The barista was friendly, and this is such a nice, quiet spot to lounge or get some work done. As for the coffee, I'm more of a fun specialty drink person, I was hoping for a fall seasonal menu or drink but the menu is very basic. Unfortunately, the coffee itself wasn't a standout for me. I ordered the honey bee latte with oat milk. I loved the atmosphere, but I personally wouldn't come back for the coffee.

Nothing wow but definitely drinkable. What upset me the most was the food. Or should I say the lack of it. As a business owner myself I always make sure that I have everything in stock. Here we were supposed to have access to light breakfast which included bagels and cream cheese, well Dylan at that time didn't have cream cheese! One of the guests got just a toasted bagel! Another guest wanted to order a bagel with salmon and that wasn't available as well. Dylan stated "we got wiped out yesterday". **July 2026: Thursday Afternoon Visit**…read more My friend and I were visiting Phoenix during a 110-degree heat wave and desperately needed something to cool us down, so I went searching and came across Sphinx Date Co Palm & Pantry. The date milkshake sounded too good to pass up, so my friend and I made the drive out to Scottsdale for a little afternoon treat--and it was absolutely worth it. As soon as we walked in, the shop owner was incredibly warm and welcoming. She offered us a sample of a Medjool date, and wow--it was plump, rich, and had this deep caramel-like sweetness that instantly sold me. You can really taste the quality. We each ordered a large date milkshake, and it was everything I hoped for. It tasted clean and simple in the best way--like it's made with just dates, milk, and ice cream (which is typically what a classic date shake includes). It was creamy, naturally sweet, and super refreshing in the Arizona heat. I also loved that the store carries a variety of Arizona-made local products, which made souvenir shopping so easy. They had everything from BBQ sauce and hot sauce to wines and cactus candy. I ended up picking up a few sauces and some jumbo Medjool dates to bring home as gifts. The owner also shared that they carry different types of dates depending on the season. I'm already looking forward to coming back to try their Sphinx dates, which she described as having a thinner skin and a more honey-like flavor--apparently available in late summer. Overall, I really loved this shop, its mission, and the quality of its products. This is definitely a spot you'll want to bookmark for your next Phoenix trip.

Her menu is really fun, and you can tell she's passionate about bringing interesting flavors to her shop. Since I am a creature of habit, I am not the most adventurous person when it comes to new (to me) flavors, so I personally opted for the typical matcha lattes during my visits. One time I did go for the pink coconut water matcha and that was an amazing treat, especially considering the sweltering Arizona summer. I really enjoy her regular iced matcha lattes, the ratio of matcha to milk and sweetener is perfect, and is very reminiscent of another local fave of mine, Yumi's Coffee's matcha. You can tell quality is the priority here, and a slow, and intentional experience. Elaine takes your order and prepares your drinks right there, and it's lovely getting to chat with her while she does so. I believe she's on a break for a bit, but I can't wait for her return!
