: Great gym. Questionable TV programming committee Canyon Crest Riverside location)…read moreI love the facility itself -- clean, great equipment, solid cardio area. But I have to ask, who exactly is in charge of the TVs in the cardio section? Because I'm genuinely curious about the thought process. Right now we've got: 1. Million Dollar Listings -- perfect for when I'm dying on the elliptical and thinking, "you know what I need right now? A $1M+ home tour." 2. Washington DC local news -- super relevant. I'm sure everyone here is deeply invested in the DC morning commute. 3. TWO different shows about antiques and flipping houses. Is this what my dues are going for? A real estate + DC news + Antiques Roadshow marathon? I'm not asking for much. Just ONE local news channel for what's actually happening here, and ONE sports channel. You know, the two things literally every person in a gym cardio area would watch. Are we really that conservative with the remote? Can we get someone to change it up? Otherwise, 5 stars for the gym, 1 star for whoever has the remote locked away in a vault.

They also have different weight options, exercise balls, some mats available, stretch bands etc. For the grand opening they hosted 3 classes for the community. They had charcuterie cups, mocktails, different vendors and sign up specials. The owner, Samara, is so kind! It looks like they have a wonderful little community going on here. Parking is also not too difficult. She definitely gave this place a beautiful makeover. :)

I went with my wife, I was there to spend time with her since we rarely get to go together. A few trainers accused me of "training" her and had a staff member walk up to me in the middle of the gym and asked me to go up front. The gentleman who approached me handled the situation well, I explained that I'm not a trainer and was trying to be with my wife. I hate to say it but don't think I can go back. He flipped, moved around, and added times that worked for my schedule. Working one on one helped me build trust and confidence in my workouts. From the beginning I told Michael that I did not want a trainer forever, I wanted someone to set up me for success to do workouts on my own. He did just that. I would highly recommend Michael for someone who is unsure, less confident, busy schedule to work with Micheal

I've worked with many trainers over the years, and this has by far been the best experience I've had with a personal trainer. Not only has she helping me reach my fitness goals, but she continuously helps me become a better version of myself. Even with early morning sessions she always has a great attitude and is ready to help you have a productive session! She truly listens to my needs and is incredibly knowledgeable and has great expertise in powerlifting. As a person with a physical disability, I really appreciated that she never shied away from training me or treated me differently. Instead, she took the time to figure out how to modify certain workouts while still helping me accomplish the goals we set together. I also love the private gym atmosphere. I never have to worry about it being overcrowded and not getting everything we have planned for our session, huge plus it's always clean, and everyone is very welcoming. I would highly recommend this gym to anyone, no matter your fitness level or goals. You'll find a welcoming environment, knowledgeable coaching, and a trainer who truly cares about helping you succeed and become the best version of yourself.

Everything ends with a "cha cha cha" which was odd at first and then I got used to it. I do appreciate how she works all the important muscle group and her focus is on mobility. Other instructs in the Riverside area are OK. They like to do more choreography or more squat but how does one squat in the pool? Doesn't work those muscles at all. At least Karen is always on time and does the full class. You do have to attend her class a few times to really understand her teaching style. Now I like it and look forward to it. Only basing this review on Aquat Fitness classes. I'm hoping they offer Sunday classes as I'd like to do more classes on the weekends. As for the women's locker room. Need more frequent cleaning of shower drains and frequent replacement of the shower curtains. I understand it's hard to keep this area dry to prevent black mold but request cleaning and changing will help out.

I signed up for the 3-day trial pass because I'm currently looking for a new gym. I arrived around…read more2:00 PM on July 18 and made it clear both over the phone and again at the front desk that I was not interested in signing up that same day or sitting through a sales presentation. I simply wanted to use the trial to see if the gym was the right fit for my needs without feeling pressured to make an immediate decision. Having worked in sales for over 10 years, I'm already familiar with the membership process. Despite explaining this upfront, I was still taken on a walkthrough that I hadn't wanted in the first place. After the tour, I politely declined to sit down for what I was told would be a "quick" discussion about pricing. At that point, I was informed that they could not honor my 3-day trial pass and was asked to leave. This was disappointing because I was under the impression that the trial pass could be used without any obligation to discuss membership or sign up immediately. I came in hoping to evaluate the gym, but instead felt that access to the trial was conditioned on participating in a sales conversation I had already declined before arriving. ‍ Better personal recommendations in the area : 24 hour fitness 3490 Madison St Riverside, CA 92504 United States Eos 335 E Alessandro Blvd Riverside, CA 92508 United States Chuze 6075 Magnolia Ave Riverside, CA 92506 United States

Huge recreation space, so many different amenities to try, overall a pretty nice recreation center…read more After 4 years of coming here to the student rec center at UCR, I've decided to write a Yelp review. There have been so many changes over the years to the gym here at UCR, mostly to try to better the place. They've moved things around, made things nicer, added more things, and overall improved the gym space but adding things like extra power racks and now they have a weight sled on the second floor. Service is generally friendly but usually whenever I ask the front desk for things, they seem lost or they act like they don't care about anything. Overall, I do think that this recreation center is a lot nicer than other the other UCs. Some of my complaints include that they refuse to have higher dumbbell limits, since the highest dumbbells only go up to 100. I know it's not in-demand to have them, but if students need to progress, you'd think they'd add more weights. I also don't like that they got rid of some of the leg machines downstairs and moved them upstairs. By doing that, you're making students become even more lazy from doing leg workouts more often and you've created a chicken leg epidemic! haha If you're coming to this gym from outside of the university, I believe that they have guest passes for $5. But if you're from UCR, I highly suggest utilizing this gym because it's included in your tuition.

You got a huge weight room, cardio area, dance rooms, racketball rooms, tennis courts, sand volleyball courts, track and field, basketball courts, ping pong table, and badminton. The only thing missing here is a swimming pool but hey that might be in the works also. Also not to mention the outdoor excursion stuff they got here. Best place to work out, any activity is just a heart beat away. Positives: Tons of ways to get in shape. Negatives: Gets overcrowded, especially during New Years resolutions time and the newbie freshmens.

She truly brought this place back to life and created the kind of private gym atmosphere people are looking for, clean, organized, welcoming, and focused. I train with Chris S and highly recommend him. He's reasonable, supportive, understanding, and genuinely helps you work toward your goals in a way that feels realistic and sustainable. While I appreciate the recent updates to the gym, I would like to provide feedback regarding…read moreseveral issues that make it difficult to complete a full workout. First, the dumbbell area is consistently disorganized. Because the racks are not numbered, weights are often scattered throughout the gym, making it hard to find what I need. Additionally, the current selection is limited; expanding the weight range beyond 120 lbs to match the 150 lbs offered by competitors like EOS would be a significant improvement. I also suggest adding more variety to the cable attachments. Furthermore, the cleanliness of the facility needs attention. The bathrooms and sinks are often dirty, and there is a frequent shortage of paper towels and cleaning spray. This is particularly concerning as many members do not wipe down equipment after use. Given that other local gyms offer more equipment and better maintenance at a competitive price point, I believe these improvements are necessary to ensure the gym remains a good value for its members.

At first, I missed my old girlfriend (Athletics United) but quickly I started I became infatuated by Ape Arena. Right off the bat they bought all new equipment. Rowers, Bikes, Bars, Plates, Ergs, Racks, Dumbbells, Kettlebells. It is a first class operation. Not to mention they have meals, supplements, and fitness plans to help meet your goals. The owner is a nut. Yes I said it. He is all over the map in a good way. He has unlimited energy. He's the type of person that you wanna be around because he inspires and motivates you. He is very intense and he might be crazy (in a good way). With that said, Chris is the guy you want to train you and energize this group fitness environment. Chris really cares and is so passionate about good technique, gains, health and he loves to yell, play loud music and motivate you. It is a blast. He is in your corner. Chris is a solid dude and you will take the time to give you the tools for your success. Jessica (Chris' wife) also is very passionate about fitness. She is a beast, and has an extra gear and often works out with the group when she is not busy with new clients. Chris and Jessica are an awesome team! It is more than a business to them and they love what they do which makes all the difference. Workouts: Expect the unexpected. No other workout routine can give you so much in so little time. I think the best part of Ape Arena is the family environment. Most people here are not teenyboppers or people that are looking to date other people, they are folks that are established and are trying their best to achieve personal goals and there is definitely a sense of community when we're all working out together. What sets this gym apart from others I believe from what I hear from my other friends at other gyms is our coaches are absolutely amazing. In addition to Chris, you have Malik and Chity (I know I misspelled it) and they are alike in consistency but all have great strengths individually. Collectively they are all professionals and masters of their craft and they all care about you, your goals, and your health. I love the team that they assembled I think I will be coming here a long time because I have so much fun doing hard work and the results I have seen are absolutely amazing. Pound-for-pound I am probably the strongest I have ever been in my life and that's pretty crazy because I was pretty fit in the Marine Corps. You can't go wrong at this gym but I will say things are not easy. You have to put in the work. You have to be focused. You have to work on things that coaches to tell you to do. You have to like the feeling of sweat dripping all over the place. Thank you Ape Arena and all the coaches. You know who you are. You guys are amazing people. You have absolutely exceeded my expectations and I cannot imagine a life without being a part of this gym.
