Visit 9/10/2017 9/15/2018 Its been a year and I do see some new staff members but I still see some of the original, which tells me that they are doing somethings right behind the scene as well. (I like to see familiar faces ) It seems like members have caught on to cleaning equipment more consistently when I go, the facility is still very clean and I notice staff are cleaning the machines when I am in during the early mornings. I am very happy still one year in. Still have a happy teen as well...he has actually upgraded his membership so that he can bring friends with him now. Facility is clean, bright and inviting, not intimidating. No one bothers you. Staff are friendly and you can ask them questions. Bathrooms are well maintained (very clean ladies!) Parking lot is well lite in the early mornings, I feel very safe, cameras outside so I can see my car in the parking lot while I work out (you know car break ins at the gym are a common thing..don't let anyone tell you different!) No TV's on the treadmills, but I actually like the TV's overhead better so I can watch the multiple channels and switch between them!

Update: There are several machines where only 1 exist for the whole gym to share. And there's no…read moreplace to hang the mats, they're just being tossed in a corner (safety hazard?). This is really poor design.

WSA Fitness practices bait and switch advertising. I saw an ad for a 6 week challenge on Instagram…read morewhich seemed intriguing and potentially fun. Of course, the ad was a bit misleading. Surprise, surprise. Now I don't mind paying for personal training or classes but they wanted a total of $699 up front as a "bet" that I would potentially get back if I lost, in my case, 5% of my body weight within the six weeks. First, pretty sure this joint doesn't have a gambling license. Second, they don't let you choose your personal goal or the amount you want to bet. This amount is ludicrous for a six week class and most people can't exactly afford to risk to lose that amount or even forfeit it for an amount of time. I didn't get to try the gym as my common sense had me walk out of that "orientation" but from what I saw it looked pretty dead and empty. They definitely have some shady business practices and need to be more up front in their ads.

The owners JD and Troy are so welcoming and friendly and they seem to remember everyone. I got recommendations on wraps, gloves, etc. when I decided I wanted to really get into this. I go 1-2x a week and have really enjoyed getting into a new sport/hobby. The coaches are just the right amount of serious and goofy to keep people learning but also having fun. They do a good job of managing varying class sizes with people at all different levels. I've met a lot of other nice and welcoming members of the gym through the classes too. People of all different ages and backgrounds come here so it's always very diverse with who you are working out around. But everyone seems to fit in and get the attention they need in order to improve their skills. The first class is free so I definitely recommend checking this place out!
