    I was referred to Jacqueline Hartman at her Ellisville Hearing Center location for a Resound One…read morehearing aid because the referring healthcare plan provider's information indicated that Jacqueline had listed herself and her Hearing Center as an expert in Resound One hearing aids. Upon arrival, Jacqueline immediately tried to sell me a Starkey brand hearing aid instead, which was not in my best interest. It became clear that she tried to do that because she knew almost nothing about the Resound One. Her service was terrible. It was my first hearing aid experience, and Jacqueline hurried through the process without fitting the hearing aid properly for me and without ever telling me that Resound has an excellent iPhone app that works very well with their hearing aids. I discovered the app myself and subsequently asked Jacqueline about it. Her response was that there is an app and that the guidebook provides instructions on how to download and use the app with the hearing aid. At no time did Jacqueline help me with the app, set the hearing aid up for the app, or anything else. It was clear that she either did not know how to use the app or that she was not willing to do any work to help me with it. Jacqueline also did not provide me with set up of many of the Resound One's outstanding environment features such as its Outdoor and Ultra Focus settings. She never mentioned them. She incorrectly fit the hearing aids to me in such a manner that they receiver wires were not flush to my ears - her solution to that was simply to keep pushing them in further until they hurt. After only two weeks, I was so frustrated and disappointed that I was not getting the benefits of my hearings aids because Jacqueline was unwilling or lacked the knowledge of doing a good job with them, that I canceled my relationship with she and her hearing centers and returned the hearing aids to the healthcare provider so that I would be able to change to a different audiologist and start all over again, which I did. I waited until I had been provided services and assistance from the new audiologist before writing this review so that I would know for sure whether it was Jacqueline Hartman, Resound One, or me that was the problem with the inexcusably poor treatment that I had received from Jacqueline Hartman. The second audiologist did an outstanding job and I am now getting the full benefits and advantages of my hearing aids. As I had suspected, the deficiencies and problems that I experienced the first go-around were entirely the fault of Jacqueline Hartman and her Hearing Center in not being knowledgeable about a product that she claimed to be an expert on, and her failure to put much effort into doing a good job for me.
