Came to pick up a family friend from camp with my own newborn and toddler in tow. After waiting in the carpool line I pulled up and proceeded to load them In. A young lady told me I can't stop but to just be quick so I continued. I'm not sure how you safely put kids in the car without stopping, so i didn't realize this was problematic. The next lady that approached me was extremely rude yelling at me that I can't do this and she's going to report it. I let them know I don't the system, but if they tell me a better option I would be happy to do it. There was no reason to be that rude. Politely offering a more appropriate solution would've been sufficient. Instead this lady was aggressive with me as I was juggling two toddlers and a newborn in the Texas summer heat. The last thing I wanted to do was slow down the line, but being nasty about it when the first young lady told me it was ok feels like her anger was misplaced. Unacceptable.

Very clean facility, water on hand if you forgot your own and coffee. The gym has a spin room and a separate room for their many classes which include, body pump, yoga, Zumba, pilates, strength training, women only classes on hand and over 60 classes as well and many more. There is a monthly schedule listed online. I believe with the membership you also have access to the pool and they do have classes. The downfall is that they don't have a ton of evening classes for working folks, but there are some options. Most classes are in the morning to early afternoon. Overall I am very happy with this gym. Honestly, I have never worked with someone as amazing as Starr!…read more First off everyone worries about finances when looking for the right trainer---LA trainers can be so expensive! Looking around on all websites trying to find a budget friendly personal trainer for someone who is a full time employee and a full time student was hard. Then I found Starr. She has the lowest prices you can find around. Now to the important stuff.....When I first started training with Starr I never thought I would have the motivation I did to being as healthy as I am today. She pushed me to do so much on days I didn't even want to raise an arm. From day one she told me step by step everything we are going to be doing and what each exercise or move benefits. I went from wearing baggy t-shirts to being confident enough to show off my arms and wear shirts that are not 3 times big on me. Starr really cares about her clients. She does her best to make you feel comfortable, which isn't too bad considering for the most part it's just you and her so you don't feel the pressure of people around and staring or if you're doing something wrong. She makes the workouts work for you depending on what your body needs and your individual goals. Patient, understanding, kindhearted, motivating, and fun to work out with....all of these are the positive aspects of Starr and how she is towards all of her clients. Not to mention she can kick that punching bag!! (and teach you how to do it with ease as well). I was and am so excited to continue working with Starr on the multiple workouts and the kickboxing sessions!!!

The floor work has improved my balance & flexibility have improved greatly. I've enjoyed most of the classes I've taken, although intervals kicked my butt a little too much. When I move, I will be looking for a similar set up, but doubt I will find anything I've enjoyed as much as these workouts. The class format has kept me committed to a schedule & I love how the changes in intensity & tempo keep it from being too repetitive. Coaches develop their playlists, so the music is always changing. I cannot recommend this place enough. Thank you Row House! I'm sad to leave.

She really explained each workout thoroughly and helped me with my form/balance on some of the exercises. I really liked that everyone was very inviting and the space is kept clean and organized. This class was for all levels and you can change the weights on the reformer if you would like to have more of a challenge during your workout. Since it was my first time, I kept the recommended weight and I feel like some workouts were more difficult to do than others. I think this class was a good workout to do to stay active! I get the hype of pilates now and might try it again sometime! The only con of this place is unfortunately the parking but that's with most places in Houston. The parking lot is shared with multiple businesses that reserve their spots only for their shop. There is parking that is not reserved for anything but the spots are very tight. There is also parking on the side of Defy but it is a little tricky in finding out how to get to the spot. I was able to find a spot in the parking lot but my friend had to park on the side. When I checked in, the ladies at the front were able to give me directions for my friend so that she can find how to get to the parking so just ask beforehand! Overall, my friend and I really enjoyed our experience and will definitely add pilates into our workout rotation! Thank you so much Hannah and Defy for a great experience (:
