I have recovered well from both a knee and shoulder replacement, one following the other in a few months, and had therapy with Kris before and after the procedures. My husband is dealing with a chronic condition requiring therapy over a long period and Kris has provided wonderful support and assistance to him. I cannot say enough about Kris' responsiveness, encouragement, and very calm demeanor. He listens well to all our concerns freely offering helpful suggestions. Marcus, Jordan and John have been very helpful as well seeing to it that we are being cared for. This Twin Boro facility offers an efficient and friendly environment where everyone seems willing to pitch in. The office staff including Anastasia, Jan, Stephanie and Nicole are always friendly and willing to work with us and our changing schedules. Twin Boro in Clark and especially Krisstoffer Abarabar are winners in our book and have been great assets in our treatment. Ken and Phyllis C.

1st appointment great, then it went downhill from there. 6…read moresessions total. They overbook and under deliver. There were several times when there were 6-10 patients there with only 1 or 2 physical therapists. The PT assistants were not good. They would approach me and ask "what exercises did you do last time"? Never checking my file or consulting with my "PT". I also thought that the staff had excessive conversations with each other about sports, places to eat and their weekends. I felt like I was at a "frat party" several times. Unprofessional in my opinion. They did not focus on the patients. They were quick to assign several exercises and then leave you to do them never supervising or checking if you were doing the exercises correctly. In addition, loud music was playing every time I was there ...the manager constantly changing it and checking in with the staff to see if they liked it. Really? The last appointment I had was a Friday at 3. There were 7 patients there while a baby shower (or some sort of party) going on during business hours!!!!!! All PT's and assistants were enjoying the party while we were sitting there for over 15 minutes waiting to start out session - SO UNPROFESSIONAL! I shared this with my Ortho Doctor and he said this was the only place he herd "not so good" things about this palce.

The staff is very attentive, always making sure to accommodate any personal needs and physical limitations. The location is easy to park at and the inside is always clean and tidy. In fact the aides walk around and clean every table after it's used to make sure it's 100% sanitary. I paid through insurance, but the costs did not need seem high, especially considering the high quality of care. They are also open late many nights (until 9pm) so it's a fantastic option for NYC commuters and those with busy schedules. My physical therapist was Nicole who is moving to the Summit location. I highly recommend her - she's incredibly friendly and great to work with. Always takes the time to walk through stretches or workouts as many times as you need. She also explains the technical elements of your therapy in terms everyone can understand which makes you feel in control of your recovery/PT. I really don't think you can go wrong with any of the physical therapists here. They are all incredibly welcoming and helpful, even if you aren't their client. I was treating a 5-year old sprain and had seen 3 doctors and a physical therapist before, but after ~3 months with ProCare my pain is gone, my balance is back, and I feel completely in control of my previously fragile ankle. Thank you!!

Why do physical therapy places always start out strong then fizzle?…read more Seems to be a trend here in New Jersey. My appointment was during a time there were four other patients, so I didn't get much one on one care, rather left to do exercises on my own for most of the time. I found myself being ignored and only did a few stretches with a physical therapist. This, I can do at home, I didn't need to waste an hour of my time. I get it, my issue is minor compared to others who seemed much worse off, but I still had an issue that needs to be resolved. By the grace of a higher power, I've been using an acupressure mat that was taking the pressure off my very tight calves and centralizing the pressure to my lower back. The issue I came here for originally is GONE! (Sensations in my foot, radiating from a nerve in my back). Interesting the physical therapist said this issue would never go away, but it did, thanks to that acupressure mat I started using a few days ago after a long hike with many hills. This morning I was doing exercises I haven't done in years and felt amazing, thanks to the acupressure mat that took the pressure off my calves. Now I know what the problem was and can easily zoom in on it. Anyway, my recommendation for anyone who needs a physical therapist, go to someone who works one-on-one if you have a minor injury. They tend to favor those with more serious injuries and ignore others. I've seen this here and in other physical therapy places too.

When I first started coming here, I had little to no hope of getting use of my arm and leg back. Judy, Megan, and Bill, the physical therapists, all believed I would be able to get most, if not all, of my range of motion and strength back. They motivated me to push myself every session and kept me on track to even on the days I felt too weak or out of it to even try. As a result of their persistent encouragement, my leg is now 100% back to full capability and my arm is well on its way too, although having another surgery set my timeline back a bit for my arm. The entire team mentioned above, as well as Greg, Laura, and Emily, really know what they are doing. They make sure to adjust your workouts to your comfort level, and explain each exercise as you progress. I am extremely impressed with their professionalism and the amount of effort they give each individual person they treat to get them as far as possible in their recovery. But it all begins with your experience as you walk in. Shannon, who does most of the scheduling, organizing and a whole lot of other things behind the scenes around the office, is extremely kind and always a joy to see when you first walk into the office! She always has a smile on her face and is always willing to help you out with whatever you need. Thanks to this amazing team, I am able to continue my career in the military and my job in the civilian world which both require a lot of physical capability. I high recommend this facility and the staff!

In May 2024, after intensive cancer radiation therapy, I had severe back pain and my insurance company, Aetna, recommended several In-network PT clinics, and I chose Excel, a division of IVY rehabilitation. After two helpful sessions in which I paid the required In-network co-pay, there was a kerfuffle about whether the assigned therapist was In or out of network which would have impacted my financial responsibility for the sessions. Thankfully, it appeared that the matter was resolved as In-network, and I moved on. Fast-forward to January 2026 and Ivy rehab reneged on accepting my insurance and invoiced me for several hundred dollars and threatens to ruin my credit rating by moving to collection if I don't pay now, 19 months later. Soul crushing! Even the Excel clinic director petitioned to have this invoice quashed but was denied by Ivy rehabilitation headquarters. Therefore beware, even if Ivy rehab accepts your insurance today, they may crush your soul a year or even two years later. BTW, there is hope. A relative, using the exact same insurance, had a wonderful Soma and Soul experience with JAG rehabilitation. Go figure Soul survivor
