Truthfully, after meeting her for a tour of the place, that only further solidified our trust in her. Just from her vibes alone, you can tell that she cares so much about your furbaby and their needs. Unlike other boarding services, Cathy greatly prioritizes the comfort and well-being of all the animals that she takes on. My wife and I were going to be traveling out of state for 2 weeks and needed boarding for both our dog and cat. Normally, Cathy specializes with boarding dogs, but she was gracious enough to offer us a room in her home to board our cat. She absolutely did not have to do that, but we are eternally grateful that she did. Our cat basically raised his little dog sister, so they have a very close bond. Cathy even made the arrangements so that they could intermittently spend time together throughout the day and sleep together at night. My wife is especially anxious when it comes to having other people watch our babies, but Cathy alleviated all those concerns. After the meet and greet we were so impressed with her hands-on and attention to everything regarding the pets in her care. She informed us of everything that would be going on while he was there. She put our minds at ease with how Kai was going to be cared for, his activities, and the other friends he would meet. We felt much more at ease with her rather than somewhere else that was more institutional. There was plenty of room for him to roam, play and interact with others but not too many. The grounds are very secure/fenced and maintained. She gave us peace of mind while he was in her care with pictures and videos and updates of his behavior and how he was getting along with others. SO thankful I found Cathy! First, she saved us when we had a family emergency and needed a midday visit on short notice. I have a sassy senior dog with dementia who has previously broken her back and has no sense of self-preservation (she still tries to jump on/off things), and a fairly chill younger rescue that we are still getting to know (and he is terrified of vet offices, groomers, and the like). Both were at ease when she came for a meet & greet before our first formal visit, and we got lots of pics and texts when she came for the visit. When our friends chose to have a destination wedding, I had no idea what we were going to do since my dog walker that I've had for years can't keep dogs at her home (plus the senior dog would break her back jumping on and off the couch), and boarding at the vet would be extremely stressful for both of my dogs. I've always left my dogs with my mom (the one time I did a board & train situation it was an awful experience), but she couldn't take them, so I was super stressed. We ended up boarding them with Cathy and I couldn't be happier. She adjusted her entire setup to make sure the dogs were both happy and safe (made sure the senior couldn't jump on/off of anything), and she did very gradual introductions to other dogs being boarded so that they could get a little social interaction. She was also fully prepared to just rotate everyone out if they hadn't gotten along well. We got multiple text updates and tons of pics and even a video or two every day. They got walks and plenty of outdoor time in her beautiful yard. Cathy is very organized and made sure none of my dog's belongings got mixed up with anyone else's and everything was safely returned (no lost toys/bedding).
