In my training for a 50k, my training partner and I were looking for any way to rehab and recover from long runs and workouts. Nearing our 40s, our bodies don't bounce back like they once did. We both went to StretchLab on a few different occasions to focus heavily on all parts of our legs, but also emphasis on thoracic rotation and upper body mobility as well. Big shout out my trainer/stretcher Alex, who was always a pleasure to talk to. He really knows his stuff, and I felt very comfortable working with him. He would ask informed questions about my training, and was able to help pinpoint areas that I needed some extra work to really maintain full range of motion. I am happy to report: no injuries during my big run, and I felt like I can chalk that up to the entire training regimen, including the importance of rest and rehab - stretching being an integral part. When my son confronted them on it they said there was nothing they could to about it. Now, my youngest is getting older and wants to go to the gym with me. He is 14. I should be able to take him with me because I have guest privileges. But no! You can't bring your kids... they have to be at least 16 years old. But don't worry, you can buy them their own membership at 14 years old, you just can't bring them as a guest. Again these people are dishonest. I was fed some line about waivers and policy. It's is what it is. Dishonest salesmanship and all about money.

I then went on a 2 week camping trip where I re-injured my shoulder. After 4 weeks of physical therapy with Dr. Short, it's as good as new! He is amazing at explaining how injuries happen, and what can be done to avoid injury. He's friendly, knowledgeable, and wants to alleviate your pain.
