After the cat was gone they have us as much time as we needed to say goodbye. Dr. Guazo had to shave some of his hair off his leg. She gave us the hair in a little square box to keep. A few days later we received a very nice sympathy card in the mail signed by everyone there along with a hand written note. As I said earlier, they were compassionate and caring, and also very sympathetic. I cannot recommend A Cat's Place highly enough.

I got there and was confronted immediately because I just walked in. I wasn't told to wait outside and call because they have a dog who would attack my cats, so it seemed rude. I went into a room to wait and I overheard two women talking about my visit there. The vet was speaking in a very condescending tone saying my cats needed liver & kidney function tests and she wouldn't just hand medicine over to me. She hadn't even met me or the cats yet but her tone was extremely rude. I didn't stay. They shamed me because I didn't have their vet records with me and pretty much called me a liar when I told them they had their last rabies shots in 2021. I even said if they needed another shot, that was fine. I called for a specific need and they weren't going to do that without driving up the fees they were going to charge me and I still wasn't going to get the medication to help ease the cats experience in our car. Worst part was my car is in the shop and I needed to rent a car to get them to the appointment. So all told I spent close to $300 between their upfront fee and car rental and this doctor couldn't care less. Don't go here. They are rude and don't care about helping you in Any way at all.

At 11:37 I called again to see if we could get her in as she was panting and even out of her carrier I couldn't calm her. I was told they were running behind and would get to me shortly. I waited until 11:45, when I called again and was greeted with an attitude upon telling them who I was. I explained I would like to reschedule as we had been waiting so long and my cat was not doing well. The vet, who shouldn't be answering phones or even dealing with people, had an attitude and told me they would get to me when they get to me and if I reschedule, I'd have to pay a cancelation fee. I told her that if I hadn't been waiting over 15 minutes I wouldn't be leaving and hung up. This is the email I got from them and proof of my call logs. Do not go to these people, the Dr is terrible. I was told by my vet tech professor to not go into this line of work if you don't like both people and animals. It's time to retire.

Melanie herself was my sitter, but I understand she has some others who work with or for her depending on location and demand. She came out for a visit to meet everyone a week or so before the trip, and we had a nice talk about what she does when she visits. She scheduled each time slot according to what my pets needed and was very courteous and friendly. While we were away she sent text messages and pictures of my pets to let me know how things were going. She played with the kitten and made sure my older cat was eating and 'around' as well. She was also willing to be on call for an extra visit the day I was coming back, as I was not certain if I would be able to make it home in time for one of the feedings. I would definitely recommend her services.

My fiancee and I had to find pet care on short notice after our long-time pet sitter became unavailable. I found Melanie through internet research and left her a voicemail; she called me back within 10 minutes and answered every initial question and concern we had. We were leaving for a week-long international trip three days later, and Melanie was able to come by for a home visit the following afternoon to meet our cats and get all the details for their care. She also set us up with an app she uses for all her clients that allowed us to add any details we wanted for each of our pets, and which she uses with her staff to have a record for every visit. When Melanie came by the house, I could immediately tell she was an expert with animals after our two German shepherds ran up to her barking and she quickly put them at ease and had their tails wagging. She asked all the right questions about our four cats, whom she would be caring for for the week, and throughly answered all the additional questions that popped up. In addition to feeding our cats and giving them water for the week, Melanie and another member of her staff also cleaned the litter boxes, brought in the mail, and even moved our trash and recycling cans up the driveway so they wouldn't fall in the road. They also sent us photos and updates about our cats, one of whom needs a daily pill due to Addison's disease and can become fatally ill due to stress alone. We didn't worry about our cats once during our trip due to Melanie's fantastic updates and thorough preparation. And when we returned, all of our cats were more relaxed and happy than we've ever seen them after a trip. TL;DR: We'll be recommending Happy Tails to all of our local friends and neighbors and using Melanie's service anytime we need pet care. You can feel confident entrusting your pets and home to Happy Tails.

I was so frantic because I couldn't find the place I had to have left 6 messages. when it looked like no one was home we decided to head home. A little after we got home my cell wrong. it was Tracy! she was the sweetest woman I'd ever talked to! she had the perfect kitty for me and when we saw her I fell in love immediately. Tracy was so kind and went through everything. I even got to meet her Stud muffin who was huge! Then she brought over one of her moms. She was absolutely beautiful!!! The cats were clean their fur shiny! She has a beautiful home that was spotless. I could find one spec of dust. The kitties were all very friendly including my new baby Sabine. We're Disney nuts and we love Star Wars. Sabine crawled right into my arms and snuggled in. she refused to be kept separate so she's already exploring and this morning I went to hunt for her so she could meet my dad and I found her curled up asleep under my dresser. She wasn't used to my overly friendly dog but she wanted to sleep with us. So there she slept. She's been having so much fun cuddling and prancing all over the house. You can 100% trust Tracy and Hudson Valley Maine Coons! She asks that you make an appointment first. If I had done that I would have had the house number and Google Maps wouldn't have gotten us lost for 90 minutes. I love this breeder! I had lost my Maine Coon a few months before finding Tracy, and when I met her and saw the kittens, I was immediately taken aback; not only by the instant connection I felt with one of the kittens, but by how kind, compassionate and caring Tracy was from our very first conversation. She was incredibly patient throughout the entire process and made me feel heard, understood, and supported in my search for my next kitten baby. Every kitten I met was absolutely stunning, healthy, and soooo sociable! Tracy was more than happy to answer every question I had and took the time to show me all of the health testing that had been done, as well as the pedigrees spanning multiple generations. Her transparency, knowledge, and dedication to her cats gave me complete confidence! I never felt for even a moment like anything was being hidden or that Tracy was not forthcoming with information. The entire experience exceeded my expectations, especially because I was initially very hesitant about going through a breeder. I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about Tracy, the communication we shared throughout the process, and the continued care and support she has shown even after I brought my kitten home.
