I have been attending classes at Sterling for several months. This is an overused statement, but if…read moreI could give 10 stars I truly would. My doctor recommended that I work in sauna time to lessen inflammation, my PT recommended I do yoga (since I'm not super accountable about doing my at home exercises and stretches) and both of them recommended I work on my mindfulness and lowering my stress levels. So, I decided to try and do all three at once with Sterling classes. Not only are there a multitude of types of yoga offered (I typically do Vinyasa, Sterling 60 and Hot Pilates) but classes are 7 days a week with enough time slots that even the busiest of us could find a couple a week that would work. One thing that held me back at first was the fact that I had never done yoga prior to signing up here. I was worried about looking foolish, not knowing what to do and not getting much physical fitness improvement, so I put off going for a long time. For those of you that feel the same, let me put you at ease: 1. Every single instructor has been incredible. Personable, friendly, knowledgeable, they really know what they are doing. Throughout class they keep up a solid flow of instruction on poses, breath work, mindfulness and encouragement. 2. I was really worried about looking dumb in front of other participants...no sweat (pun wasn't intended, but I'm leaving it in ). Everyone is so fully focused on their own poses and breathing to pay attention to what people are doing around them. Everything is at your own pace, so no matter where you are in life, these classes can be a huge benefit physically. Just from the stretching and flexibility from Vinyasa and Sterling 60 I have been able to cut back my PT visits from every week to every 2-3 weeks. 3. As far as the the other participants...everyone is happy to be there. When you walk in the door, you can tell there is just a general spirit of positivity and welcome, it's really uplifting. If you're hesitant to try it out, they run a great special for your first month, and you can go to as many classes as you'd like. I could go on and on about it, but you should come see for yourself. It's truly made a huge difference for me physically and mentally; I encourage everyone, from any background, to check it out!

I enjoyed taking steps to discover layout and art pieces throughout. The center is on the 3rd floor. I saw a freight elevator on the 1st floor but I was not sure how to use it and wanted the brief cardio up the stairs. Owner was very gracious regarding her business and offerings. I really enjoyed the experience overall! The highlight was the rain/wave sounds...something unique and extremely soothing for me. This was my second sound bath, but my far the best. The only annoying part was the cell phone interruptions...although vibrations, still irritating. Although Facilitator encouraged participants to turn phones off, I wished that was strictly enforced. I placed my cell in my shoes in the cubby area at entrance. There are hammocks and lounge chairs available for those that don't want to be on the floor. I also appreciated yoga blocks and leg pillows for extra comfort. Extra blankets and pillows were at sitting spot also. I definitely desire to return with family and/or close friends that would enjoy and benefit from this form of meditation and relaxation. I also purchased some affordable incense onsite. I liked the option to purchase things that would encourage/enhance my relaxation at home.
