Rob is an extremely helpful person and even though I did not end up getting treated at the facility, he sent me several exercises and videos to look at unprompted and did not sell me on PT services when I didn't need it. Rob is MAGIC! You won't meet a more knowledgeable and dedicated PT! We first met Rob when he was recommended to us by a good friend, for my sons arm issue (baseball stuff), and he worked his magic, and got him back into his routine quickly and with confidence! When I finally made my own appointment to see him, I had been living with years of chronic neck and shoulder pain. I could not sleep and was barely functional at full capacity with my body. I chose Strive for post-op physical therapy because of its 5-star ratings and because it's close to home. The owner, Ron Abrams, is an extremely knowledgeable, experienced, thoughtful & personable guy. Dr. Dearborn did my double knee replacement in early August 2019. Rob relished the challenge of working on them. He focusing on breaking loose the scar tissue under the incisions, improving my balance, and calming down my IT band (via massage). Most importantly, he worked on gaining back knee extension, flexion, adduction, abduction & rotation. We eventually achieved zero degrees extension and 135 degrees flexion -- both of which are considered the maxima for prosthetic knees. I had a total of 14 appointments with Rob and was very happy with the outcome. The facility has all of the equipment needed to re-hab every joint in the body. There are a lot of PT choices out there, but I would recommend Rob over any other practitioner. read more

Rob is fantastic. My orthopedic doctor referred me to him for IT band syndrome in my knee (running injury) and a bone contusion in my elbow (bike injury). I worked with Rob several times, and I not only felt better every time I went to see him, but he gave me great exercises to do in between our meetings so that I could keep my fitness up. He helped my knee enough to do a multi-day bike tour without any knee pain. When I had a subsequent shoulder injury, I went back to Rob (perhaps I am injury-prone) and he again had great stretches and exercises for my shoulder and suggestions on how to keep up my fitness without pain while I continued to heal. Rob listened to what was important to me, what my goals were, and helped me recover well. He even wanted to hang a picture of me completing my bike tour on his "wall of fame" as a success story, how great! I was very impressed that it didn't matter where my injury was (knee, elbow, shoulder), Rob had a plethora of exercises and stretches that I could do -- and they worked! I had never had PT before and therefore, had no idea what to expect. Strive was fantastic. Organized, friendly, everything handled via email -- appointment confirmations, follow-up exercise PDFs, etc. Rob was extremely knowledgable about biomechanics. Strive is really great. Rob's attention to detail and ability to explain things clearly is something that I have not found common in most physical therapy environments. Unfortunately I have had lot's of experience with PT but Strive shines. Rob's openness and ability to communicate clearly and concisely helps me to help myself which is one of the most important tools in healing from an injury. He has a very analytical approach to his therapy sessions which I find great for multiple reasons, not least of which is the ability to share with me the actual and literal measurement of progress so I know what I'm doing right and what we need to work on. He is very knowledgeable and communicates what he is doing, which helps me to understand whats going on with my body physically and by doing so helps me to avoid re-injury not to mention helping me do things that facilitate my own healing and strengthening. When I'm introduced to a new exercise, I receive an email detailing the exercise so when I'm not in a session and doing my exercises at home, I can still have my questions answered. What set's Rob apart for me is this attention to detail, Rob is forthright with this information and uses this knowledge as a tool to empower me as his patient to help myself. I found Rob at Strive when I accidentally confused his PT clinic with another one, and it was one of the best mistakes I've ever made! In June 2016 I had my left hip replaced and needed PT urgently. However my case was unusually challenging because I was scheduled to have my right hip replaced in a few more weeks AND I had an uncommon foot injury.
