The administrative staff was professional, responsive, and compassionate, making a difficult time much easier to navigate. The nursing team treated my father with dignity, kindness, and genuine concern, while the PT/OT staff were knowledgeable, patient, and truly invested in his progress. The social worker was invaluable--guiding our family through care planning and next steps with clarity and empathy. The facility was exceptionally clean, well maintained, and well organized, and communication with our family was excellent throughout. Entrusting a loved one's care is never easy, but Burgess Square earned our complete confidence. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone seeking exceptional rehabilitation and senior care.

Someone from the facility threatened me, when I said I "should've taken pictures and videos". As a human, you get tired of the same routine, I get that. If someone is "not cut out to be part of the solution, to someone's life.......then don't become a burden upon them and make their problems larger". Yes the nurses are rude. The reviews before me, are factual. Sad part is, MOST nursing facilities are doing "cut-backs". They are cutting back on man-power and supplies. Yet they want the residents to tolerate the torture. Also, I've been told that 1-2 people "OWN MORE THAN 1 FACILITY". The name changes within facilities, the cut-backs, layoffs, extra upset employees and residents are due to "New Ownership". Now I sleep with a clean conscience. I empathize with the residents - unfortunately the Staff does not and they mock the residents, in their face. They don't hide their feelings about residents. I don't understand HOW you expect to take from someone's social security/medicare/medicaid/retirement fund to treat them horribly. Physical therapy and Nurses are JOKES !!

She arrived at BRIA on July 11 after having surgery for a broken femur. Her stay and rehab at BRIA lasted until August 22nd and, although that sounds like a long time, it was not unpleasant at all. She received great care and attention from all of her nurses, most notably, Victoria, Charles, Erika, Alvin and Josh. They were always pleasant and made my wife feel like they truly cared about her every day. The Nurse Assistants were wonderful and did all they could to make her stay more comfortable. Sosomma, Fatima, Jackie, Lincoln and Jasmine treated her as if she was their mother. They always found a way to engage in conversation and laugh at little things that happened during their day. My wife's Physical Therapist, Jen, was the best! She worked her hard but with a tremendous attitude and a lot of care. There were many other people at BRIA who usually don't get thanked but not by us. Emily was the young lady who came around every day to take the food order for the next day or two. She was the sweetest girl and my wife just loved talking to her when she came in to the room. The woman that cleaned my wife's room every day, Estella, was not only excellent and kept the room spotless, she was also friendly and made my wife feel even more comfortable. And Katrina, the evening receptionist at the front door, was always smiling and made you feel welcome at every visit. The Director, Ozzie Morales, was the consummate professional from the day I met him until the day my wife left. He always listened to any comment and made sure to remedy anything that caused us concern. He is a valued employee. As for the facility itself, it was always clean and had none of the smells that you might find at other places. My wife enjoyed leaving her room in the wheelchair and rolling down the hall where she met other patients, creating a more social atmosphere. The fact that I could bring our dog, Rudy, to visit every evening was a huge bonus and the staff and other patients really looked forward to his visits. About the only thing that was not 100% was the food, which could have been a little better, but if that's the only complaint, then BRIA Westmont is a winner! My wife has been at two other facilities in the past and neither one came close to her experience at BRIA. We would recommend BRIA Westmont to anyone who needs their services.

I have worked in healthcare for quite some time and NEVER had an experience like I did here. Staff is INSANELY abusive both verbally and physically. During my training, one of the workers smacked a patient. I couldn't believe my eyes. There was another staff member telling dementia patients on the 2 nd floor "shut up" or "shut the f&$k up" because they were screaming at him to get out of their room.. i wonder why!? I also witnessed a nurse get into a residents face and threaten to cut his private off. Telling him she was going to bite his finger off too and cursing at him just because he was confused and wanted to take a shower. Another cna was working with a combative patient and said "go ahead b$)ch hit me, I hit back" Another patient on hospice covered in bruises and the girl told me they have no idea what happened!! WHAT?! I didnt even finish my training I could not get out of there fast enough. I wanted to stay and be a gentle hand in a not so gentle place but I want no part of it. The management HAS to know the patients are being treated so poorly. My heart absolutely BREAKS for these people. I feel physically sick thinking about it. The place is also FILTHY. Ask for a full tour. Bathrooms in the rooms are moldy, toilets are never flushed or cleaned, feces everywhere. Trash everywhere. The rooms are all a mess. So dirty id be shocked if they dont have bugs and mice. your loved ones will get diaper changes once a shift, if that. There was a man wearing the same clothes for 5 days!!! So that means no shower? Just awful. Please dont send your loved ones here. The strive unit and downstairs might look halfway decent but im telling you, its not. And to the managers and staff that might read this, DO BETTER. If you dont have compassion and patience you are in the WRONG career field. It is SO easy to be loving and kind to these sweet people. I look at them like family. I get emotionally attached to my patients. The patients have liquor in their rooms and go outside at all hours of the night smoking. Its a complete free for all. Physical fights happen, police get called ect. A nursing home is a home, it should be a safe place for our elderly to spend the little time they have left to be NURSED and NURTURED. Not abused and neglected and have to see and hear complete chaos. This place absolutely needs to be shut down. The turnover rate is insane. They said the place is better than it used to be and they made a lot of changes. I cant imagine how much worse it could be. The management also lied during orientation saying they dont have psych patients and if people are combative they send them out? Dont let them fool you. They also said if you quit within 90 days they will charge you for your uniform. Oh well.

My mother ran down the hall to stop them and they told her they must have fallen out of his pocket. Well lo and behold they gave him back 4 of his 14 lollipops from the ambulance. Then, they left him in a soaking wet diaper. Then the air is broken in the room. It was so hot a Hershey bar was melting. My mother complained and she was told "the thermostat is broken how do you know the temp in the room"?? Also my father was done with his radiation. He gets oxygen so he can breathe. These people didn't hook the tube up to the oxygen tank so he could breathe. My mother had to go get the nurses quickly. The oxygen was just going through the room. Are you kidding me!? I'm furious af and I will be there today. Don't bother to respond to this email with your petty "call us" cus im coming in there today and I will not stand for this. Completely unacceptable. They not only provide excellent treatment to you, but they can also support you with merchandise that will help you practice your exercises at home so that you can progress faster. The office staff is also at the top of their game. They are friendly and helpful. Did I mention that they also have a sense of humor? When you walk in you are greeted with a smile and you know that people are happy to be there. Well, the staff is happy to be there. If you are going in for a massage, you are also probably happy to be there. I know I am! Since then my back has never felt the same and the imbalance caused a serious injury that has forced me to retire as a competitive athlete in a sport that was my whole life. My back will likely never be the same and I will require surgery in the future. If I could go back in time I would have never let Amy dry needle me, it is one of the biggest regrets of my life and will haunt me forever.
