I picked up a white pair with a fun design that will be perfect for the summer. I asked hubby if he liked these bootie looking ones and we picked them up. See pictures below. The staff were super friendly and provided info about the sales and various styles. Honestly, you could go crazy with buying them for the various holidays and seasons. They even have flip flops now. Between decks, wheels, trucks, shoes, and clothes, I think you could find anything you wanted. I guess the thing to remember is that it isn't Walmart. You're going to pay more to get more. The owner goes on trips to determine what will best suit his customers. He seemed really reasonable (we had quite a chat), especially with the advice he was giving to someone who had never skated in her life. It wasn't about selling her $200 worth of gear that she would hate in 5 minutes. He tried to see what she wanted to do, and talked her through natural learning steps to get there. I think a lot of shops don't care. They just want to sell gear. It's kind of like one of those corny movies with the get-rich-quick team and the soul skaters/surfers who just care about the ride. This dude cares about the ride. Getting there is half the fun, correct? Parking is abundant off the main road, 2 hours at a time, which is better than most towns around here.

It ranges from touristy beach apparel to really cute dresses. And the prices weren't bad either. I got two dresses and a top for $100. A huge plus was that they had a lot of dressing rooms open. You can only take 6 pieces of clothing in at a time, but they'll hold some items for you until you're done trying on the others. The quality of the clothes seems decent, too. Everything was so cute I wanted to buy the whole store and had to quickly get out of there.

I'm always a size large but at Soma I'm always a size medium. I never fit in a medium from anywhere else. Also- if you have some booty and tend to get wedgies and panty lines from poorly made underwear- I highly recommend the vanishing edge high leg panties. They are a bit expensive but well worth it if you hang dry them. I've had some pairs for over 7 years. Definitely worth a visit if you decide to hit the Jersey Shore Outlets :)

A younger gentleman named Andy came out, I told him what I was looking for. He started on the clearance rack (surprisingly) but I did not like the cut of what he had in my size. His boss (Nina?) walked over and said Calvin Klein is on sale and it had the slimmer fit I was looking for. While we waited, the place got mobbed with kids coming in for prom tuxes. Andy did not venture off, he stayed with me. Helped me find what I needed and I was comfortable with. Nina weighed in and offered some alterations. They weren't pushy, they were funny and professional. A super nice experience all around.
