are amazing. Homemade like your momma made for you but with some pizzazz. We've had the breakfast tacos, too, which are excellent. Yesterday I tried the fried avocado. Oh. My. Stars! One whir avocado, lightly battered and quickly fried. The result is creamy and crunchy all at once. With their buttermilk ranch dipping sauce! The chicken burger I had was delicious. It was their special of the day and included the greasiest, best french fries one could ask for. They also have a very wide selection of beer, as to be expected with the name "Brews Brothers" We went on a Tuesday night, which seemed to be guitar open mic night. I LOVED this, but I also wish we knew ahead of time. I was with a couple of friends who wanted to catch up since it had been months since we were able to hang out, but we felt bad talking during the performances. Most of the people who were there (it was around 7:00 PM) were focused on the musicians, so it made it hard to really be able to chat. I wouldn't choose it again if I was intending to "catch up" with friends. Overall, cute place. So I ordered a burger no Mayo. After waiting almost 25 minutes for my burger of course it had Mayo on it. After not eating all day I scraped most off and ate it. The beer I ordered was not the beer I ordered but the bartender didn't tell me until I got my check. I still love their food but they seem to have an ongoing staffing problem. As a wig and brew lover, I was recommend Brews Brothers while on an historic island tour of Galveston by the tour guide because they apparently have the BEST WINGS IN TOWN so we headed on over. We walk in around 6:30PM on a Sunday and it wasn't the least bit crowded, but the tables were a mess and there seemed to only be one bar tender and waitress. We headed to the bar but we never acknowledged us and we never received service. We never got to try the wings the tour guide recommended and I don't think we will be coming back either. read more

The atmosphere and location were awesome. Nestled into the historic Strand district this taproom had lots to offer. Although they don not brew their own beer, they do have plenty of great beer available, including some local brews. I had a delicious mead and a great double IPA, my wife enjoyed her amber ale. My family of seven and I darkened this pub's doors. We had come across it online and saw its highly recommended burgers and ultimately tried it. As one would expect of a pub ,it was dark and we ordered everything at the bar. With its calm atmosphere inside, my (sometime loud) family was able to find shaded seating out front. The food was amazing. My wife enjoyed the Mission from God burger and I had the Notorious PIG, both of which we highly recommend. Fries were crunchy and not as thick as normal steak fries but they made them very well.
