Love this place. I started coming here around Feb of this year. My background for the last 9 years is in weightlifting and powerlifting comps so this was a big change for me. The owners JD and Troy are so welcoming and friendly and they seem to remember everyone. I got recommendations on wraps, gloves, etc. when I decided I wanted to really get into this. I go 1-2x a week and have really enjoyed getting into a new sport/hobby. The coaches are just the right amount of serious and goofy to keep people learning but also having fun. They do a good job of managing varying class sizes with people at all different levels. I've met a lot of other nice and welcoming members of the gym through the classes too. People of all different ages and backgrounds come here so it's always very diverse with who you are working out around. But everyone seems to fit in and get the attention they need in order to improve their skills. The first class is free so I definitely recommend checking this place out! read more

Unboxed is my first gym experience. I've always been hesitant to join a gym, despite needing the extra workouts and motivation, out of fear of judgement, lack of instruction, and not knowing what to do with equipment, etc. Unboxed completely shattered those concerns. Troy and Alison are phenomenal; you'll sweat as much as you laugh some days. You'll push yourself; you'll change your body and mentality about fitness; and you'll have fun. The classes are small so everyone gets individual coaching and they're both great about showing you how to modify exercises to work for your current fitness level or to adjust them to account for physical limitations (e.g., bad knees, arthritis, etc.). I highly recommend Troy's Combo Box classes. The stress release and cardio are insane. I look forward to it every week. And Alison's circuit training is no joke. She's also a great nutrition consultant providing real feedback for sustained healthier eating habits. read more

I have been training at Unboxed for the past 7 months and have seen and felt the change in my physique, strength, and endurance because of the great workouts. I usually hop between different fitness locations based on what I can find on Groupon so going to one place consistently is unusual for me. The individualized attention, the welcoming community, and the challenging workouts keep me going back to Unboxed. Troy is an awesome coach who pays attention to the interests and needs of each and every client. He varies the workouts to make them interesting and challenging so you are doing new moves and working different muscles all the time. He also makes sure that your form is correct and provides modifications as needed. As someone who is new to boxing, I have become particularly hooked on the Combo Box classes. Unboxed is the best! Troy and Alison challenge you and push you to achieve your goals. With small group training, you know you're using proper form because the coaches always have an eye on you. This gym has changed my life. Boxing has become such a passion and release for me. Troy is by far the best trainer you'll ever encounter. He has taken my fitness to greater levels than I ever imagined. He has infiltrated discipline and a confidence that I never thought was possible.
