You never feel like "just another member" here. The amenities are top-tier. The gym is always clean, well-organized, and thoughtfully laid out. The equipment selection is excellent--everything is well maintained, modern, and there's clearly been intention put into creating a space that works for both serious lifters and everyday gym-goers. There's plenty of room to train without feeling overcrowded, and the overall vibe is motivating without being intimidating. What really stands out is the attention to detail--from cleanliness to atmosphere to how smoothly everything runs. It feels like a premium gym experience, but without the ego or chaos you find at big commercial gyms. You can tell the team takes pride in the space and the community they've built. If you're looking for a gym with exceptional customer service, high-quality amenities, and an environment that actually makes you want to show up and train, Vim & Vigor is the place. Highly recommend.

The classes are no more than 6 people at a time. You'll get to know the people in your classes over time, and it feels very supportive instead of intimidating. Coach Nancy and Coach Alyssa are amazing. They're attentive, encouraging, and always help me modify movements when I need to. I've been sedentary for a while, I have rheumatoid arthritis, and I'm limited with a bad knee, and they always make sure I can workout safely while still making progress. The first few weeks were hard for me, I felt very awkward because I've never done any kind of strength training before. But now I can really feel the difference in just 2 months time. Sarah, the owner, is incredibly warm and welcoming, and Daniel is always insightful, friendly, and helpful. The entire staff keeps you engaged, and accountable, but not in a pushy way, in a "just right" way. The workouts are efficient, structured, and I leave feeling stronger and more confident every week. I'm really glad I joined, it is exactly what I needed.

Lots of machines too, and everything seems pretty well maintained. On the other hand, there are often no wipes. And the staff can be a little pushy about surveys/pilates/personal training. It's fine when the front desk tells me about stuff when I'm checking in, but maybe not when I'm trying to leave and halfway out the door. And personal trainers roaming the floor waiting to accost you about personal training is pretty off-putting...

It is suuuuper nice and I think my new favorite club to get a session in! One of the biggest highlights for me was the power rack room. There are a ton of racks stocked with bumper plates and deadlifting platforms, as well as vertical smith machines, two reverse hyper machines, barbell landmine setups, multiple leg presses, belted hip thrust machines, and a standing hip thrust machine. I felt like a kid in a candy store. The cable machines right outside of the power racks were awesome too. I loved the little fold out step built into the machine so shorties can reach the pull up bars without jumping or needing to grab a dumbbell to step on. I was really surprised that in addition to the usual neutral and pronated grips there's also a rock climbing one so you can train your finger grip strength!! I've never seen that before. Attachments were very well stocked and in great condition. The cables I used didn't have the 2.5 x2 incremental weights at the top of the stack (not sure if some other machines had them) but you can stick the pin through a 2.5 lb plate before putting it in the stack if you need to. The isolation machines are really nice too. There's an abundance of different branded machines for the same muscle group so you can choose the machine that feels the best for your body. I really liked that all of the numbers on the stacks were in pristine condition, as it annoys me when the numbers are missing and I can't figure out what weight I'm supposed to be doing. Basically everything at this gym appeared brand new or at least very well maintained. I saw a lot of top of the line equipment and spaces dedicated to meeting the needs of athletes/serious gym goers. I would love if more clubs looked like this one instead of just having endless rows of treadmills and old/broken weight machines that never get fixed or replaced.

I honestly didn't recall much about our sessions, which in itself says a lot about their impact. When Karla reached out, I politely communicated that now wasn't the right time for me to engage in personal training, but that I'd be open to reconnecting after summer. Despite setting that clear boundary, I received repeated messages attempting to push me into scheduling immediately. When I asked to be removed from her contact and email lists, her tone became noticeably defensive and unprofessional. She went as far as to accuse me of being offended and stated she was blocking me--despite her being the one who initiated the contact. I'm sharing this experience so others can make an informed decision. I encourage potential clients to review communications closely and decide if this is someone they feel comfortable working with.

Things shifted when she began promoting a new class and supplements and started using high pressure sales tactics. I was encouraged to sign up quickly for a significant fee. However, I had already prepaid for future sessions and suggested that maybe the new class could be included in what I'd already paid. That didn't go over well. She responded with a lengthy video explaining why she felt undercompensated due to the deep discounts I had already been given. She sent a stream of texts, even after I asked her to stop. It felt less like a professional relationship and more like being guilt-tripped into spending more money. Ultimately, I canceled. Unfortunately, she chose to keep the full prepayment for future sessions that hadn't taken place yet ($2,000). There was no flexibility, no partial refund and no acknowledgment of how uncomfortable and unprofessional the situation had become. If you are considering working with her, just be cautious about paying in advance for services far down the line. Make sure you're comfortable with her policies, because if anything changes, she will try to keep your money. Just remember, refunds are for services rendered. If a service has not been provided because the service was paid for in advance and the service was never provided, there is no legal right to keep a client's money.
