Nugget Markets is basically the bougiest grocery store chain in the greater Sacramento area…read more All of the packaged deli foods perpetually look like they were chopped within the past thirty minutes, the bakery section looks like an actual high end European bakery, the floors are clean enough to eat off of, and the associates all seem happy with their jobs. This particular Nugget has a fairly large upstairs patio area with tables, chairs, restrooms, water bottle refilling station, microwave, etc. Lots of grocery stores in this area have a downstairs lounge area, but being upstairs (but still accessible via a ramp and elevators) gives it an extra edge. Plus you can't beat that view of the Mercedes dealership. The salad selection is some of the best I've seen anywhere, although they are very pricey at about $10/8oz (which is why I haven't actually tried one). I came here in search of some tampons that I couldn't find at Target, and was thrilled that this store carried small boxes of single sizes, versus the huge multipacks they had at Target. Thank you Nugget for doing a better job at procuring feminine health items than Target. As a bonus this store (like many others) is within walking distance of the wetland preserve.

Luis was working in the vegetable department and still went to get what I needed. Outstanding and appreciate the customer service from Luis. I came here today as I was running some other errands in this shopping center and only had 2 items that I needed to make dinner. Parking is pretty easy. They are in a shared lot with the other shops in the strip mall. I found a nice spot in the shade in front of the auto store. If you are a regular shopper at Target then this is a very convenient store for you and for those that live in the area. When I first arrived I was looking for zucchini and it was easy to find as the produce department is soon as you walk in the store. Check out was quick. There was only one customer before me, but boy were they chatty. I had to go back as when I got back to the car I realized I forgot the cream cheese. Being low on time I went directly to the customer service desk and asked where I could find the cream cheese to the 4 employees that were there. They were really friendly and offered to walk me to the cream cheese. That was really sweet of them, they could have just pointed me in the right direction and given me the isle number. She walked me all the way up to the cream cheese and also explained the layout of the store for further purchases. There were 3 brands of cream cheese. I bought the house brand as it was over $1 cheaper then the mid brand and $3 cheaper then the high end brand. With the help of the staff of Nugget I was able to get my groceries in time and I still had enough time to run my other errands before I had to be at my appointment. Yea for great customer service. Dinner was a success. Creamy Chicken and Zucchini casserole. The cream cheese made it so creamy and the zucchini made it so healthy, filled with over 4 cups of veggies.

I remember visiting Fork Lift like 10 years ago and really liking it - it is a sister store of Nugget Market I believe. The inside was massive, clean and well organized. My husband and I wanted to buy one of everything! Their produce section had every fruit and vegetable imaginable - it was also very visually aesthetically pleasing! I loved seeing their bulk spices, nuts, teas and candy options! Their butcher shop and fish section looked very fresh and can we talk about their massive cheese selections!? I was very impressed and they even had my favorite coffee for sale which is hard to find - the Blue Bottle Nola milk cartons. Overall, this would be my grocer of choice if we lived in the area - check out staff was also very friendly! Check them out!

Brought to you by the family-owned, upscale and very successful, Nugget chain of grocery stores. I became very well acquainted with the Nugget markets living in Davis. There were two stores not far from each other and they were always packed. I shopped at the smaller one as it was closer to my home. It is literally the only place I ever shopped for food.I cannot imagine shopping anywhere else. When I moved to El Dorado Hills 5 years ago... thank goodness there was a big and beautiful Nugget a mile and half away. My point is all Nugget markets are quite incredible. Nothing compares to them. Excellent quality, in-house prepared food, bakery... TDF, floral, meat department, liquor, and fabulous fresh produce section. Fork Lift is to me like the Nugget markets on steroids! I was astonished at the size of the store and cool inside architectural design. Yes it is hip! Super clean, well stocked in everything. Organized. Quite impressive. And the same great departments as I mentioned above that are available in the Nugget stores are right here too! The chatter is that the Fork Lift offers many discounted prices but honestly, I never see them. Then I heard the lower priced items are strategically placed in and around the store. Who knows. I enjoy taking the drive up the hill to Cameron Park occasionally just to wander around and marvel at this shopping mecca! Easy exit off the freeway and fast to find. Plenty of parking. Worth checking out if you are in the area or on the way to or returning from Tahoe. Did I mention super duper customer service!?! And weekly specials! Geez... a girl cannot remember everything.:) Here is to good eating!

I've been here before it's been a couple of years, but I will say that the experience did not disappoint at all. I will say the customer service is much better at this location than what I experienced at the Arden Way location. Even if I didn't have to come pick up a package in this area, it will still worth the 35 minute drive from my house to come to this location. My cashier Brooke was super friendly and very helpful and answered my question about a specific inquiry. She thoroughly explained that there was an update and entering my phone number for my prime benefits, may not work, and I most likely would need to use the Amazon app scan code option to receive my prime discount. She even went above and beyond to give me further instructions regarding that. I truly appreciated her being so helpful, so patient and displaying such great customer service. My whole visit today was super pleasant. I purchased the artesian sandwich was delicious by the way. I was sad about one thing, though, my salad the sesame cucumber noodle salad was all sold out, but I understand why as Brooke even explained it is one of the most popular salads and does go pretty quick. I still will come back because the experience alone was just that great.

I already had lunch earlier in the day at the Burger Lounge, and not in the mood for ice cream or gelato. With the limited snack type eateries in the Fountains, I meandered over to Whole Foods grocery store. The store was clean and had a current look. The self serve salad bar, soup bar, and deli had an impressive variety. Lots to choose from. Hubs went for a pepperoni slice. Pizzas are wood fired, thin crust. The pizza slices are self serve. Priced about $5. I wasn't in the mood for pizza so I walked about the self serve hot deli, looping several times trying to decide. I ended up with some lemon rice, veggie coconut curry, brocilli, and a roasted boneless chicken thigh. I had no clue how much my box weighed or costed. But beware, it can quickly add up in cost since it's priced by weight. After you scoop, no take-see backs sees. I took a bite of hubs pizza. It was not that great. Not awful either. The crust was tough and dried out. Probably been sitting for a bit under the heat lamp. I can imagine it would taste way better fresh n hot. The curry was fantastic. Smelled terrific, tasted really good. The rice was fluffy. The brocilli had a perfect tenderness, kinda impressed with that for deli food. The chicken was good (not great) but pretty decent for deli cooked chicken. We ate outside at the tables. But boy did they need some attention. The floor and tables were dirty with food remnants and bird droppings. Kinda have to contribute a large part of the state of disarray to the sloppy customers. The area was utilitarian in looks unlike the Whole Food in Folsom.
