This isn't the same staff and doctor I was sent to as a kid. I mean he is, but his whole demeanor is better, as is his staff, in particular his newest addition Cassady! He fired the rest of his old staff with the exception of I believe one, because she wasn't reportedly rude like previous patient experiences dictated. I like him as a person now AND dentist, plus he's got general dentistry and periodontist work in the same office so it's like getting two for one. read more

I would highly recommend finding another periodontist. I had extensive crown work performed here. The crown work was excellent, but they failed to clean the glue used to affix the crowns off my roots, which caused severe infection. They were preoccupied with the business side and not the care side of their practice. I've switched periodontist and am now very satisffied with my new doctor. read more

I started seeing Dr. Strout many years ago. For years, he seemed to be a competent, pleasant professional. I don't know what changed him. He mentioned he had some quality of care issue with the Board of Dentistry, and that may have affected him. Anyway, lately, he has been nasty, rude and worst of all I question his ethics. He started a large (very expensive) project on me without proper informed consent. I changed to a different practice and am very relieved. I would definitely recommend that anyone needing periodontal work seek a different practice. There are plenty of good periodontists. My recommendation is to avoid Dr. Strout. read more

I dont think Dr Strout exists. his name is used but the office is a scam operation to take advantage of senior citizens. Everyone that comes in is told they are in desperate need of a "deep cleaning" but you wallets is the objective. The free cleanings advertised are never provided. After your copay and insurance are used up you pay again before leaving. Then a new bill is generated and your cleaning is only half done. read more

Dr Strout is a great dentist. However, his business and management sense is severity lacking. Dr Strout has three locations. He changes his business name so often that I have no idea what the Saint Augustine location is called. I have relied on Dr Strout for my dental care for almost TWELVE years now! I usually have my teeth cleaned every four months. Several years ago, Dr Strout fired and replaced much of his business and support staff. Last July, a day prior to my scheduled appointment, I received a Text Message indicating that my appointment was canceled and I would be contacted once they could reschedule me. Well it's almost a year and they have yet to schedule a cleaning/cheque-up. In addition, I have learned that they fired my hygienist I've contacted the office several times wanting to know if they were still operating and whether or not my files would be available to a new dentist (could you recommend someone?) They agreed to e-mail my files to me. My file consisted of a single X-ray! Obviously, they don't want me as a patient anymore and they don't want another dentist to provide professional services either! read more

If I could give it a minus 10 I would. Totally rude office staff. Spent over $1000 and he wants to charge me for a consult....Ridiculous. They are a money making machine and don't recommend them. read more

Took my kids for consults about getting their wisdom pulled. Waited forever (60 min) in a room listening to the doctor discuss his investments with another patient. Someone on his staff finally came and got him. I didn't listen to my gut and allowed one of my sons to get two wisdom teeth pulled. While we were in the waiting room (at his wisdom teeth extraction appt) another pt came out angry due to not being seen and waiting in the chair too long-he left angry and mad. Then they called our incorrect kid back which was very unsettling and acted like it wasn't a big deal. They didn't give my son the medicine before the the procedure as they indicated they would. The doctor broke one tooth next to the wisdom tooth being pulled and broke a filling on the other wisdom tooth he pulled. He only disclosed the broken filling. This office is a mess and shows zero empathy whatsoever. We had to go to our dentist to have all of the repair work completed from Dr. Strout's mishaps. I've worked in the medical field for over 20+ years and hate leaving any medical professional a negative review. Everyone is human and not perfect however, this experience was so terrible I wanted to provide feedback. read more
