Massage: The person who made my appointment asked about my preferences and booked my appointment accordingly. When I forgot about my appointment, they called and let me come anyway. I had Min and she was excellent. 5 stars for Massage. Facial: I would not recommend the facial. I paid $70 for an aesthetician with poor skills. No mention of my skin, no explanation of which sort of products she was using. No cues on what was coming next - she was completely silent unless I asked a direct question. Extremely poor massage skills. There were large stretches of time where absolutely nothing was happening - no product use, no mixing going on, no nothing except me just laying there. I was very disappointed. When I mentioned it to front desk staff on checkout the woman said she was sorry I did not like the service but that everyone has a different "style". My second expierence was coming in for a manicure and the person could not do french tips, I have never encountered that before because it seems like a very basic "design". My third and final experience was recently when I was given a gift card for a mani/pedi/massage and I was not interested in the massage as I do not like them, but it was a gift, so I asked if I could use the remainer of the balance after covering the mani/pedi on a different service and they said no. So that is why I am leaving this review because that is poor customer service. I have not left a bad review prior even with my bad experiences because the staff has always been SO nice. But this time it was not a great experience due to customer service. Additionally, my GEL manicure started chipping in TWO days, whereas I have gone other places where it has lasted me 4 weeks. So I believe they are either not training their staff well, or they don't use quality products. Which for how expensive it is there, they should be doing both of those things. I have gotten rashes on my underarms after being waxed, so it may not be ideal for those with sensitive skin (though no issue when getting a brazilian); the aesthetician is pleasant and does quick work. All in all, Serenity is a great spot to go and pamper yourself; with an expansive amount of services offered, it's a one stop shop. Staff is incredibly friendly and I like that they have a little drink bar and boutique mixed in with everything. However, be warned: you will drop some pretty pennies here, as it is a very pricey place, especially given the cost of living in the Saginaw area. I don't love the full length mirrors because who wants to look at that much of themselves for 20 minutes with their hair covered in color and piled on top of their head? But that's probably a weird thing to complain about. Most importantly, they have great stylists (shout out to Christina J). Everyone is exceedingly complimentary without sounding fake and I always leave feeling great. I did have an issue one time with not loving my color, and it was corrected and remedied ASAP -- I didn't even really have to say anything or ask, which is nice. It can be uncomfortable to complain if you don't love your style, so I appreciate that my stylist could just tell I didn't love it.

Over three inches were taken off and the stylist didn't blend anything, giving me extremely choppy uneven hair. The receptionist said they would refund me, but after three days they decided they were not going to do that, whilst insinuating I was not telling the truth about the haircut. I offered to send them pictures, they declined. 65$ haircut not including tip, and now I will have to pay even more money somewhere else to fix it.
