I The club is nice but my experience of having true access to tennis league has not been good. I have tried to get into leagues and always told on a regular basis that they are full but somehow , I have met people who I play tennis with at other people who manage to get into the leagues. I play 3.5 tennis I should not have a problem getting into leagues at my own club. I am told to get on the sub list. I pay for full access to all clubs, when it comes to playing tennis the Racquet club and athletic clubs seem to be full. When it comes to renting courts, and doing live ball, I have no problem with those services because I am paying extra for them. I know that the league has fees too. Unfortunately , I live in Arkansas , I learned that the tennis culture is not the best, very selective from my experience when it comes to tennis and of the limited access of indoor courts in the state does not help . I would strongly recommend that you ask about all access before joining . This people will not change trust me .

Long review: This is a review of his one on one training, I believe he now has classes or group training as well. I can't compare Jake to other trainers, he's the first and hopefully only one I'll need. But I have to say he exceeded every expectation I had, not only with his effort but with MY results. I don't normally write reviews but Jake helped change my life for the better, so I felt compelled to get on here and let everybody know. I'm a middle aged professional and was carrying too much extra weight, about 55 lbs over, obviously not real active with a poor diet, with the health problems that went with them. I heard Jake talking about health and exercise on a local radio program and figured I didn't have a lot to lose if I gave his services a try. I had already blown a bunch of money on unused gym memberships, equipment at home, dvds, etc. with no results. I won't go into all the details, everybody's workout will probably be tailored to them, but Jake wasn't really what I expected. He didn't yell at me, didn't stress me out. It was ok if I failed sometimes. He gave me dietary suggestions that I could live with, and always followed up and held me accountable. He doesn't nag, he truly motivates. I think what surprised me the most was that Jake truly seemed to care about my progress/health; he was absolutely delighted with my successes. Not a show, he was so damned genuine. I never felt like I was doing this by myself, it felt like we were doing it together. I don't know if he loves his clients, loves making people healthy, feels like our success is his victory or what. Whatever it is you can tell he loves what he does. I guess going into it I expected that I would be hiring some meathead to yell at me and that I might take off 5 or 10 pounds. What I got instead was somebody that really cared and inspired me to go the distance. I was able to get off my blood pressure meds and enjoy life a lot more. Even though I moved out of the area I still consider Jake "my trainer", still feel like he's on my team, and I check in from time to time so that he knows I'm still walking the walk. If you made it this far in the review it should be painfully obvious that I think you would be hard pressed to find anybody anywhere that can do the fitness coaching thing better than Jake Snowden. Central Arkansas is lucky to have someone of his caliber.

This place is as good as it gets. I'm no pro, but I've been to a few boxing gyms (and dozens of…read morefitness studios), and I've never seen a place that matches Straightright in quality of workout, instructors, price, and general vibe. Here's why: Environment: As someone who was fairly new to boxing, going to a non-chain gym was a little intimidating. Even walking in was a little scary! But that feeling didn't last long - within minutes of me walking in I was being helped by instructors and students alike with my wrapping. These are definitely some of the friendliest and most welcoming people I know. Just downright nice people! Quality of workout: Throughout the class (Total Body Fitness) I felt like I was getting personal attention and that - most of all - I was learning how to box safely and with the right technique. The class was also HARD!!!! I am someone who likes fairly intense workouts, and this one left me out of breath and excited to come back. I also love that the gym offers an introductory boxing class for newbies so we can learn the proper form and technique. Price: After attending the first introductory class, I think you get 1-2 classes free. At this point, I've been to 3 total body fitness classes and definitely will be coming back every time I am in town. All in all - I'm sad that I moved to Dallas because now I have to find a place as good as this one! Happy my in-laws live in Little Rock so I have an excuse to come back and box here :).

This gym has several different programs, some for adults, some for children. They also provide…read morenutrition classes and 1:1 personal training, but I stick with CrossFit classes which I just recently started doing here and I'm loving it! There were numerous things preventing me from starting sooner, for example, age, being out of shape, old injuries and frankly I didn't want to work out around a bunch of 'roid-ragers...people acting cocky and throwing weights around, etc. I was feeling shy about trying and not really knowing what CrossFit is and worried that my advanced age would cause some judgement from others. Boy was I surprised! This place couldn't be any further from what I envisioned...a good lesson about not letting worry get in the way of my best life. It's non-judgey, family-friendly, in fact whole families workout together, and there aren't any 'roid-ragers. Further, everyone competes against their own personal best. There are a wide range of people who workout here, some extremely fit, some more fluffy, some with injuries, but everyone is trying. In addition to Coach Nikki and Coach Ricky -- who help explain the exercises and best postures for movement and to prevent injury -- everyone else is super helpful and fun to talk with, too. I waited a few years too many to get back into working out. If you're even considering getting in shape or staying in shape, you should visit. CrossFit is only $75 a month. They have an after-school program for the kids that keeps them socialized, fit and in shape, and they will pick up at some of the local schools. There are also speciality programs for kids to improve in specific areas, such as baseball. If you're tired of sitting on the couch looking at your phone, and/or thinking you should be working out, you should try CrossFit, it's way more fun than I thought it would be. Just make one visit, you'll see. They have classes at 3 or 4 different times a day, so one of those should work with your schedule. The class times I'm sure about include, 5 and 6:30 am and 5 pm, but I believe there may be a 6 pm class too. Once you sign up, you gain access to an app that lists all the workouts in advance so you know what to expect. The app shows someone performing the task and it makes it really easy to document your progress ...after familiarization...it takes about 1 minute to document what you've accomplished, then you have a baseline for your personal best and you compete against yourself from there. Also, there are online resources to watch someone else do the exercise to standard if you just don't feel like you're getting it. The added benefit is that this is right downtown, so it's probably within a 10-15 minute drive of many of the homes in Cabot. Hope to see you there!
