I visited Evolution Fitness many times during my last visit to Vienna, Va and really enjoyed using their facilities. The folks were friendly, the place was clean and wasn't too crowded (of course I didn't visit during the early pre-work rush). The facilities included eight treadmills, four ellipticals, four recumbent bikes, four upright bikes and two rowing machines (concept 2 model D). If I still lived in the area I would be a member! Since I don't live there I am glad they have a daily rate for when I visit.

That was the best decision I made postpartum - I've lost about 12 pounds already. But far more importantly - Paulo has helped me regain my physical strength and mental confidence. Luckily, he was flexible and let me come at the end of March. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by Isaac, who was extremely friendly and informative. We went through the entire walk through, and on my 2nd visit, he went over the prices. The only thing I didn't like is that they take down all the information from our Driver's License even if it's just a trial. Since this is considered a boutique gym, the classes are the main focus and driver for memberships. They get crazy busy and packed, but are only held at certain times of the day..and not Friday evenings. The classes include (but with different names): yoga, boxing, cycling and CS4. I was only able take one class--Ride with Lauren--and WOW it was fun and vibrant! I came back another day for leg day to try out the equipment. I was very fascinated by the TechnoGym equipment--beautiful, unique machines and all in pristine condition. There were SO MANY options for upper, lower, cardio, etc. Additionally, there is a separate cross fit area, where they hold classes and it is open to members. There is a recovery section, which includes compression sleeves, cryotherapy and massage chairs, which are convenient but I believe separate from the monthly gym membership. Also, there is a spa, whcih is definitely 3rd party and not included in the monthly membership. There is 2 hour parking available in the garage, which is validated at the front desk.

I personally went in multiple times to resolve the issue, and every visit was met with excuses, incompetence, or outright dismissal. Instead of fixing their mistake, they escalated the situation and threatened to send my account to collections for charges I never owed in the first place. This place operates like a scam. Avoid it unless you enjoy being ignored, overcharged, and harassed. My experience with this facility has been unacceptable and deeply frustrating. Despite canceling my membership within the designated grace period, I continued to receive charges. I visited the location several times to address the issue, yet the staff failed to take corrective action and allowed the unauthorized billing to continue. The situation escalated to the point where they threatened to refer my account to a collection agency for charges that should never have existed. This reflects a serious lack of accountability and customer care. I strongly advise others to avoid this establishment to prevent similar issues. This place is a complete rip-off. I canceled my membership on time, but they kept billing me anyway. No matter how many times I went in to fix it, they refused to stop the charges and even threatened to send me to collections for THEIR mistake. It's outrageous, unethical, and absolutely unacceptable. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this location unless you want to be overcharged, ignored, and bullied.

My friend and I recently attended a Reformer 1/2 class with Nancy Bright and left feeling humiliated and embarrassed. She was aggressive and dismissive, especially toward students unfamiliar with classical pilates, but familiar with contemporary pilates, which she deems as "not real pilates." Instructions were not explained, and solely used terminology. When we didn't immediately understand, she scolded us, showed frustration, and PHYSICALLY FORCED our bodies into the positions she wanted. These positions were often uncomfortable and borderline painful, with no attempts or offers of modifications. She even made a remark that she knew she was "manhandling" us. Egregiously, when she was unhappy with my plank and was frustrated, I did not understand how she wanted me to fix it, she SLAPPED MY BUTT REPEATEDLY and repeated what she wanted me to do as if that would suddenly make me understand. She even admitted to slapping previous students' butts to "get their attention." As someone new to Pilates, I felt unsafe, embarrassed, and extremely humiliated. I had high expectations based on positive reviews, but this experience has left me so unsettled that I will not be returning.
