The staff is very attentive, always making sure to accommodate any personal needs and physical limitations. The location is easy to park at and the inside is always clean and tidy. In fact the aides walk around and clean every table after it's used to make sure it's 100% sanitary. I paid through insurance, but the costs did not need seem high, especially considering the high quality of care. They are also open late many nights (until 9pm) so it's a fantastic option for NYC commuters and those with busy schedules. My physical therapist was Nicole who is moving to the Summit location. I highly recommend her - she's incredibly friendly and great to work with. Always takes the time to walk through stretches or workouts as many times as you need. She also explains the technical elements of your therapy in terms everyone can understand which makes you feel in control of your recovery/PT. I really don't think you can go wrong with any of the physical therapists here. They are all incredibly welcoming and helpful, even if you aren't their client. I was treating a 5-year old sprain and had seen 3 doctors and a physical therapist before, but after ~3 months with ProCare my pain is gone, my balance is back, and I feel completely in control of my previously fragile ankle. Thank you!!

I must say that the people at the Rahway NJ facility are just outstanding. My occupational therapist was Amory Kalalo, OTR, and I would recommend him to anyone who needs occupational therapy. His skills are impeccable and his compassion and caring go far beyond his work just being a job. When I came to Holsman, my left hand was very swollen and I was very limited in using my hand but after three months of therapy I am able to use my hand. Amory worked with me faithfully three times a week and he knew exactly what was needed to help me get use of my hand again and swelling gone. Right from the beginning he encouraged me by saying "I will do everything that I know to help get your hand to functioning as close to where it was originally". I was very optimistic and filled with hope and looking forward to start therapy. I am so thankful for his commitment to helping others because if it weren't for his skills, caring and encouragement I would not have recovered as well as I have. Thank you, Amory. I would also like to thank Oliver Francis Rivera for the physical therapy he provided. Francis always challenged me to keep trying to do better and not to give up even though each step forward might be a bit harder. Keeping that in mind, with every therapy session I endeavored to keep trying and over a period of three months I must say it was worth every step I had to do. I have learned that the end results made it all worthwhile. Thank you, Francis.

Was seemingly lied to and belittled by every ER doctor here. Was told by a Dr Kelly " oh you feel like you can't breathe, What do you expect me to do there's nothing, what what" As also told by a Dr Kelley that four broken and possibly infected teeth would not cause breathing problems because respiratory is not connected to mouth at all (lie?). Dr. Womack and Dr Grayson repeated this. Dr Grayson also snapped and said heck if your teeth are bothering you see a damn dentist. We don't care about that here. Was told by a Dr. Silacci " your trouble breathing and heart problems are not the concern of this hospital." Was told by Dr. Davis "why are you expecting us to help you, how dare you expect us to fix your engine when this place is for tune ups. (Doctor likened patients to worthless pieces of scrap metal.) A nurse one time even put the pulse oximeter on my middle finger, showed me my own middle finger, laughed and then exited the room. Very bad. Hospital says that they will help you regardless of who you are or your ability to pay. They will not. I've had trouble doing things all my life. No one is really going to care what is really going or why something happened. Just shut up or TS. Things never really do get better as they say. Don't come here expecting them to save your life because they probably will not. Only worse. Don't know a place that is good to go as the healthcare I experienced in the area has only been bad. If you can't go elsewhere or fight for yourself....thats all she wrote. Even though you try to do what they day, you never really do get what you need. So keep that in mind as well folks. Whispers of gay conversion therapy also reared its ugly head. Didn't know that was still a thing. Yikes!

There were several times when there were 6-10 patients there with only 1 or 2 physical therapists. The PT assistants were not good. They would approach me and ask "what exercises did you do last time"? Never checking my file or consulting with my "PT". I also thought that the staff had excessive conversations with each other about sports, places to eat and their weekends. I felt like I was at a "frat party" several times. Unprofessional in my opinion. They did not focus on the patients. They were quick to assign several exercises and then leave you to do them never supervising or checking if you were doing the exercises correctly. In addition, loud music was playing every time I was there ...the manager constantly changing it and checking in with the staff to see if they liked it. Really? The last appointment I had was a Friday at 3. There were 7 patients there while a baby shower (or some sort of party) going on during business hours!!!!!! All PT's and assistants were enjoying the party while we were sitting there for over 15 minutes waiting to start out session - SO UNPROFESSIONAL! I shared this with my Ortho Doctor and he said this was the only place he herd "not so good" things about this palce.

Why do physical therapy places always start out strong then fizzle?…read more Seems to be a trend here in New Jersey. My appointment was during a time there were four other patients, so I didn't get much one on one care, rather left to do exercises on my own for most of the time. I found myself being ignored and only did a few stretches with a physical therapist. This, I can do at home, I didn't need to waste an hour of my time. I get it, my issue is minor compared to others who seemed much worse off, but I still had an issue that needs to be resolved. By the grace of a higher power, I've been using an acupressure mat that was taking the pressure off my very tight calves and centralizing the pressure to my lower back. The issue I came here for originally is GONE! (Sensations in my foot, radiating from a nerve in my back). Interesting the physical therapist said this issue would never go away, but it did, thanks to that acupressure mat I started using a few days ago after a long hike with many hills. This morning I was doing exercises I haven't done in years and felt amazing, thanks to the acupressure mat that took the pressure off my calves. Now I know what the problem was and can easily zoom in on it. Anyway, my recommendation for anyone who needs a physical therapist, go to someone who works one-on-one if you have a minor injury. They tend to favor those with more serious injuries and ignore others. I've seen this here and in other physical therapy places too.
