    Willow with Sylvia's friendly cat
    Bao N.

I am so happy to have found Sylvia OC Pet Nurse for Willow's doggie daycare as well as future boarding! Sylvia is professional, kind, caring, & very experienced. After dropping off Willow yesterday for her first daycare day, I left with confidence knowing that Willow was in great hands with Sylvia, her wonderful family, & other pets in the house. From the start, Willow was so excited to play with another dog at Sylvia's daycare, her cat, and her adorable kids! Throughout the day, Sylvia updated me with many pictures & several videos of Willow having such a great time! She has a great open backyard where the dogs can run in the sun & I also love that she takes them on walks several times a day in her neighborhood so that they are not cooped up indoors. Seeing videos & pictures of Willow playing with the other animals in the house as well as with Sylvia's wonderful young children are wonderful because those experiences help greatly with socialization! Sylvia is a true professional & passionate about providing a safe, fun, engaging home environment for her clients' pets. She is very knowledgeable & gave me some great tips with some of my concerns about Willow. She is also a very kind & warm person & made Willow & I feel very welcomed instantly. I also appreciate that she is flexible & shows an openness & willingness to work with her clients & their loved pets. I highly recommend Sylvia OC Pet Nurse & would not hesitate to recommend her to my friends & family! I am very happy that I've found a great home environment for Willow for daycare as well as future boarding.. a safe home that is engaging & where she can play & run outside in an enclosed backyard & where she still can get her daily walks several times a day in the neighborhood. The best part is knowing that she is in great hands with Sylvia & her family!

To sum up Sylvia's service in one word: wonderful!!! I met Sylvia through my community chat group when my puppy was barely 5 months old. I was looking for someone reliable and trustworthy to watch my puppy because a number of dog sitters I had worked with just didn't work out too well. The benefit of having your dog in Sylvia's care: - socialization - exercise and stimulation - and a lot of TLC ** And Sylvia is a trained veterinarian nurse ** My puppy loves Sylvia's two cats (adorable by the way) and her children (adorable that goes without saying). I felt having my puppy spending time in a family with children and pets was very important for her development, and Sylvia's family was perfect. Don't just take my word for it. Check it out for yourself. I trust my puppy in Syliva's care and looks forward to the updates I get. Whether I was away for weeks or just at work, I can relax knowing my puppy in good hands.

I have always been hesitant about leaving my dogs at a boarding facility or with strangers because of all the horror stories. But I had a weekend trip and needed to find someone to watch my husky last minute. I did an extensive search for boarding facilities and I remembered seeing a post on my neighborhood Nextdoor app, and saw someone suggest OC Pet Nurse. After reading her reviews and knowing she was a pet nurse, I knew my dog would be safe with her. I contacted her and she responded right away! On the day of drop off, we were greeted by the lovely Sylvia and was given a tour of the Dogz House. We were also greeted by another dog she was petsitting for. I had great vibes in the home and knew my husky, Koda, would be well taken care of. She asked me to bring some of Koda's items such as his bed and toys so he felt at home. I received daily texts and pictures of Koda and he looked super happy, and knew he was being spoiled! I would definitely recommend Sylvia to anyone!

Sylvia is absolutely incredible. My story with her starts almost a year ago, when Cuppy (my maltipoo puppy) was only 8 weeks old. At the time, my mom and I were looking for a place to have Cuppy stay, because I had JUST adopted him, and we already had booked a family cruise months before. My mom found and reached out to Sylvia, and received the warmest and most amazing advice for care. We ultimately had to keep Cuppy with his vet, because of his vaccination schedule, but I never forgot about Sylvia. Fast forward to now, and my brother was getting married. I had had some bad experiences with Rover, and I remembered Sylvia from all those months ago. Cuppy is now 1 year old, and he had the most WONDERFUL time with Sylvia. She kept me up to date with tons of photos and videos - and I was almost afraid he wouldn't want to come back home, because he was having so much of a blast there! :P Sylvia did such an amazing job that the next time I ever have to leave Cuppy, she will be the ONLY one I contact. HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend her. Not only is she super knowledgable, but she also is so careful and intentional with the way she cares for her dogs.

My 54 lb Jindo does not do well with strangers, she is all bark but no bite. I was very anxious bringing her to any dog care but Wendy was willing to do an assessment prior to their stay. This was my very first time doing any sort of dog care so I was really worried about leaving them. They did really well and my other dog had so much fun (he's a social butterfly). The main reason I chose this place vs all the other dog boarding is because they offer a "home" living experience rather than a facility/warehouse. My dogs always freely roams the house and lays on our bed, couch, wherever they please so I wanted something similar and Wendy's house provided that. I couldn't bare the thought of them being kept in a narrow sleeping quarter locked throughout the day. Thank you for taking great care of my babies! This place will definitely be my go-to for any future dog boarding.

Last year, we brought them frequently and always felt confident leaving them there. The staff was friendly and welcoming, the facility felt clean, and our dogs always seemed happy to be there. That's why it's so disappointing to see how much things have changed since the ownership transition. Since the change in ownership, we've noticed a significant decline in the overall experience. The staff no longer feels as friendly or approachable. While there are still a few kind employees, several team members come across as cold and unhelpful, making drop-off feel uncomfortable and even a bit intimidating. It no longer feels like the warm, welcoming environment it once was. We've also noticed the facility doesn't seem nearly as clean as it used to be. Our dogs consistently come home smelling strongly of urine after daycare. We occasionally check the live cameras throughout the day and frequently see urine sitting on the playroom floors for extended periods before being cleaned up. If messes in the common play areas are left unattended, it raises concerns about how often the kennels are being cleaned when the dogs are resting. Combined with the odor our dogs come home with, it has made us question the overall cleanliness of the facility. Another noticeable change is how little time our dogs now seem to spend in the play areas. We'll pay for a half-day of daycare, and by the time we pick them up, we're lucky if they've spent more than 30 minutes interacting with other dogs. The majority of their visit appears to be spent kenneled. We choose daycare because we want our dogs to have a safe, clean environment where they can socialize and play. If they're spending most of their visit in a kennel, it's difficult to justify paying for daycare when they could be comfortably resting at home in a cleaner environment for free. Customer service has also become frustrating. Recently, one of our dogs came home without his collar. We didn't realize it until we got home, so we called the facility and were told someone would call us back because they were too busy at the moment. We never received a callback. After calling several more times over the next few days without getting an answer, we ultimately had to drive to the facility ourselves just to ask about and retrieve the collar. Pickup has also become much slower than it used to be, often requiring a long wait before our dogs are brought out. We're genuinely disappointed because we loved this location for a long time and trusted the team with our pets. Unfortunately, since the ownership change, we've experienced a noticeable decline in cleanliness, customer service, and the overall level of care. We hope these concerns are taken seriously because we'd love to see this location return to the high standard that made us loyal customers in the first place.

That changed this last time the owners sold the company and the new owners took over, as things have definitely gone downhill, which brings me to this review specifically. This past Thursday, July 2nd, I swung by Paw Sweet Paw on my way home to pick up my dog, since my wife dropped her off for a half day. I told the young lady at the front I was here to pick up Boba, and she said, "I'll be right back with Boba."I waited for 15 minutes for her to return, and when she did, she did not have my dog with her, and she stated something like, "they are in the process of moving the dogs". Some more time goes by, and a manager walks by, and I am livid by this point, and I said, "Where is my flippin dog, although I didn't use flippin. She said, " Please hold on for one minute and she walked away and went upstairs. By this point, it had been a half hour, and not to mention there was another gentleman there to drop off his dog, and he had been waiting 15 minutes. Some more time goes by, and I told the lady at the front that I was walking to the back to get my dog, and you can call whoever you want, but this is BS. When I opened up the gate and was proceeding to walk back, the manager came walking down the steps, and again, I said Where the _ _ _ _ _ _ _ HELL is my dog, to which she replied, I don't know how to tell you this, but WE GAVE YOUR DOG TO THE WRONG PERSON. Needless to say, I lost it, and I said, how the hell is that even POSSIBLE on your end, let alone the person that took my dog home. Who the hell picks up their dog and realizes that this is not my dog and takes it home?????? The Manager said that somehow either she lost her paper collar or someone neglected to read the name on the collar and handed her off to another staff member, and they are the ones that gave her to the wrong owner.....When the new owners of Paw Sweet Paw took over, they implemented this paper tag collar policy, and when you check your dog in, they take the regular collars off of the dog and put a paper collar on the dog. I think it is absolutely ridiculous, but somehow, they believe it's to protect the dogs in case they get in a fight or something, to which I still don't understand. By this point, I cannot even see straight, and I am basically yelling at the Manager as to where my dog is and who the hell is going to get her. She said, "I just spoke to the owner, and I am driving to her house right now to get Boba." The lady that took my dog had two dogs, so as the manager was leaving, I said You might want to go back and get her dog..... She said it would take her about 15 minutes to get to the lady's house and 15 minutes back. Finally, after well over an hour, I got my dog back!!!!!!.. Needless to say, she was extremely anxious and was panting very heavily all the way home, and her heart was racing as well. She finally settled down later that night.....I am not sure what dogs think, but I believe Boba might've been thinking she was being abandoned because she has never been anywhere except Paw Sweet Paw. All in all, I think it was about a 1.5-hour ordeal (nightmare). The Manager said she started 3 weeks ago, apologized profusely, and said she is going to rectify the problem so that it never happens again. She also said that the District Manager would be calling my wife, because by this time, my wife had come down as well. They did call later on that night from a blocked number and left a message with no number to call back. We're still waiting for her to call back. It really sucks because this is the only place we have ever taken Boba, and she actually likes it there cause she is not locked up all day and can play with other dogs. My dog is already anxious, so the idea of finding a new boarding place is less than desirable, but I might have no choice.
