To be clear of my experience: Therapist was outstanding…read more Reason behind my rating: When I had originally enrolled my son to work with this facility my first and most important request was that he would have the ability to work with the same therapist. In receiving services with cps there was a lot inconsistency with services and the therapist was changing frequently. So naturally I thought that if we paid for private services this problem can be avoided. So I searched for a private practice . I was assured that the request for having my child consistently work with the same therapist would be fulfilled. Those assurances gave me peace of mind and with that we enroll our child. Now I'm being informed that my child will no longer be able to work with the same therapist due to policy change. I asked what the out of pocket expense would be to keep my son with the same therapist and was informed that "regrettably" that wasn't an option. Again I re-iterated to the facility prior to enrollment the importance it was for me to have 1 instructor work with my child. And now (a few short months later) my family and I can no longer be accommodated.

My therapists were Jeff Gaich and Robin Dal Santo and you can tell they both love what they do and it shows with each interaction I personally experienced and the ones I seen with their other patients when I was there. Their office space was clean, played great music and had a warm feel to it, which works because their staff treats you like a part of their family. Corey, who works the front desk and also assists the therapists, was a joy to be around and when a death in my family suddenly occurred she was very caring and understanding with me rescheduling my appointments towards the end of my rehab. When I arrived after that, Robin, Jeff and Corey showed me compassion, concern and helped me stay positive through that hard time. They are truly a cut above the rest. My wrist feels stronger than ever and at 100% again because of them. I HIGHLY recommend PTSIR for any of your rehabilitation needs!

When my son was 18 months old and showing signs of delays I was told by the pediatrician, my family…read moreand friends, etc that boys take longer and to wait it out. My mama heart knew that time was not going to be the fix so I started calling therapy providers for help. Every place I called was enthusiastic until they found out I didn't have the 'right' insurance. The only place that did not close the door in my face was CTC. They evaluated my son for Speech and Occupational concerns and suggested a treatment plan that would fit my budget for a couple months until November, when I could apply for better Health Insurance coverage. Months later they suggested my son get evaluated by a neuropsychologist and referred me to a top rated Doctor that was In Network with my insurance and did not have a lengthy waitlist. I believe I waited 3 weeks for our appointment. The results of that evaluation were devastating, and I was quickly overwhelmed, feeling lost and heartbroken. But I was not alone. The therapists, technicians, administrative staff and even the owner of the clinic supported and guided my son and I into our new reality with the utmost compassion and care. They did not simply provide the therapy my son needed. I was provided parent training through observation, participation and private meetings with my son's therapy team. They taught me to understand my son and how to parent a child with different abilities. I was introduced to the parent support group where for the first time I was among parents that were in the same boat and faced the same challenges at home and out in the world. These other parents are now my best friends...and their children are my sons' friends. We look forward to playdates, park meet-ups and birthday parties where before I was afraid of or shy'd away from these activities. I am proud of how much progress my son has made with thanks to his dedicated therapy providers at Childrens therapy connections and I am grateful for the support and community they have given us. If you have a child that you suspect is delayed have them evaluated at CTC. There is a shortage of Therapy for children across the board so if you are going to be waitlisted anywhere you call, this is the waitlist you want to be on.

What happened to my daughter I don't  wish it for any autistic child!!!!! The employees inside were taking my daughter from the car, once she's inside my child was changed to a untrained employees ... They were closing the door on my daughter from two to more than four hours Screaming at my daughter and scaring her!!!!!!!! Please, parents, pay attention to your children there, please! My daughter was a patient with delayed mobility and at 7 months old ( she was a multiple birth…read morebaby) , she began her treatment journey with Kids in Motion , physical therapy three days a week and her physical therapist was from Switzerland , specializing in pediatric physical therapy, Marien . It was such a time of worries for me , about my daughter's future , and I want to tell everyone what a incredible start that Kids in Motion gave my daughter. My daughter became a Bronze Medalist at Upper Great Lakes Figure Skating Regional Championships at at 15 years old , qualified for sectionals. and then at age 20 , competed for College of Lake County, Cross Country at Nationals two years in a row, then transferred to Northern Illinois University as a Cross Country NCAA D1 athlete . This is the baby of mine that started to walk at two years old , but then on her toes and I believe she graduated from kids in motion at age three? It was a long time ago and I waited this long to brag , and give all credit to Kids in Motion , because with out early intervention at my daughter's age starting at seven months old , I do not believe my daughter would of achieved what she has achieved so far, with the biggest form of gratitude, I thank you Kids in Motion staff year 2000.-2003 . My daughter is pursuing a career in physical therapy and athletic training as an undergraduate at NIU.
