Walking in I was honestly super intimidated -- the machines look terrifyingly confusing and everyone looks like they know what they are doing, so naturally I was shaking in my boots not knowing what to expect. However, upon walking in I was greeted with smiles and they took me to my machine to show me a few of the moves and how to operate it before it started. I had a little card with my name on it welcoming me, a sweat towel, and a free boxed water. I had to buy grippy socks at the front desk because I didn't have any (& didn't know I needed them) that were about $15. They had me placed next to a gal who was a pro at PLNK, and thank goodness they did otherwise I would have been absolutely lost. Once the clock starts, there is no stopping. The instructor is always super clear on giving step by step directions to follow so you can understand even if you've never done it before. There are mirrors all around the room, so worst case scenario you can just look at the reflection & see what others are doing and follow suit. Olivia was my instructor for the first PLNK class ever, and she crushed it (or me? Well.. both). The next morning my abs were so sore I couldn't sit up in bed.. literally. I was d e c e a s e d. I really like Pilate-type movements because it's more gentle on the joints, but I don't like the ease or pace of Pilates which is why I love PLNK so much. It is easy on the joints but also has resistance to grow and tone your muscles & get you in amazing shape in no time. This is the first group class I have ever genuinely enjoyed AND seen results from (I have tried many yall.. so that's a big statement for me). The instructors are sweet and the facility is spotless and clean. You will love your experience here!! Tanya and Olivia are definitely the hardest, I haven't been to all the instructors yet but Meghan is awesome for first timers! Your first class is free, try it out!!! TIPS : - they will probably put you next to someone who is well versed in PLNK so you can have a constant guide next to you. Feel free to ask them to do it as well if you're really concerned! - buy your grippy socks before on Amazon if you want to save a few bucks - watch a few YouTube videos on the megaformer before you take your first class to give you an idea of what you'll be doing - stretch prior to your class - don't be scared, you'll do great!!

I wish the instructor spent a little more time helping me. It was a bit overwhelming, but that may also be a normal reaction considering it was my first time. Class overall is very fast paced. People's choices to decline service need to be handled by them the customer responsibly. The managers and staff treat me with respect and are genuine for the most part. Make sure you know what you want and stick to it. If you change your mind after signing a contract then just drive in and handle it like a mature adult. The only thing i can say turns me off is they are pushing a lot of technology like heart monitoring or 3d body scan (no i really don't want a rendering of my dad bod). Stick with the basics and you will be satisfied. They are trying too hard to sell you on styku scans or massage chairs or tanning. Just focus on basics for me. Currently only one of four rooftop air conditioners are working . The second floor and locker rooms are stuffy. I was told on facebook over a week ago that they are aware of the issue. The repair will require an outside service contractor. Genesis is very slow to bring in outside service contractors when the Genesis maintenance is unable to make repairs. As a former maintenance manager it's very disappointing to me. If I waited this long to get something repaired, I would have been fired.

My first class at RHO, I got a very warm welcome as a "guest from Seattle". That totally set the tone for my 3 visits I ended up doing. The coaches were great and the crew was meter motivated as I am. I envied the spaciousness of the studio, plenty of space to get your erg on. Overhead fans keep the air moving and the lobby is full of celebration milestones, which is different than I'm used to. RH is really an excellent fitness outlet for all ages, shapes, and sizes. While we're all one stroke/one boat, each person in the crew is choosing their own adventure for what they're trying to accomplish with their erg. Thanks Omaha!! See you on my next visit.

They had everyone inside in the audience wear masks, so I appreciate that they were being conscientious of the pandemic. They also provided a few free beverages during intermission an outdoor fire show. The only thing I would say would be the chairs were pretty uncomfortable. But I understand folding chairs are very easy to put out and clean back up.

They offer auto belay and top rope options--they do have bolts for leading too (short, 3-bolt routes). Additionally, they also have an area dedicated to just bouldering. The staff are always friendly and helpful. You'll occasionally see the owner with her dogs, too! Pricing is very reasonable and on par with most climbing gyms. If you plan on coming in during the week, pre book your climbing session online for a really great discount! Also, they do offer rental gear if you need it--shoes, harness, and chalk are all available. And you can also buy some gear if you're ready to commit. The only reason why I'm rating them 4 stars instead of 5 stars is because a lot of their intermediate and higher routes are reachy and there's not a short-person beta built into them. Even with this though, they are still the best public climbing gym in the Omaha/Lincoln metros!

It is probably more suited for kids aged five and up but my two year old (and 10 month old) were still happy to explore. The gym has a nice energy with vending machines with healthy snacks and people of all ages climbing. They offer punch cards for kids and trying out the gym is very reasonable (was $7 for us today). We will definitely add it to our rotation of cold weather Omaha activities for active kids! It is also nearby a few good Asian restaurants (Dumpling Empire and Korea Gardens).

Living in the Aksarben/Midtown area, I feel like we're in a little bit of a gym desert. While this…read moreGenesis location is convenient, it's unfortunately outdated and rundown. I went here first back in 2012 when it was the original Aspen, and about 90% of it is still the same. They finally got some new cardio equipment (previously, about half didn't even work) and a few new weight options, but that's about all that's been done. It just feels run down and dirty, including that old low-pile carpet on the gym floor that I'm not sure when it's ever been cleaned. There doesn't seem to be a lot of accountability with their staff. I've seen some of the trainers using it as their playground, many without shoes (which is a club rule to wear them). I've also seen some of the exercises and lifts they've allowed their clients to do, poor form and unsafe. I would not trust many of the trainers here. There have also been multiple times where the person opening wasn't there so I'm up at 5am for nothing. I do want to caveat that some of the front desk staff, a few trainers I know have been there for a while and a few of the group class teachers are nice and know what they're doing, but these other bad actors have left a bad taste in my mouth and make me question the standards that upper management holds. I might consider going back when they renovate the place, but who knows when that will be. Plus I'm sure the price will go way up then since it would be a "premium club." They've noted that it's "on the list" which is their excuse to not fix other things now. There's one sink in the women's locker room that has been unusable for over 2 years. I don't use the showers, but other members have expressed them not working well or even at all some times. We plan to be residents of this area of town for a long time, and I hope to see solid improvements here in the near future so we can enjoy this convenient gym again.
