Being able to get (basically) immediate care was really great. I joined the waitlist online and made my way there when it was my turn. They started me out with a hearing test, and then I met with the doctor. She prescribed me with some meds to try to help the problem, and gave me a couple of possible causes for my attack. It was still so early, so it was hard to eliminate all of the possible factors. I do wish I was given a print out and more information, as I think it would have been helpful for my future appointments at other doctors, but I walked out empty handed. I continued to have problems and called again the next day. The doctor was pretty prompt in calling me back which I genuinely appreciate. All in all, it's a solid service given what it is- walk in. Front desk was really helpful, and everyone was really kind.

As I wanted to be seen to have my ears cleaned, I thought it would be easy. The website was a no go, as the staff would have seen me in a week. So I dropped in or walked in as they now allow. The walk in process ended up taking about 60 minutes. Not terrible, but not exactly as expected. As I will be traveling and not back in town for a while, I wanted to get this done. I did a quick google and decided to go ahead and check her out, she is a Physicians Assistant which I actually prefer. I saw the same Pediatric Physician my whole life, then switched to Family Medicine where I was another 9 years, so I've been anxious to find someone new in St. Louis where I recently moved. I'll tell you what, Claire didn't disappoint. And to be honest, I think I like her better than my Pediatrician AND first adult physician combined. She was warm and inviting, listened to everything I had to say, had great advice, and was super knowledgeable. She's also trained on Pap smears, so for the women out there, check her out, she's a one stop shop. She would be an amazing provider for anyone. I could go on forever about how amazing she is, but you're just going to have to check her out yourself. Since SLUCare is associated with St. Louis University School of Medicine, the doctor you see consults with fellow professors, and instructs and mentors students. I think there's a lot of competency and accountability built into a connected system like this, and that makes me more confident about the quality of care I'm receiving. Of course, sometimes it means that an extra doctor or medical student is sitting in on your exam. This may not feel so wonderful if you're shy. In my case, when a couple of young doctors peel back my privacy gown to check me out, it just means I have more material to weave into the tall tale I tell my wife. During last week's visit, I started out with obligatory stops at stations for insurance-billing, registration, and nurse medical history review. Then, since my last dermatologist recently moved out-of-area, I was introduced to Dr. Tarbox, whose manner was just about the best I've ever experienced in a physician. She immediately made me feel comfortable, really listened to me, did the full-body skin check, explained thoroughly what she was seeing, went away while the nurse pricked the needles in to numb me up, then carried on a pleasant conversation while she sliced and bandaged my face and neck. After about a week, you can look at me and not cringe - I am no longer hideous!

We love The Children's Clinic!…read more When we first started our search for a Pediatrician, we felt overwhelmed by the options. We were referred to Dr. Plax by 2 sets of friends. When we first called to see if he was accepting new patients, the receptionist said he would personally call us to schedule a meeting. We ended up meeting him at the clinic on a Thursday evening at 6PM. We were elated that he offered to meet us in-person before we made our decision, especially at the end of his work day. He sat with us for 20 minutes and answered all of our questions and eased our concerns. We knew after that meeting that he was definitely going to be our baby's pediatrician! His level of care and concern was something we never expected from a doctor. We were blown away! Every visit thereafter has been so great. He is a very calming doctor who eases all of our concerns and never makes us feel crazy for asking questions. He really knows his stuff. He comes from a family of pediatricians so it's apparent he has passion for what he does! We have never had any problems being seen right away when our baby has been sick which has also been very nice. I had some concerns about my baby so Dr. Plax called me to talk about it. He was then able to see us the next morning! I could go on and on about Children's Clinic and Dr. Plax's care. Highly recommend!

There was a several week period where they had to "review records" before I could schedule an appointment or bring in a sick child. The other office had already "dumped" us because the records were transferred. This left us without a pediatrician for a while, all while needing the second dose of a flu shot. This office told me to take him to the Health Department (um, first off they don't even give vaccines in the City other than Monkeypox and second, everywhere they referred me to did not do babies!) My baby was finally "accepted", after they reviewed his typical shots I guess, and we came in for an ear check. It took TWO 15 MIN calls to even make an appointment. The staff that answers the phone was very rude as well. Upon arrival, there are three doors you can use. I used the one that said "well visit" and listed ear ache. After going in, they tell me I'm in the wrong place and need to use the sick door. Ugh, then why list ear ache?? The wait time is minimal, it went very quickly, and I really liked the doctor, but the difficulty in making an appointment is something I don't want to deal with on a regular basis. It's also a HUGE office. I already transferred out.

She was thorough and down to earth. She seems to have patients of all ages, as reflected by folks in the waiting room. I will happily refer all my friends and customers who need an allergist. She also works some for a local urgent care....which I also like, as I feel it shows a breadth of skill and practice.

I checked with them 3 times that they took my insurance before seeing the doctor (twice over the…read morephone and once in person). All 3 times they confirmed that they do accept my insurance, so I went ahead and paid my co-pay and saw the doc. Two weeks later, they call me up and tell me that they made a mistake and they don't actually take my insurance and that I now owe them another $220. When I refused to pay for their mistake they attacked my credit. Do NOT go here and do NOT trust them with your information. They aren't worth the hassle. So, Sabio, you can't figure out how insurance works, but you can figure out how to sell my information to collection agencies?
