We have had nothing but very positive experiences with this location for minor healthcare needs…read morethat couldn't wait until our doctor's office or pediatrician was open or available to see us. Examples of reasons we've gone here are strep throat, ear infections, swimmers ear, and sinus infection. We were properly diagnosed, we were seen at the time we expected (not a long wait if we walked in, seen within 5 minutes of appt time if we made an appt prior to coming in), ans it was very convenient to be able to pick up our prescriptions right there. Definitely recommend! I have gone to another chain pharmacy that offers medical visits and have never received this level of care. (The other location even sent me home after missing a pneumonia diagnosis & telling me I just needed to "let the cold run it's course." The other pharmacy has also mixed up prescriptions that would've killed or harmed our unborn child. Thankfully, we caught it ourselves at home.

Generally you aren't headed here on a fun trip, our visit was no different. There are tons of urgent cares in the area. I picked this one because I drove by recently and the building looked very new, I knew where it was, it was covered by our insurance and because of the Yelp reviews and that someone said they were good for kids. I went to the light and came around back of the CVS this is really the easiest way to get in. We showed up before the doors were unlocked. We were the first people in line. In the first 10 minutes on a Saturday they had about 6 other walk ins. They seemed to handle the rush well. The office staff was prompt and professional. The nurse was very kind, patient and gentle with an upset kid who was in pain. We had to have x-rays. Our x-ray person was also top flight and did great with the situation. We saw Dr. Powers who was awesome. We saw him very quickly after all that he read the x-rays and assessed us. Ultimately just based on the age of the patient and severity transferred us to children's. He said he could/would take care of us but that they were more geared for what we needed. We went to a pediatric emergency room and even though he talked to them on the phone and sent the x-rays and paper work over it took them 4 hours and calls to several specialists to come to the same conclusion he came to cake to in 15 minutes. Ultimately he was correct we needed the resources to treat the situation in someone so young they had and it was the right choice and they did an excellent job. Based on Dr.Powers professionalism and opinions and his excellent staff, nurses and technicians. St. Luke's will be our first stop for all future urgent care! I can't thank them enough.

I was directed to Metro Urgent Care by my senior housing services coordinator. The nurse and doctor were wonderful! So compassionate and caring! I was there for three hours. They kept checking on me every few minutes and suggested bathroom breaks during the hydration process. I will surely recommend this Metro Urgent Care location and will use it again if needed.

Nobody was there.! Red flag. They couldn't take me. I came all the way from Illinois. I had the new lady ask him why did he make an appointment for me if they couldn't see me. She really had no answer. Just shook her shoulders. Total waste of my drive. This is not even a real doctor. Last time she prescribe stuff I don't need. They re not professional. Even the atmosphere is chilly. Go somewhere else. Many place and urgent cares places to go. Save time!

Bit of a mixed experience this weekend with horrible upfront scheduling, check-in and wait time,…read morepartially redeemed by capable care received at the end. My wife was up most of night with horrible headache from a sinus infection. Thought urgent care was best option, and the O'Fallon WellNow was most convenient. At 10:15am, I scheduled an appt online for earliest available 11:15am. Arrived 10:45am, was given a tablet to complete registration. I helped my wife fill everything out because her head hurt so much. Woman at check-in not sympathetic or empathetic. Finally shown a room at 12:10pm, doctor appeared 12:45pm (hour and half after scheduled appt). Doctor WAS empathetic, listened carefully, was capable and professional. So despite the disappointing upfront experience and amount of time involved, we were able to receive competent care in the end.

How did I end up here?…read more Having dinner with some associates, I was eating as I normally do yet one person noticed my eating habits and asked me what was wrong. My response... Oh my tongue just feels a little funny so I'm taking a break. Immediately, everyone at the table was in shock and said I must be allergic because you shouldn't have to "take a break" from food. Well heck I've been "taking breaks" for years and I've always taken allergy pills over the counter but thought that was normal. At the behest of a concerned colleagues and family, I went ahead and made what I thought was an unneeded appointment here. What's so funny is three people who do not know each other whatsoever all recommended I go see Dr. Ruiz. That's not just a coincidence but a cosmic sign of intervention that was needed and this was where I need to be. I'll jump right to it ... the staff was ultra-courteous and professional. Dr. Ruiz was so nice and explained everything. I told him about my symptoms and things that were going on. He explained the how, what, when and why then we went on with the tests. When it was time for test kit for allergies wow I had things going off like fireworks! Great news, I am not allergic to any foods. The swelling I've been feeling in my tongue and the change in body temperature was only my body overreacting thinking it was one thing yet it wasn't. Dr. Ruiz said that was the only way I was able to take a break and go back and if I were truly allergic there would be no returning to that food and I probably would've passed out a long time ago. I'm of a certain age where I wasn't affected by the peanut allergy so I'm safe. Allergy testing is not just for kids. Don't be like me and suffer in silence, go see someone to make your daily interactions with the environment much more pleasant; and you won't have people at the dinner table staring at you with looks of wonder.
