70 years old, best doctor I have had in my life, he has helped me with more than just my health issues, one of the best

I can't believe the nerves of a forgetful mind. He increased my dose of medication. I needed a refill; he tells me that I need to call the doctor who provided it. Why change it to start? He tells me he was being nice, WTH. He tells me to find a new doctor because after waiting a week for a refill, I called. He took the time to call me to say that. I wish he had taken the time to call before I waited. read more

I am not one to write reviews, but Dr. Kailash Sharma was not a good doctor for me. I initially saw him in November he diagnosed me with emphysema I have nodes in both lungs and Sharma said "oh that's nothing to be concerned about." I was very concerned. Sharma then asked me if I believed in a higher power I said absolutely then I asked him what is the life expectancy with this diagnosis and Sharma said "probably have 5 years to live." I was devastated. Sharma prescribed Breztri, gave me a few samples and sent me on my way. I called my insurance provider and was told my out of pocket cost would be $200.00 for Breztri. I had run out of samples and couldn't afford the cost. I called the good doctor and asked for more sample and/or change my prescription to Trilogy. I told him I was having trouble breathing and Sharma said "call your pcp for samples I can't help you." I started crying wondering how Sharma could be so heartless. I would never recommend this self-righteous, self-absorbed doctor to anyone. However, I would be remised if I didn't say how helpful the office staff was. I found a great pulmonologist that told me no doctor can predict your death only God. I have nodes in both lungs which my new doctor told me we need to check on once a year to see if there are any changes. I am on Trilogy and doing great I have my whole life ahead of me. God is great! read more

Good doctor, but he holds his patients hostage in order to get prescription refills must see him first.

Our family has been with Dr. Sharma for over 25 years. I have never met a doctor that is so caring about their patients than him. You are not a co pay, you are a patient/person to him. He will takes his time with you, but sometimes other patients have to wait over their appt time. IT IS WELL worth it. This man is absolutely amazing and deserves all the praise, I swear he knows what is wrong with his patients. It's unbelievable also how smart he is. We wouldn't know what to do without him. He also teaches you how to meditate, wholeness and relaxation,....... who does that? He has so many Degrees and awards.... he deserves the highest of the highest read more

Dr. Sharma is not only an excellent medical doctor with but also teaches wholeness, healing, and relaxation through meditation and yoga. I am new to meditation and was excited to see results within a week of learning one technique. Dr. Sharma and his staff do genuinely care about the people they take care of and it is a wonderful experience. If you are interested in not only learning how to manage stress, but total relaxation and clearer thinking, this is the place to be. read more

Patient beware!!! Dr. Sharma seemed like a very nice Dr. in the beginning. His office was clean, he was friendly , timely & seemed to genuinely care so much that he became my primary care Dr not just my Pulmonologist. I felt confident that several people I referred to him would feel likewise. That being said he either has an evil twin or has just done a complete about turn. Rather quickly things started to change drastically ie. long wait times, cancellations, no returned calls, problems constantly with his billing department which isn't onsite (and run by Mrs. Sharma) Shortly after he gave me information to see an instructor in his office that did yoga classes. I met with her, was billed for it but never received any services. Then came this Mindful Meditation that was being pushed & when I said I checked into it & it's just not for me he was upset & extremely rude telling me that it wasn't a religious thing & I needed to incorporate that for continued treatment. I didn't know what to think? From that point on Mrs. Dr. Sharma was always condescending & extremely arrogant. Dr. Sharma was now uninterested, annoyed and dismissive. I confided in a staff member & was told he was under scrutiny from the FDA for writing pain scripts. Many other patients were wondering too if it was something they did also i was told. The pain meds business had nothing to do with me, But it did, It all came down to the almighty $$. My insurance wasn't the best but I always paid what was due even though there were many discrepancy's that could never quite be explained. I finally had enough after having to see his assistant that had to always have to go back & check everything with him which in turn took more time. There was 6-7 people now waiting in the office some standing for 1 Dr.? How far behind was he or how many people were they over booking? Were these people there to just their drug scripts? I don't know but I wasn't willing to be subjected to this so I found a new Dr. I have never been treated or talked to as he I was there & it's absolutely unacceptable & unprofessional. Move on!! read more

This doctor uses a medical billing company based in Merriville IN, they are the absolute worst company to deal with. They have screwed me around with my insurance billing and keep sending me bills for a visit from more than two years ago. Then trying to reach someone to resolve the issue is impossible, they never answer their phones they never return calls from messages and there is no way to resolve billing issues! Avoid this doctor at all costs else you will be paying off his astronomical fees for the rest of your life! With no help from your insurance because they screw up the billing! read more

He's a very nice doctor. He waited until 6 o'clock to see me because that was the earliest I could get there from Naperville all the way to Oak Forest. Luckily he helped me out with my issue I was having with my knee and he explain to me how to prevent this issue from happening again. He took out time and he didn't just see me in 2 minutes and then leave he spent the time to talk to me and explain to me everything before we left because I was his last patient. read more
