Perks are long season, ability to bring adult beverages, ideal pool temp, typically ample availability of chairs and limited concession stand. You can also bring up to 5 guests. Downside is we found the rules to be a little loose which was challenging- kind of a free for all near the diving board and slide, no rules about pushing, running, flipping off the sides, squirt guns, etc. with very young kids that may create some stress and there were a few times we were simply annoyed. We overall enjoyed the season and amenities that came with a private pool membership and plan to do it again next year.

We would physically go to the building during said hours and find the doors locked, parking lot empty, and nobody answering the door. 2. Additional services requested not provided. As well as just renting the building, you could get decorations, A/V, coffee urn, etc. We wanted the audio/visual stuff and told them. They never turned it on. 3. When we told them we decided not to have alcohol, they left some very nasty voicemails threatening to shut down the wedding if they searched someone or their car (?!) and found alcohol in there and possibly call the cops. This was after we had simply told them their security price was out of our budget. 4. Of course no management searched anyone because why would they be there then when they aren't there any other time? 5. Half of the plants in the building were dead. 6. Of course they "found" alcohol anyway, even though our wedding was very small and nobody would do that after we explicitly asked them not to.

I used to attend this…read moregym back in my high school days, but returning as an adult I can see just the hub of community that it has become. The variety of having a pool, a basketball court, a running track, lifting areas, cycling rooms, workout classes for members and guests, and more makes it optimal for all types of active people. The front desk staff is attentive and kind, very helpful if you need anything. The staff working the weights floor is mostly young teens, but they regularly clean and are available when needed. I have taken a few workout classes and absolutely loved it! There is a great amount of high quality equipment that is provided, and the space itself is very clean. Floor to ceiling mirrors allowed me to see my form, and to face the opposite way and still see the instructor. The instructor herself was friendly and uplifting, and kept the workout class moving while still ensuring we all understood each movement and what we were working. The staff came in and cleaned our mats afterwards, which is reassuring! The locker rooms are very clean and spacious in my opinion. There is always free space, and also three mirrors with vanity space if you need to get ready after your workout. There are also three showers, and an ADA friendly option as well. I highly recommend Common Ground if you are in need of a family friendly gym with plenty of variety and clean, updated, facilities!

Tiburon Golf Club - Omaha, NE…read more We had one of the first tee times of the day at Tiburon Golf Club, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The greens were in excellent shape--smooth, fast, and clearly well-maintained. The course overall was in great condition, with clean fairways and nicely manicured surroundings. You can tell the staff puts a lot of pride into keeping the place looking and playing great. We played the Hammerhead and Mako nines, and both offered a fun and unique layout with some great hole variety. It's pretty cool that Tiburon has 27 holes, which gives players some variety and keeps things interesting if you return for another round. The staff was friendly and welcoming, which always makes the day better. The pro shop really stood out to me--they had a surprisingly wide selection of merchandise, with sizes ranging from XS all the way up to 3X. The GPS-equipped carts were a nice touch, although ours seemed a little off and probably just needed a quick recalibration. Not a big deal, but something worth mentioning for future rounds. Overall, Tiburon is definitely worth checking out if you're in the Omaha area. Great conditions, friendly service, and a course that offers both challenge and fun.
