Just read the fine print that there is a yearly fee of $45 once a year on top of the monthly membership and one time initiation fee (that was donated to a charity) It does get busy on the weekends and after 5pm which is the norm at most gyms. Wished people would wipe down their mats after they sweat all over it. So I have to wipe the mat before and after I use it.

You can go in, be under the radar do your stuff and get out or you can ask for help, small talk get to know people, whatever is you. I'm over 60, male, and in 6 months my strength, balance and endurance has made big improvements. No juice bar, coffee counter here . The classes also lack equipment like battle ropes, rowers, bikes, ect. I prefer the location, the vibes, the members, and the staff at Valley Fitness Herndon. They focus a lot on each move when it comes to Olympic lifting. When working on any barbell move one must be willing to slow down, leave your ego at the door, and start with light weight until the movement comes naturally. This is paramount and both coaches are adamant about this. A great deal of focus is on proper stretching, this helps avoid injury which is also a great thing especially if you want to be 80 years old one day and still putting up some nice power cleans. In addition, Atlas Barbell and KBC Crossfit share a building. Barbell Club is a great transition for those of us that also want to do crossfit.
