A noticeable tension Blair had had to balance is the crowd size. Some days the place is swarming with people, both in the main swimming pool area and the "kiddie pool" area. So come early and claim a spot, or be prepared to put some money down for a swim at the YMCA down the street. This situation made the gym feel uncomfortable and no longer like the safe space it once was for me and my family. What has been most disappointing is how everything was handled. I did not feel that my concerns were taken seriously, and ultimately I was the one who had to leave and cancel my membership after many years. I understand that personal situations can be complex, but when they affect members' comfort and trust, I believe they should be handled with greater care and accountability. Because of this experience, I would encourage others to carefully consider what kind of environment they're looking for when choosing a gym.
