First impressions are everywhere. Parking lot was scattered with trash. Trash cans were overflowing. We make it into the store only to be greeted with loud rock music. No cashier in sight. Just needed to use the restroom and get a drink. Went to the bathroom and unfortunately the both men and womens restroom were just a dirty as the parking lot. Decided against using the facilities and walked out. We used to stop here all the time just passing through from Abilene to Dallas. I think we will just go to the shell station across the interstate next time. Oh as we were leaving one of the workers said have a great day very sarcastically. Like we wasted her time by coming in. Never coming back here. The cook with crazy hair and stupid grill was being a complete jerk and being very passive aggressive. He was also being rude to his coworkers and just had a bad attitude. Worst stop on our trip! The outside trash cans were all overflowing-trash and flies everywhere. No air conditioning inside and it was 92 degrees outside. THE RESTROOMS WERE DISGUSTING. Completely soaked floors in the men and women's, toilets were dirty and no toilet paper in several stalls. If you want to feel like you haven't showered in years, step right in! Yuck! read more

It is appalling the lack of urgency that the employees of this location offer. I chose to stop here after writing this place off because the place next door was so crowded. I regret it, and can assure you that you will be out performed every time by the location next to you with the way things run. Conversations that more than teeter on the line of in appropriate between the employees clearly ranks higher as a priority over taking care of the customers waiting. Finishing telling the cashier next to me about how terrible her boyfriend was last night, was far more important that the plastic bag that I needed to carry. Purchase out. Cigarettes and getting a chance to go catch a smoke was about the only thing that ranked higher in priority than gossip. It was also clearly more important that attending to the 8 people in line with one cashier. Also, there apparently needs to be a period of refocus and relaxation, followed by a minute or two of gossip post cig break before they are adequately prepared to alleviate the stress of only one cashier. I will not stop at this location again. This has been every visit. I would not recommend anyone to stop there either. read more

So I stopped by here to grab some gas and food on my way to Dallas. ---But while I was using the restroom, some worker was mopping and sprays mop water all over me and then slaps the mop on my feet. I said "dang you hit me" and he didn't apologize he just keeps mopping... So now I have mop water from the ground of the restroom all over my shoes, pants and shirt... Pulled in to use bathroom and get gas. This place is disgusting. Restrooms need serious attention. Fountain area had cups all over the floor, trash everywhere inside. The cabinet that holds fried food, needs a serious deep cleaning. I would give zero stars, but I can't. My husband said men's restroom had water all over the floor, trash was over flowing. Woman's restrooms where just as bad, all trashes over flowing, toilet paper on floors, and stalls backed up. They had plenty of workers, and not very busy. Someone could have stepped away to tend to the dirty ness. read more

Stripes are great convenience stores. Large and lots of choices. The little deli inside puts out some pretty good breakfast stuff and quick lunch stuff. Good gas prices and plenty of pumps. And let's not forget the most important thing, Cafe Canela coffee! Right Brenda? Great place to stop, either on the road, or in town. read more

Short and sweet. They have gas. They have food. If you need a pit stop, go for it. But service with a smile is another thing. When the customer says "hi" and the girl behind the counter just stares, things are a bit backwards. (I've been in this line of work. Smiles don't hurt anyone.) read more

For my job, I travel from Abilene To Dallas every day. I always stop at this Stripes to give my passengers a rest-room and snack break. You can't ask for better staff, in my humble opinion. I love the store; I love the Deli; I love the large canopy over the fuel stations and the fact that I never see overflowing trash cans or litter. The one problem I have is an infrastructure problem. This is my restroom break, and over the past few months, the restrooms are out of order a lot. For a time, they put port-a-potties outside the store while they repaired the plumbing. The odor emanating from that repair was nauseating, and sometimes you can still smell something like a mix between raw garbage and raw sewage. I hope they get this controlled soon, as this is a pleasant place to stop. The staff have been there forever. It is convenient, and prices are good. read more
