He had viewed my CT scans online when I was in the ER, so he knew my case. He examined, then presented the options and his recommendation. And we were on our way. Today he fixed my orbital blowout (yeah, that's what they call it) at Missouri Baptist Medical Center. Dr. Rosenblum came to see me prior to surgery, and not a lot of surgeons do that. A fabulous personal touch. He was friendly, yet all business and entirely professional. He came in saying, "You look great with your broken face," which was a helpful ice-"breaker"!! He reviewed all my pre-op tests results thoroughly along with my whole "chart," was upbeat, and inspired optimism and great trust in his skills. After surgery, he met and talked with my friend who escorted me to Missouri Baptist Medical Center (friend or family for the driving situation is required), and gave her all the particulars, spending a good piece of time to explain everything. Kudos for that!! All-around, a top-notch, first-class physician and surgeon!

After a brief office visit with Dr. Hardemann he ordered an MRI which was performed at Mercy Hospital. there were delays in getting the order to the hospital due to, "them not being in their network". After the MRI was finally done, I received the results from Mercy Hospital 2 days later. I don't understand all of the results and have been waiting for Dr. Hardeman or someone from his office to call me back to discuss them. I have called Gateway ENT a number of times but cannot get any information. Very poor followup.

And what makes this Hospital one of the worst is that it employs Dr. Gustavo von Der Lancken MD. Cocky, Horrible bed-side manner, doesn't take time to answer questions, Interrupts, off putting, disrespectful to the staff, does not make someone comfortable about surgery and had a peculiar odor. He was such an unprofessional jerk that I was possibly going to have gallbladder surgery, but after he left the room I thought about these oddities for about 2 minutes then I changed, packed my stuff, told the nurses I was extremely angry and that man IS NOT putting his hands on me!

I had stage 2 cervical cancer in my thirties which he treated with success . My sister in law was diagnosed with cervical cancer by her doctor and she was pregnant at the time. Her doctor told her she needed to have an abortion in order for him to treat the cancer. I immediately contacted Dr. Houck's office and they got her in right away. He not only treated her cancer but saved her pregnancy and she had a healthy baby. I have recommended him and continue to do so for any woman who needs the best in this medical profession. He is five stars all the way. I am now 67 years old and my GP said my gynecologist visits are done, however, I do know if there is ever a problem this is the doctor I will be seeing.
