The colors really complement each other. They also have different weight options, exercise balls, some mats available, stretch bands etc. For the grand opening they hosted 3 classes for the community. They had charcuterie cups, mocktails, different vendors and sign up specials. The owner, Samara, is so kind! It looks like they have a wonderful little community going on here. Parking is also not too difficult. She definitely gave this place a beautiful makeover. :)

I also wanted to…read morerespond to a review I saw here that I personally do not think reflects the environment of this gym. From my experience, this gym has been very safe and respectful for women. I have never been disrespected by any men here. I go at different times of the day, both mornings and evenings, so I see different groups of people, and my experience has always been positive. Overall, the gym is great. I really like that there have been upgrades with new machines being added. It's nice to see the gym continuing to improve the equipment for members. One suggestion I would have is adding more recovery options. The sauna is great, but many gyms are starting to offer additional recovery amenities. It would be really nice to see things like massage chairs, a cold plunge, or other recovery features added for members. Another improvement that could help would be organizing some of the machines a bit more by section, such as grouping leg machines together and arm machines together. Aside from those suggestions, I really enjoy this gym. It's a clean, safe environment and a great place to work out. The staff here are also great and very helpful. I saw some people mention that the blonde woman who works here is rude, but that has not been my experience at all. She has always been very nice. She may have a strong voice and might come across as serious at first, but once you talk to her she is actually very kind. She may just not be a super bubbly person, and that's okay because everyone has different personalities. I would also like to point out that all of the employees here have been nice and respectful. I arrived around…read more2:00 PM on July 18 and made it clear both over the phone and again at the front desk that I was not interested in signing up that same day or sitting through a sales presentation. I simply wanted to use the trial to see if the gym was the right fit for my needs without feeling pressured to make an immediate decision. Having worked in sales for over 10 years, I'm already familiar with the membership process. Despite explaining this upfront, I was still taken on a walkthrough that I hadn't wanted in the first place. After the tour, I politely declined to sit down for what I was told would be a "quick" discussion about pricing. At that point, I was informed that they could not honor my 3-day trial pass and was asked to leave. This was disappointing because I was under the impression that the trial pass could be used without any obligation to discuss membership or sign up immediately. Huge recreation space, so many different amenities to try, overall a pretty nice recreation center…read more After 4 years of coming here to the student rec center at UCR, I've decided to write a Yelp review. There have been so many changes over the years to the gym here at UCR, mostly to try to better the place. They've moved things around, made things nicer, added more things, and overall improved the gym space but adding things like extra power racks and now they have a weight sled on the second floor. Service is generally friendly but usually whenever I ask the front desk for things, they seem lost or they act like they don't care about anything. Overall, I do think that this recreation center is a lot nicer than other the other UCs. Some of my complaints include that they refuse to have higher dumbbell limits, since the highest dumbbells only go up to 100. I know it's not in-demand to have them, but if students need to progress, you'd think they'd add more weights. I also don't like that they got rid of some of the leg machines downstairs and moved them upstairs. By doing that, you're making students become even more lazy from doing leg workouts more often and you've created a chicken leg epidemic! haha If you're coming to this gym from outside of the university, I believe that they have guest passes for $5. But if you're from UCR, I highly suggest utilizing this gym because it's included in your tuition.

They have any type of weight training you need, an indoor track, beautiful pool, tennis courts, basketball courts, and almost anything you need. The equipment is kept clean, and you can use the rooms to do floor training when classes aren't being held. Speaking of classes - they have people come and teach Zumba, Pilates, or again - anything you need. Water stations on both floors, and clean bathrooms on both floors as well. Sometimes the SRC gets crowded, but that's mostly after the New Years. If you avoid prime hours of working out you'll have no problem getting the machines you need. However, even if it is crowded, you'll still get what you need with a short wait time. If you're a student or have the opportunity to use this gym, I strongly recommend it!

Since Kelly returned, rebranded the gym, and put her own vision into the space, the difference has been huge. She truly brought this place back to life and created the kind of private gym atmosphere people are looking for, clean, organized, welcoming, and focused. I train with Chris S and highly recommend him. He's reasonable, supportive, understanding, and genuinely helps you work toward your goals in a way that feels realistic and sustainable. The equipment has been repaired for the most part ( thank you for that!) but now it's general house up keeping that needs attention. Cans, bottles, paper towel, gross garbage bins (inside) and I don't use the restrooms here so I can't comment on that. The gym sadly just looks gross and run down when it's not clean. Members straight up need to clean up after themselves but when they fail to do so it's left to the crew here. If you're looking for a clean, well kept gym, right now I can't recommend this place.

First, the dumbbell area is consistently disorganized. Because the racks are not numbered, weights are often scattered throughout the gym, making it hard to find what I need. Additionally, the current selection is limited; expanding the weight range beyond 120 lbs to match the 150 lbs offered by competitors like EOS would be a significant improvement. I also suggest adding more variety to the cable attachments. Furthermore, the cleanliness of the facility needs attention. The bathrooms and sinks are often dirty, and there is a frequent shortage of paper towels and cleaning spray. This is particularly concerning as many members do not wipe down equipment after use. Given that other local gyms offer more equipment and better maintenance at a competitive price point, I believe these improvements are necessary to ensure the gym remains a good value for its members.
