Counter help is friendly, and you can't beat their enchiladas and 2 sides for $4. This place is packed every day for lunch.

The service at this location is horrible. The staff is so unfriendly. The only pleasant people are the kitchen staff.

As I had a really good experience with a recent vaccination, I came back to the same location after considering the other options. The pharmacist changes frequently so the previous guy I got was just there for a while. They will ask for insurance, verify coverage then come out to administer the shot in a room. The lady asked if I wanted shots on left, right or both arms. It was done quickly and a plaster applied. They give you a $10 off $20 CVS voucher per vaccination and also a pack of house brand popcorn. That was a nice incentive to choose CVS. The lady suggested two more vaccinations that were covered by insurance. One was abrysvo - rsv. The other was prenar - pneumonia. They were vaccinations you had to do just once. I decided to hold off and do my research. Two vaccinations in a row were enough. I did get side effects from the flu and covid shot. They were bodyaches, felt light bump on the injection site, felt hard to the touch the next day like boxed on left arm. Symptoms were gone on Day 3 except for a little round bump where the injection was. I got the pharmacist to write the vaccinations on the card, they didn't have the cards but could write it on a card where I had tracked prior vaccinations. It's super convenient but there is a wait time depending on the timing. It's good to get it done and over with.

She said "no you weren't. We checked." And she closed the window. This conversation happened at 6:01pm.

This store is the second refurbished convenience store to carry Hunt Brothers Pizza in the area,…read moreand it turns out they are owned by the same partnership. Hunt Brothers seems to want to compete with the big boys in pizza, so I thought I'd try ordering a full pizza from them. You can't do that through the website, though you can find the store and call them. I ordered a loaded pizza (everything on it) on thin crust, and got a fountain drink and a Chispas dessert with it. I went in this store once under its previous management and would not have gone back. Scary. But they have fixed the place up and it is very attractive and full of what you would normally look for at a convenience story. The update did not extend to the bathroom, which was a bit rough but I've seen worse at such places. The full size pizza is 12", but it's rectangular and I think they measure diagonally. It was cut into 16 little pieces (I think it was supposed to be eight, but that's OK). Their tiny pizza oven got it fully done and crunchy, which I like. For me it was a bit heavy on the banana pepper but YMMV. Cost is $11.99 and there are no coupon deals, so I would say for what you get it is somewhat on the expensive side and probably won't displace any favorites. But it was good enough that I wouldn't rule out picking up their single slices. Several were ready to go when I came in, as were condiments. The dessert was good, what you would expect for a packaged item and they had a very wide selection. The fountain was slightly sputtery but the drink tasted fine. Service was friendly. Kudos to these guys for taking washed up stores and making them reasonable places to shop again.

The bathrooms are above-average clean for a gas station and are very modern. It looks like a great place to buy beer--they have a selection equivalent to a grocery store and a dedicated walk-in cooler. The food is another story. I've seen the food well-stocked, but I went in at noon on a Saturday for something hot and was disappointed. They didn't have the chopped beef sandwich or sriracha burger that they advertised as a special. I think they were understaffed and didn't manage to stock. I ended up with a sausage on a stick and a choice off the roller grill. They did have a good variety there, including a breakfast sausage that was tempting, but in the end I went with a pepperoni pizza grilled sausage, with some "chili" and cheese from the dispensers. Gourmet food it was not, but actually not half bad. The sanitary conditions for the food were good. The buns were individually wrapped, and the drink cup lids were in dispensers that cut down on fingering the stack. They had two Freestyle machines, and both appeared to be working properly, which you can't take for granted. The gas is a bit above average in price, but it's convenient and I'm happy to patronize it.

After the rebranding, it looks like they have a commitment to having many choices on offer. There were sandwiches (hot and cold), burritos, egg rolls, chicken strips, and other choices joining the usual roller grill hot dogs. Those, by the way, were not available when I was there--not ready yet. I picked up a basket of chicken strips and potato wedges, some cookies, and a Polar Pop. It's convenience store food--nothing special going on, but it was very edible and reasonably fresh. The drink machine was working well, and they have lid dispensers that allow you not to touch other lids in the process of retrieving one. The cookies were not so good--still had Corner Store branding and may have been there since then. Stale. I did not finish. But overall it was fine. Service was decent, what with the store being busy. My clerk wore a mask, but the other did not. Overall it is fine, certainly an improvement.
