StressLess Remodeling - Masonry/Concrete Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

StressLess did a great job remodeling my kitchen counters. They look so much better! They did the remodel super fast. Would recommend.

After almost 20 years our concrete pool deck had multiple cracks as well as the color of the surface had faded. We researched various companies and received bids to resurface the deck, steppingstones, and our patio. Leah Hare, the Design Consultant, explained the various characteristics (UV stable, slip resistant, cooler surface, crack resistant, low maintenance, etc.) of installing a recycled rubber product (Rubberstone) rather than going with flagstone, stamp or an epoxy covering. She was very professional in her presentation of the Rubberstone product and did not pressure us to make a decision. Based on the Rubberstone product to be installed over an existing surface, multiple colors available, a 6-year warranty and reasonable price, we decided to go with Stressless Remodeling. On the day of installation, the installers Martin (lead), Francisco and Anthony arrived on time and resurfaced the pool deck, steppingstones and patio within 4 hours including cleanup time. They were very professional and personable. The workmanship was excellent and we are so pleased with the results. Looks great! We highly recommend Stressless Remodeling if you are in need of resurfacing your pool deck and related areas. read more

Disappointing Experience -- Deposit Kept Despite No Work Being Confirmed or Performed I had a very disappointing experience with StressLess Remodeling and would encourage other homeowners to carefully review all paperwork before signing or paying a deposit. On July 11, 2026, a Stressless Remodeling representative came to our home to discuss installing rubberized cool-decking. The initial estimate was over $22,000, which was beyond our budget. After discussing potential discounts, the price was reduced to $16,560. I explained that we needed to consult with our financial advisor before making a final decision and determine whether we could afford the project. We were told that a $1,000 deposit was required to hold the discounted price, which we paid. During the meeting, we understood that we were reviewing an estimate. The cancellation terms and the consequences of losing our deposit were not explained to us. In the days that followed, I communicated with the office and explained that we were still trying to determine whether we could secure the necessary funds. On July 20, I called and explained that we could not afford to proceed. I requested cancellation confirmation and a refund of our $1,000 deposit. No work had been scheduled or performed, no materials had been installed, and the project never moved forward. After following up, I was eventually told that the company would not refund our deposit because of a provision in the contract. I formally requested the return of our money and explained our concerns, but the company has not responded to my written request. What has been most frustrating is the lack of communication and the company's unwillingness to work toward a reasonable resolution when no installation or remodeling work took place. I understand the importance of contracts, and I recognize that customers should read documents carefully before signing. However, I believe important cancellation terms and financial consequences should be clearly explained, especially during an in-home sales consultation involving a substantial purchase. Based on my experience, I would urge anyone considering StressLess Remodeling to read every page of the contract, ask specifically whether the deposit is refundable, and obtain written clarification of all cancellation terms before paying anything. I am still seeking the return of our $1,000 deposit and would welcome a fair resolution. read more

We had our rubberstone installed in May of 2023. ($15,379.00) We were told at that time it would need to be re-rolled every 4-5 years. We were told by our salesperson that the re-roll would cost approximately $1k every time we did it. The product barely made it to 3 years before it dry-rotted, became sun-bleached and started to crumble. (Not to mention - it because hard and not pliable anymore) July 17th of 2026, we called the company to get a quote for a re-roll. We learned the hard way this company changed their name from Rubberstone AZ to StressLess Remodeling. (now we know why) They did not quote us anything CLOSE to $1,000 and the total estimate was over $2,300.00. We reluctantly agreed and paid it in full because we didn't want to risk voiding the warranty on the product (which was already failing at the time). Two weeks go by and we hear NOTHING from StressLess Remodeling. They accepted our payment, and ghosted us. On 08/20/2026, I reached out via email to Rubberstone AZ to let them know that the company they referred to us "StressLess Remodeling" just ghosted us after cashing our check. THAT is when I learned they were one and the same company. They eventually came out to re-roll the decking and 3-4 days later, I noticed how streaky and blotchy it was. At first, I thought they just missed a few spots but it goes way beyond that. Some areas had a high sheen (like when it was originally installed), others had a lower sheen and other spots were still crumbly, sun bleached and remained untouched. I explained to someone named "Aaron" that it looked better when it all looked horrible because at least it was a consistent shade of deterioration. Now, it was blotchy and streaky all through the decking. Getting them to come back out a final time was like pulling teeth. Calls and texts went unanswered or we were blown off. They finally came back today to "touch up the spots that were missed" (clearly missing the entire point of how inconsistent the coloring and sheen is). When the techw was finished, he stated that even though he re-rolled it, it still looks the same. He went on to say, that indicates to him that "there wasn't enough glue in the mixture at the time of install". (This makes no sense to me and there was not an issue with uneven/blotchy-ness until the re-roll... but whatever) I asked him, "So you're saying it's just going to look like that?" His response was "Yeah - unfortunately" We gave them first opportunity to do the re-roll, waited for days (even weeks) for them to respond to inquiries - gave them ample time and opportunity to correct a poor job/poor product and at this point, I am done chasing down a company to do the right thing. We've got upwards of $20,000.00 in with this company (under two different names) and a deck that looks like amateurs installed it. It certainly does NOT look like a $20k deck! I would strongly suggest that anyone considering this company- to learn from our costly mistakes - and move along to someone else. read more

The follow up is horrible. This company is a one and done..... Stay away from them. I'm going to ROC and file a complaint. This company has been out here 4 times for install and repairs for the last 3 years... read more

StressLess Remodeling - Love the results from stress less. I definitely recommend them for your remodeling needs - Masonry/Concrete Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

Since my original review, the Rubberstone product has not performed to our expectations. We have cracks and imperfections that we were now told by Stressless Remodeling that "we don't cover". Dean, whom I mentioned in my first review never returned our calls. He was the salesman for our job. We have a warranty for 2 years, but when we called for assistance, we were told there was no coverage. Calling the office was a waste of time. Calls weren't returned. We did have a brief conversation with someone named "Lelo", which turned into text messages that were not returned. I would absolutely NEVER recommend this company - Stressless Remodeling - based on the service we received. "Stressless" has provided inferior service from the get go with the Rubberstone product and do not follow up on their warranties. In reading other reviews, those people have experienced the same issues we have - lousy workmanship and horrible warranty follow-up. We are seniors, and money spent for us is important. This was a sad waste of our funds. I see the owner of this company, Derek Wood, boasting on the website of their great service and it is not true in our case. I don't write a lot of reviews, but this one felt important. read more

StressLess Remodeling did an exceptional job with my remodel. I would definitely recommend.

For anyone considering them, know that StressLess Remodeling is a DBA of BurWood, LLC (ROC #316055), which filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy on June 26, 2026 (Case #2:26-bk-06345-DPC). Had StressLess Remodeling install rubber pool-deck coating on 9/2. The problems were immediate: footprints in the coating, decking lights pulled up and left hanging, rubber stuck all over the pavers and covers around the pool, glue on the bottom of the pool, and trim already coming apart. It took a month just to get repairs scheduled. They were supposed to come today (10/1) at 11:30 to fix the problems and no-showed. Found the above info when I searched to make a licensing complaint. read more

Over 2 weeks since StressLess made a mess of our pool deck. They completely covered the pool coping on one side, and the other side is a mixture of our landscaping rock and their coating stuck together. We had an appt to fix this yesterday, and when they no showed, we were told the crew Mgr had a heat injury the day before. Manager Aaron in Phoenix told us they would come today, Friday, but wouldn't give us a time. 4:00 now so looks like another no show. Unsure what to do at this point. BUYER BEWARE read more

StressLess Remodeling - River rock with StressLess concrete coating stuck to side of deck - Masonry/Concrete Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

3 years ago we had a great experience when we had Rubberstone installed on the cool deck and patio. We noticed the finish had become dull and some of the edges had started deamination so we asked them to come look. They arranged to come make the repairs under warranty and have is a quote to "re-roll" all of it which is supposed to only happen once every 5 years to retain the 10 year warranty. We paid the quote on full and waited to get scheduled. Couple weeks go by and I had to contact them to ask about getting scheduled. After 7 to 10 days I had to contact them again and finally a couple days later we were scheduled. The repairs look good although the color doesn't match but the "re-roll" looks spotty with light strips her and there. We sent texts with pics and waited another 15 or 18 days without hearing anything. Finally we sent an angry text about the lack of follow through our communication and they got back to us with a scheduled day to come address our concerns. They were scheduled to be here last Friday and called to say they wouldn't make it and asked if Monday would be OK. Monday they also didn't make it and rescheduled for today (Wednesday). Technician showed up and used a roller on the discolored areas and then explained that the problem was there wasn't enough glue used during installation which is strange because it wasn't spotty until they did the maintenance. Won't be referring them to anybody in the future and am definitely not looking forward to having to give them more business in 3 years for another "5 year" service. read more

Stressless Remodeling was great during the initial stages of installation. The install team was great, friendly and professional. The difficulties started when I called about some fading we were experiencing. We followed the deck care plan of spraying the treated surface area weekly. We found that the decking itself appeared to fadinf in large patches exposed to the sun. The ateas under the porch covering is fine but the sun exposed areas just got worse. After 3 phone calls and 5 direct emails during a 3 month period requesting assistance without a visit we have decided to address the problem publicly. read more

Can I give SIX stars?? From the start of booking an estimate to the finished deck, this couldn't have gone more smoothly. Our salesman David was extremely patient with us as we deliberated all our choices (we were still considering traditional "cool" decking) and never pressured us or tried to upsell. In fact, he went out of his way to be sure we got the best price possible. Once we booked it, communication from the project manager was timely and professional; I was happy with the emails and texts I received updating me with the estimate, work timeline, and day-of information. On installation day, the crew (Martin, Francisco, and Jorge Sr.) were punctual, friendly, and efficient. They maintained an immaculate worksite, even laying down tarps in our driveway for where they'd be running the wheelbarrow across to the back yard. They worked solidly for their entire time on the job, but were friendly when I popped out with questions or to take photos. I was especially impressed with the care they took with the edging around our pool--I'm sure they sighed a bit when they saw all of the cutout edges and corners (what a job this would be!) but they cheerfully took it in hand and spent as much time on each joint as it took to make it perfect. They were so careful with trimming the edges of the grass so as to be able to trowel the rubberstone in a perfect arch all the way around--it looks absolutely beautiful. The attention to detail was above and beyond what I expected. I'm absolutely delighted with the look of the new deck. Our poor old deck was in such bad shape, and now the back yard is completely transformed. It's truly gorgeous! We (including all the grandbabies) spend virtually the entire summer in and around our pool, so having a softer, cooler surface than traditional "cool" deck is going to be a game-changer. I'll update this post with a photo of little ones sitting on it in July, in case folks want proof of yes, it really is cooler than anything else! read more

We have been trying to get this issue resolved since August 2024. In January 2025, we even received a written guarantee letter from the owner, Derek Woods, assuring us the problem would be corrected. Unfortunately, the product did not last, and despite repeated attempts over more than a year, nothing has been properly resolved. We have dealt directly with the owners, Denya and Derek Woods, regarding replacement of the failed product, with no meaningful follow-through. Their employees do not keep scheduled appointments, often fail to show up, and have left our childcare center out of compliance on multiple occasions, which is completely unacceptable. This level of negligence puts our business and licensing at risk. This was a $28,000 job, and the lack of professionalism, accountability, and reliability is shocking. We would never recommend this company. We were referred to them through 3TV, and we will be contacting them regarding this experience as well. We will also be reporting this matter to the Arizona Registrar of Contractors. Extremely unprofessional from start to finish. read more

I paid Stressless Remodeling & ConcreteCoating $5,000 to coat my pool deck. Salesreps and the owner assured me cracks and crabgrass would be handled, but the crew said during installation the product couldn't be leveled over cracks and grass would grow through. The finished job has loose coping, a visible seam, and grass already growing through, and the company has repeatedly failed to schedule promised repairs. I want a full repair or refund.1/5 read more

Blown away! First, major kudos to David and his team (Angel and Josh) for doing an awesome knockout white glove service for installation. These guys were second to none and we couldn't be happier. David also stuck around after because our dog somehow broke through the barrier we set up and got onto the rubberstone just as David was getting ready to leave for the day. David took the time to fix what he could and promised to come back the next day to fix the rest. To say we appreciate David is an understatement. Next, Leah was really helpful with the quote and walking us through the process. Thank you. Derek, the owner, made himself personally available to us to answer all our questions and was great to do business with. We really appreciate all you did to get the job done.
