I wasn't here for the yoga, but the cafe seems to fall under the same umbrella. Judging by prior…read morereviews it has gone through some major changes in its time. What I encountered was a good-sized cafe with sugary beverages, waffles, and pastries (they had one salad, but I wouldn't call it a health food place). The apple butter chai I went for delivered pretty much the flavor you'd expect from that name, rather excessively sweet but fun. A waffle with banana and some very sticky Nutella was nicely carmelized. I kind of wish they still had the salad bar that some of these other reviewers seem to have encountered, which if it still exists escaped my gaze. Nonetheless, the cafe was pretty good for what it was.

While strolling the street(s) of downtown Danville, my boyfriend and I were searching for a good place to stop in for a snack before our drive back to Lexington. After poking out heads in to look at the menu posted on the open door, we decided to have a seat when we saw there was also a bar with TVs so we could watch some march madness. Since it was St Paddy's Day, there was a drink special and we each ordered a beer as well as an order of chips and guacamole. The guac was plentiful and the bartender told us to let her know if we needed a refill on chips. There were a lot of other menu options that sounded appetizing and healthy as well, including juices, smoothies and smoothie bowls, coffee/tea, oatmeal, toast, salads, soups, and sandwiches! I can't speak with experience for the fitness classes; but they offer yoga, hot yoga, barre, pilates, as well as cycling classes. I can see this being a popular spot for Centre students, as its in an easy walking distance from campus. There was also a small stage set up for what looks like singers/bands/open mic nights! Plank on Main is definitely a great addition to downtown Danville

They pick up at the school and once back at the studio have play time and quiet/homework time. Martial arts classes are included in the after school program. Its great that kids have a dedicated time for exercise that encourages discipline, perseverance and teamwork. My younger child attends the Lion's Kids class which teaches skills that have use far beyond the studio. Each class has a theme such as listening, sportsmanship, leadership, or respect. The instructor is amazing, and I'm in awe of how she manages to keep a class of lively kids (all six and under!) on task and progressing through physical and social skills training. Class always ends with a fun game. My little one loves ninja bowling! My husband and I take classes twice a week. I've gotten stronger and I particularly appreciate the self-defense portions of the class. Thankfully I haven't needed to use these skills, but its good to know I wont be helpless if the situation arises. The owners and instructors are wonderful people and knowledgeable and patient teachers. As hard work is a core value to success, students don't get passed to the next class/belt level until they have demonstrated effort. If you are looking to surround yourself and/or your family with good people in an activity that will benefit their physical bodies as well as their personal development and self-confidence, I highly recommend Lion's Pride.
