Despite following their process correctly, I was still charged monthly from September 2025 through April 2026. When I contacted them, management confirmed in writing that my membership had, in fact, been canceled back in August. So they were clearly aware my account was closed, yet instead of contacting me about any supposed issue, they continued billing me month after month. I was then told the charges were for personal training, which I reasonably believed had been canceled along with my membership. Again, I canceled IN PERSON with their staff. There's no reasonable explanation for canceling a membership while leaving other services active without clearly disclosing that at the time of cancellation. Even after all of this was acknowledged, the personal training manager refused to refund the $930 that was charged after my cancellation. This is completely unacceptable. I followed their cancellation policy, and they continued taking money from my account anyway. It feels like a tactic to keep charging customers under the guise of a separate personal training contract, rather than clearly canceling everything at the time of membership termination. Based on my experience, I would not recommend joining Crunch Fitness.

The instructors are always nice and motivating during my classes. They never make you feel like you're not doing enough in the class. Everyone is welcoming! They opened in the middle of the pandemic, but that really has not stopped their growth of clientele. I'll start with safety. Everyone is spaced out and has their own machines and dumbbells to use. They do a cleaning after each class and you have to wear your mask to move about the class or be in any other space of the building. I have always felt very safe while in there and I am one who is definitely paranoid about the virus. Now, moving on to the workouts. It's basically a high intensity work out for an hour. You spend 15 minute increments on the floor with weights and on the treadmill- two times for each. No class is the same and no instructor is the same. I love that because you're getting a different experience every time you walk in the door. Your body will constantly be challenged because of this also. I will say that each instructor is very motivating and great at pushing you to be your best you inside and outside of the classroom. None of that "earn what you eat" mess. That's the number one thing that keeps me coming back. I've been to a lot of other gyms in the city and this one takes the cake. Check them out!

Both are close but I chose this place because the commute has less traffic, the clientele is laid back, the availability of the machines (even at peak times) and great management. They spend exorbitant amounts of time on machines while listlessly staring at their phones without a single care for others. Well, I wanna get my workout in and get out, not wait on a social media addict to waste my time. Anytime Fitness has now become that place that's anything BUT Planet Fitness. This location may be small, but it has everything my lady and I need, and doesn't have the disrespectful clientele. One price ($34 a month) gets you access to all locations, plus an annual fee of $25, so a little more than PF, but I'll pay it for the advantage of being able get my workouts in on my terms instead of someone else's. Tired of Planet egos? Head to Anytime Fitness. Get your gains on!

I'm a huge fan of the CONTROL class it's an insane workout and I left feeling like I got my butt kicked in the best possible way. I first heard about SOS from a few folks when I worked at L Brands. They had a few loyal customers with whom I worked. To be honest, I was a little intimidated when I'd see these folks post about their workouts on social media. I had thought about trying it circa 2017, but was too intimidated (my loss!). But in 2019, I ended up with a stress fracture while marathon training. I was able to barely finish my training for the NYC Marathon, which I did successfully complete in November 2019. But at that point, it was evident that I couldn't just keep running marathons without incorporating strength training into my routine. So in Christmas Week 2019, I started with the 7 class starter pack just to try it out. I even joined Team Tread (their half & full marathon training program)in their Columbus location in January to start training for the Nashville Half in April 2020. Unfortunately for me, my SOS morning routines were abruptly halted in March 2020. But luckily, my team tread registration got me into the "digital studio" which I had no idea what it was at the time. I very quickly uncovered that it's all the same studio instructors and they have recorded classes with new uploads almost daily as well as a huge library of online classes (which as you can imagine has only grown in the past 5 years). I did what everyone else was doing and immediately ordered as many dumbbells, resistance bands, and other equipment to build up a "home SOS studio" and my equipment has been growing ever since. I moved to Arizona in summer 2021, and have continued to be a dedicated Digital Studio user and advocate. Whenever I come home to Ohio (whether Cbus or Cincy), I get giddy at the thought of going to classes in person and it's a treat to choose which classes I'll take and with which instructors. I can honestly say SOS Digital Studio has helped me get in the best shape of my life. I feel like I personally know all of the trainers (I don't have social media anymore, but when I did, I followed all of them, so again, felt like I kew them personally). When I was in Hawaii for my wedding, SO many people were asking me about my arms and complimenting me. I kept trying to tell them about the DS and how special SOS is. I will always be a dedicated and loyal fan. It's become such a part of my routine that I'm on Christmas Break now with my husband in Kansas (where he's from) and I've brought my ankle weights, light weights and loop bands just so I can get some classes in. Thank you, Gretchen and team for helping me be the best version of myself every day! Can't imagine what I'd do without the DS and my SOS training crew! (Only word of advice to newbies- the System DOES work! Don't skip out on any classes. As you can imagine, being a marathon runner, I favored all of the cardio classes. But it wasn't until I really started incorporating High & Tight as I prepared for my wedding that I noticed the chiseled arms that I'd always wanted. It's a well-rounded program that works wonders as long as you incorporate ALL of the classes). Particularly about the Cincy location, I love the rooms they have (1 dedicated to The Course, 1 for Ebb and High & Tight and another for In The Mix and Control). You can tell it was built after the Columbus locations! I also have only been here about 7 times total (since I'm more from the Columbus area). But both instructors Tyler and Emma have remembered me. Emma is for sure my favorite instructor. I was super spoiled this past Thanksgiving and had her for three straight days of classes! Oh how I wished I lived closer!

Let me tell you -- PF Oakley hits different. The moment you walk in, the space feels bright, fresh,…read moreand alive. Everything from the lighting to the layout gives that "let's get it done" energy. The equipment? All in great shape -- smooth, ready, and clearly cared for. You can tell this location takes pride in keeping things sharp, clean, and organized. I'm visiting from NY and staying on the other side of town right now, so my go-to gym (PF Finneytown) -- where I stay with family -- is a bit of a drive. I figured I'd give Oakley a try since it's just a few minutes away... and I'm so glad I did. I actually stopped by on a Saturday night around 9:45 p.m. just to get a lay of the land before my first full workout the next morning. The young woman at the front desk didn't just wave hello -- she offered to give me a tour. She had such a positive spirit, high energy, and genuine kindness. She walked me through the whole place, upstairs and down, and made me feel completely welcomed before I even picked up a weight. That kind of energy leaves a lasting impression. And honestly, that's what makes PF Oakley stand out -- the vibe. A few team members really go above and beyond to make people feel seen and supported. There's a great foundation here -- the energy of the space itself, the layout, the music, the atmosphere -- it all just works. You come in ready to lift and leave lifted. Finneytown will always be my OG home base -- that's where my fitness journey started, and it's got that raw, family-style gym soul I crave every time I'm back in Cincinnati (and even when I'm in NY). But Oakley? Oakley is another chapter -- vibrant, modern, and full of the kind of energy that makes you want to push a little harder, hold a rep a little longer, and walk out saying, "Yeah... I did that."
