I was begrudgingly drug to Ivy's hot yoga 3 years ago. Having a CrossFit and lifting background for…read more15 years, I conveniently neglected all flexibility/mobility for years. Well, all my weaknesses were quickly exposed. And Ivy was sure to point this out to me in her 'tough-love' style. The constructive criticism resonated and I decided to make mobility a priority. After 3 years of hot yoga and private sessions with Ivy, I feel the best I have in 20 years. I'm a skier and a golfer - the mobility improvements have made me significantly better at both. And more importantly, I can touch my toes and just move better in daily life. This progress has come with a lot of pain and suffering, but it's been worth it. Ivy has been invested in my improvement, which has made all the difference. In her words, I went from a mangy dog on the side of the road to now an average functioning human. I enjoyed taking steps to discover layout and art pieces throughout. The center is on the 3rd floor. I saw a freight elevator on the 1st floor but I was not sure how to use it and wanted the brief cardio up the stairs. Owner was very gracious regarding her business and offerings. I really enjoyed the experience overall! The highlight was the rain/wave sounds...something unique and extremely soothing for me. This was my second sound bath, but my far the best. The only annoying part was the cell phone interruptions...although vibrations, still irritating. Although Facilitator encouraged participants to turn phones off, I wished that was strictly enforced. I placed my cell in my shoes in the cubby area at entrance. There are hammocks and lounge chairs available for those that don't want to be on the floor. I also appreciated yoga blocks and leg pillows for extra comfort. Extra blankets and pillows were at sitting spot also. I definitely desire to return with family and/or close friends that would enjoy and benefit from this form of meditation and relaxation. I also purchased some affordable incense onsite. I liked the option to purchase things that would encourage/enhance my relaxation at home.
