One advise, if you have a busy scheduled day on Saturday, DO NOT make your appointment to see Calvin on Saturday. Worst experience ever!!! I made an appointment at 12:00pm one time on a Saturday, and I arrived on time, as usual. I don't usually see Calvin on Saturdays, but that day because I have other plans going on that week. Man!!! Worst decision ever. Anyways, to make the story short. I waited for 30 mins, until 12:30pm and the damn receptionist did not tell me anything regarding the schedule run behind, I had no clue until she asked me to change (patient gown) in the treatment room. I nicely told the receptionist that it would be nice if she would tell me that I might have to wait for 30 mins until I get my chance to go into the treatment room, cos I might think of rescheduling if that day didn't work out. Guess what? This is not the end of the story. After waited for 30 mins, I realized that I need to go to the bathroom because I knew that I will be on the treatment/massage table for 1 good hour. The dumbest thing is, they would never let any patients to use the "Staff washroom" which locate just next to the treatment room. So, not knowing when I would have a chance to go in, and the moment she called my name, I have to pee. The next thing I know, I have to walk all the way to the washroom located near the food court. Now, I just want you to think outside the box for 1 minute here. You're already running behind, your patients are not happy, and now she has to go look for a bathroom but knowing there is one just next to the treatment room which none of the patients are allowed to use. GIVE ME A BREAK!!! Is this what you call Customer Service?? BBBBBBBBBBSSSSSSSSSSSSSS, my dear!!! There are a lot of things this clinic needs to learn: WHAT IS CUSTOMER SERVICE. I don't feel like I have been serviced, except during the time while I was lying down on the treatment table. That was it. As for my individual experience with my physio therapist Brendan, he was great: Super nice guy, very personable. He was extremely accommodating, even offering to do my physio outside on a day when I had a sick dog that I couldn't leave unattended. He did a great job in identifying the best treatment for my injury, as well as teaching me the necessary exercises to do at home. The treatment is good and professional, except... appointments are scheduled for approx 45 mins. I rarely receive treatment within 20 minutes of my arrival or leave after 1 hour of treatment. And asking for treatment to occur within the scheduled time causes treatment to become forced and rushed. I am grateful for the treatment, just an FYI not to plan anything after appointment.

She was courteous and patient and really took the time to have me properly set up. I couldnt manage to secure an appointment before an upcoming trip so I had to go to another clinic for follow up.The doctor at the other clinic spoke very highly of the treatment I had been provided at Marpole Physiotherapy Clinic so far. He actually encouraged me to continue physiotherapy there as soon as I could find a spot. This is the only downside I could think of...like all good things, they are in high demand. You need to book an appointment as soon as possible because spaces fill up. I read a comment about Gordon being aloof. Some people prefer a therapist that acts with a lot of jokes,camaraderie and lots of humor. Personally I value professionalism and most importantly respect when someone will enter my personal space for treatment purposes. As a woman, I have felt uncomfortable at other places when I went for regular massage. At Marpole Physiotherapy I felt comfortable,safe, respected and in good hands at all times. Great therapists at this location but more expensive than other clnics…read more Donnie is my regular RMT. He has incredibly strong hands that can dig deep into my muscles and break down the knots. Thomas is another RMT at this Lifemark but his methods are different. He prefers active stretching and movements vs the deep sports massage techniques. Jennifer is a friendly, knowledgeable physiotherapist. We have a love-hate relationship especially when she starts digging into my knots with the needles. She does a great job assessing and providing me with the rehab exercises to facilitate my healing process.
